I recently visited Vancouver with family and wanted to avoid the hassle and potential high costs…read morewith international plan with ATT so I decided to look into renting portable WIFI hotspots. Since I am a techie myself I researched many different companies offering this service. I ended up with WIFICube because it was the easiest to deal with in terms of being able to pick up and drop off directly at the Vancouver airport with a kiosk versus dealing with paying for shipping and waiting for the device to arrive at our residence prior to the trip and then mailing it back after the trip. The whole process was pretty painless, except for this. I purchased the Canada PLUS plan for unlimited data for 6 days. When I got the hotspot device from the airport, I noticed that it shows 10GB limit and was on ROGERS network. I figured maybe the limit is a soft limit, and once we have reached the 10GB it might throttle our speed down to a slower speed or something. I read the disclosure about data limits and no where did it indicate a CAP or limit for data usage, but 4 days into my trip we had hit 10GB/10GB and that's where the problem hit. The connection stopped working altogether. The hotspot itself still on and working, our devices still connect to it via WIFI, but the Internet connection from the hotspot to ROGERS stopped completely. I finally drove by a Starbucks so that I can email the WIFICube support about the problem. Never got a reply while we were still in Vancouver. That was a week ago, still not a peep from the company about my question to them why it was NOT UNLIMITED as advertised. Hence this bad review ... if you don't expect to hit the 10GB limit with the Unlimited Plan, it will be fine for you, but otherwise, prepare for the worst. Very disappointed about their false advertising.

Purchased a Canada Plus plan and stopped working this morning…read more Emailed them 1 hour ago and still no reply. Can't really call them because I have no phone service here in Vancouver. I'll change the rating if they reply back and solve the problem. ------- Update: DAVID was able to come all the way to DT and help to reset the device! I really appreciate the help. I would suggest you guys to have some kind of instant message platform for customer service. Customers would get a much faster support. Thanks to David again!

So far still positive with my Internet and TV service with Telus. Came to check out the optic fiber…read moreinternet because I had enough with its competitor and how the service is wonky. I just got to the point, I had enough. So I remember one time visiting this store and they told me about the deals. It worked perfect because my area has optic fiber for a long time. So I signed up and yes I got a free TV but that will be delivered 3 to 4 weeks after installation. I was fine with that. So made an appointment for installation on April 2 at 8 am - 9 am. The appointment was booked back in beginning of March. After I made the appointment, I called their competitor to cancel. In end of March, I got a call from Telus rep and said they were coming April 15. I was shocked. I recall it was Saturday and it was beginning of the month. Luckly I checked and called back and they did rescheduled me April 2. When they came, they told me my house was not prewired underground with optic fiber and yes they had to drill a whole into the house. I freaked out. They said if I wanted just regular cable internet it would take 72 hours for it to activate. First world Problem, I can't wait 72 hours for internet!! They said most new houses are not prewired with optic fiber. The tech pointed out to ,my neighbor old houses and said "look it will be like that, Of course you will not have many wire just one thin wire." He promised he will not make the wire too visible. So at the end, I said yes and he installed it. I was pretty happy with the installation. Its not too bad. Plus I did get consistent or kind of close to 100 mps internet as promised on wifi. Awesome. Now I am just waiting for my free 50 inch TV
