What had happen was...lol...I started to take my treadmill out of the box and following the steps on the manual i got stuck after step 1 where i had to remove shipping bracket by removing the screws, well the screws were too tight and i ended up stripping the screws. Just see what I got: - they send only one worker instead of team, as promised; - he do not have leader (used my), correct tools and materials (left 2 times to the Home Depot to buy insolation and patch; - he do not cover floor with plastic or fabric, left big mess after patching and I have to clean myself after him; - he used my old painted and broken piece of drywall. I asked and we agreed to instal 2 new sheets, because existing ceiling is damaged by roof leaking!!!; - he patch ceiling very unprofessional. A lot of space are missing; - he asked to be paid $550 for 5.5 hours working. Agreed rate is $75/hour; Trips to Home Depot included; I hope this company will fix all of this for their own expense. I used this service several months ago to replace my front door. Unfortunately, the handyman that arrived had no idea what he was doing. I should have trusted my instincts when he arrived with sandals on. He didn't have the right tools and cut the door wrong on the bottom and cut the hole for the lock too big. After 6-8 aggravating hours, we asked him to stop. He asked for payment for his time and of course we refused. We asked him to pay us for the door he ruined and the delivery cost for new door. After a discussion, he agreed and immediately went to the bank and gave us the money. I emailed the service and they immediately apologized and made sure it was resolved. I mean really? I reached out for help changing out old outlets and light switches. After asking about the scope of work they said they're fully booked. When I said like fully booked forever they responded saying until March. They didn't ask if I was ok with that they basically refused the work. The handyman showed (late) only to tell me that he couldn't do it. Had to reschedule. Avoid this company at all costs. They permanently ruined our wood floors and are refusing to take responsibility. We'll probably end up taking them to court for this. We wanted to get some scratches on our kitchen floor patched up as well as fix up some wall paint where we had drilled something into the wall. Seems easy enough right? This company managed to mess up *both* of those things. Our walls are regular white color. Somehow they painted them off white color so there are now giant splotches of off white paint on our walls. Very visibly so. Don't even get me started on the floors. Instead of pathing up a few minor scratches they somehow ended up waxing (???) our entire house (????). To the point where the floors are now ruined and we'll have to pay thousands and thousands of dollars to get that fixed. Couldn't have imagined someone could mess up so badly. Here's the best part - of course they're refusing to take responsibility. At first they tried to claim that they never even came to our house and didn't do any of this. Lol?? Once we provided clear photos of their guy being inside our house on our cameras, all the texts about confirming the appointment, all the texts from them while being inside our house of course they couldn't use that card anymore. And even still now they're refusing to take responsibility for what they've done. This story isn't over yet and we're likely going to court over the damages. Given my experience I'm now strongly suspecting the other positive reviews on this page are fake. Avoid using this company at all costs. read more

I'm really not one to complain, but it was a number of things That added up that made the service unpleasant. First off, the tech showed up 15 minutes late without giving me any notice. He mounted the first TV and sound bar and they were both misaligned. I had to tell him multiple times to straighten it out, he would straighten out manually and not tighten anything in the back. He then started on the 2nd TV in the bedroom. I went back to look at the 1st TV he did in the living room and there was a screw that fell OFF that I had to get him to put back on. Very worry-some. Also he installed the sound bar higher than what we agreed upon without letting me know. Apparently he didn't have the right tool (L shaped screw driver) so he just put the sound bar higher because it was easier for him. (NOT WHAT I WANTED) He could have at least let me know what he was going to do before he just did it. The worst part of the service was when he was installing the 2nd TV he broke/ripped off an LED light wire I had on the back of the TV and tried to tell me that it was already like that. This was very frustrating. The wire was in tact before he ripped it off. I confronted him about this and he said that there was nothing he could do. The LED light he broke was $200 and didn't offer any kind of resolution. He was also trying to up charge me at the end of the service. I had to refer back to the messages I had between me and the company to get the correct pricing. Apparently they contract free-lance handy-men and don't actually have employees. He then had the audacity to tell me if I needed anything else to contact him directly and not through the company- like I would ever want him to step foot in my home ever again. I initiated my search with multiple inquiries for a company to build our lattice gate and privacy wall. Fortunately, Shatun Brothers replied back immediately and offered such a reasonable price, I knew this was the company to trust. Communication with the rep was easy and transparent including the method of payment. Today, at 9am sharp Denis arrived at my front door, ready to work. A few hours later, I had the nicest looking replacement gate and lattice which exceeds all expectations. Denis worked hard, without a break and cleaned up so thoroughly after the project was completed, you would never know any work had been done. I'm embarrassed to say the area was cleaner after than before he started! Denis was professional, easy to communicate with, and even though it was a huge pain in the butt, wore shoe covers in the house to protect our light colored wood floors and rugs. Unlike past experiences with contractors who accidentally ding/mark the walls, he was very careful and respectful bringing large power tools, ladder, etc. in to the house. I needed a desk assembled and I got a decent quote from Denis. I originally had it scheduled for 9:30 but the handyman assigned to my job had car trouble and they had to reschedule to 4:30. They informed me of this at about 7:30pm at night the day before after I could have had a chance to book someone else (I had made the deal earlier in the day) so I'm docking them a star for that. Their tech arrived within 2-hours, just as promised. He came with a abundance of tools which inspired my confidence. I showed him all the tasks that needed his skill, including mounting a wall hung tv and hanging various sized pictures and mirrors. He took-on the tv first. We asked if he needed any assistance given the size of the hanger and tv, but he politely declined. He worked masterfully and so efficiently; the tv was hung within half an hour. After receiving a few quotes via Yelp, I chose Shatun Bros because they responded promptly and provided the best hourly rate for repairing doors in my home. I sent pictures and spoke to a rep from them - Denis I believe - he was polite, funny, and explained the options. Because there is a minimum of 3 hours for a job, I made sure to have a few extra repairs to have the handyman check out - needless to say, I had more fixed than expected. The handyman was nice enough and came prepared for doors - when he walked in, he first wanted to see all the tasks listed as well as the extras so that he could only make one trip to the store (I appreciated that!) - only had to visit the store once (40$ charge) for screws which I would have expected them to have, though I cannot complain since I believe he had another item on hand. What did they repair? Here's the run-down: reattached a door hinge that had fallen out of the doorframe, replaced 2 doorknobs (which I had bought a few years ago but did not replace lol), shaved off a wooden door, so it would close more smoothly, added a plate to the door frame so bedroom door would actually close, fixed rear door handle/lock which I could never get to stay closed. (old home and fixtures) A few of my backup repairs could not be completed due to lack of tools, but it was expected since they were not exactly "door" related (drawers and windows). Avoid them at all costs. I never thought I'd be writing one of these reviews, but hopefully this will spare someone else the frustration and expense. We contacted Shatun Brothers to insulate and drywall our Tuff Shed (for home office/gym), install laminate flooring, and paint. We asked for a crew of 2, and were told that the job would take 2-3 days. Tl;dr - they didn't have a truck so they had us pay someone else to deliver the materials, they charged us to buy their tools, and they spent 2 10+ hour days and still didn't finish the drywall, which looks like a mess and needs to be totally redone. They also built a ramshackle ladder/platform out of wood that they charged us for - which is a total safety hazard, and if we had known they were going to build that we would have just bought a second ladder. We ended up telling them to not come back, and have been reaching out to the owner to get this resolved but haven't received a response. Now the story: I should have trusted my gut when they showed up in a Toyota Prius/Nissan Versa type car, and ended things there - how are you going to go buy drywall and bring it back to our house with that car? (Answer is, they hired a day laborer at Home Depot to deliver - at my expense. I paid the guy, it's not his fault I'm getting nickel and dimed). The crew spends 3 hours at Home Depot, which is only 1.5 miles away from our house, buying materials for a 10'x12' Tuff Shed at getting them to our house. I'm frustrated, but the materials have arrived, so whatever - they get to work. They work for 8.5 hours on the first day, and manage to get all of the insulation installed and the drywall on the ceiling, so about half of the total drywall (maybe a little under). Seems like slow progress, but I don't know drywall so I figured the shopping threw them off and they'd get back on track the second day. Second day comes around, they are at our house for a few minutes and then head to Home Depot again - which I don't know until I get a text from the project manager tell me to expect another call from Home Depot for charges. If they forgot to buy something on day 1, they should have told us before leaving - either we could go get it, or at least understand what they needed. As it was, we refused to pay until we got a list of what was needed and why (we never got that list). I told the project manager to tell the crew to just finish the drywall and insulation, and we'd take care of the other stuff on our own time. They said no problem, they talked to the crew and the crew estimated they would finish around midnight. The crew is then at our house for about 12 hours that day, leaving at almost 11pm. They don't notify us that they leave, I just saw them leave on our doorbell camera, so I assumed they were done and went out to check the shed. Not only was the drywall not finished, but the job site was a complete disaster. They didn't lay anything down on the floor so there is dust, dirt, and chunks of dried drywall everywhere. It looks like they used drywall mud/plaster across the full sheets of drywall, rather than just patching the screw holes and plastering over the drywall tape. They don't even cut out the hole for our A/C unit (which we told them about - also there's a big hole in the exterior wall of the shed where the unit should go) and I don't know how they planned to cut it out, as they didn't have a saw. The drywall is too far out from the electrical outlets, so I don't know how they intended to mount the outlet covers - I don't even know where the covers went, I've been looking for them since the crew left and can't find them anywhere (I had left them in the shed). I don't know if the crew they sent was in over their heads but didn't want to admit it, or if they were just bad. The only good thing I can say about them is that they showed up on time. Everything else was enough to disqualify them from ever getting my business, ever again. My only hope is that the owner makes this right. read more
