    small shwarma dinner
    Rachel J.

I love this place. The shwarma wrap is so tasty and fresh. Shwarma meat is fresh tender, not at all greasy. I have also tried the Shwarma dinner, which is also excellent, all very fresh, and I love that it comes in two sizes (I found the small perfect portion for one)

NOW we're talking! This tastes so much like the shawarmas I used to have back in Montreal when I was in university. I got a chicken shawarma with a few extras - tabbouli and hummus. It's filled with pickles, onions, radishes, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage... I opted for the shawarma sauce (with hummus) which is likely that whitish garlicky, yummy sauce that most shawarma places have. The hummus is a really nice addition to mix in as well. The size of the thing is big, the bread looks like it was briefly put inside a panini maker and is toasty and warm, and the whole thing tastes hella-delicious. I'm halfway done my shawarma and I'm full but can't stop eating - asking for a friend. *gobbles it all up* DE-licious. *licks wrapper*

I ordered the small Shawarma Plate. Good value as I received a good amount of food for the price. For me there was a balanced ratio of chicken to rice. Chicken was seasoned and not dry and yellow rice was fluffy. Sauces complimented the meal - tahini, hot, and garlic. There was a seperate smaller styrofoam container for the salad vegetables. Overall, good but not a standout.

I've driven by this spot a few times a week for the last couple of years and it has only recently caught my eye because of my current shawarma craze. Finally tried it a few nights ago. The chicken shawarma (no beef) is hand cut from the spit so it is in nice chunks not like the paper thin shavings from Tasty. The wrap is large with lots of flavourful chicken. The tang and crunch from the turnips, pickles and banana peppers was perfect as were the other garnishes. The sauces are absolutely the best I've had so far. The large shawarma plate is so large that it is probably best to go small. The rice was great (again saffron?), the mixed salad too and the pickled turnips still had a nice crunch to it. The sauces, however, are on another level, especially the garlic sauce. Perfectly tangy and garlicky. I could have that sauce on everything!! My new go to spot for chicken shawarma. (Empire for beef)

I absolutely love falafels and this place makes them so so so so tasty !! They are fresh to order. I saw them make up the falafel batter and scoop them out and into the fryer. They are homemade and fresh! If you are in a rush, perhaps this wouldn't work for you, but if you want good falafels, this place will not disappoint! I ordered a falafel platter for me and a falafel wrap for my husband to go. The falafel platter had a salad, 3 falafels (they are quite large) and hummus. The tahini and hot sauce on top complimented the dish. I had the small platter and it was filling. It hit the spot! The inside has plenty of tables, suited for groups of 2-4 people. It was clean and well maintained. Service was super friendly and inviting. I would go back again and again for their falafels. So good.

A friend recommended Shawarma Frenzy, and she absolutely needed me to check them out - she literally asked if I had been on a weekly basis. So finally, on a Sunday afternoon, I decided to give them a shot. When I walked in around 1pm, the restaurant was completely empty and the staff were in the back. Within a minute one of the owners came out and asked me for my order. I asked her what each size looked like because I have found that not all small and large plates look alike. When she showed me the size of the small (looked like a medium to large to me), that's the size I went with. I also ordered a side of falafel. Each meal came with the choice of a drink or soup, and since I had heard great things about their soup, I just had to try it. The Good: Ingredients are fresh Care is taken into plating and quality Very reasonable prices Great portions Tasty food Friendly service BEST SOUP EVER! The soup was so delicious that I ordered one to go - large container for $1.99. The Not So Good: The soup was so flavourful and layered with flavors, the falafels not so much. I offered some to a friend that loves falafels and she did not care for them either. The shawarma plate was tasty, but not memorable. It needed a kick of flavor. After the soup, everything else simply did not meet expectations. The takeout container was flimsy, so my soup leaked all over the bag even though I held it upright the entire time. By the time I got home, half the soup was at the bottom of the bag. Even though I asked for no onions (hate them!), I ended up finding some in the dish. All in all, this family owned restaurant offers tasty food at very reasonable prices, and you will not leave hungry.

Came here for lunch today, it was pretty good and the cost was $7.05 taxes in for a small chicken shawarma plate. It was more than enough food and you get a choice of pop or soup and I got the lentil soup. It was clean inside and the lady who was serving was very sweet.

Shawarma is Too oily. They also don't "warm up" the pita bread. Other than that, I have no problem!

Compared to the other options, the offerings at this restaurant are more wallet friendly. Keeping with the royale theme, the sizes have royalty based names. As of the writing of this review, they have introduced a few twists on offer recently with their crispy wrap options. Of these, I tried the Hot & Cheesy which comes with a crispy, red spicy exterior shell that reminded me of a flaming cheese, while retaining the standard chicken shawarma fillings of meat, garlic sauce and pickles. I would recommend eating the crispy options immediately when ready. I also tried the standard chicken shawarma for comparison and it is pretty good too. I like the flexibility in being able to get a smaller or bigger wrap depending on the appetite. I also tried the falafel appetizer, and while the falafels were crispy on the exterior, I felt the filling was a bit too dense for my liking. I did appreciate the thumb indentures on the surface (a trick to ensure the falafel is cooked through in the middle more evenly). I feel service was a bit slower compared to other shawarma places, but they make up for it with variety and being more economical.

I have eaten at Fattoush twice - had takeout once and dined in recently. The menu primarily consists of sandwiches, hummus bowls, and other items like pancakes. They also serve coffee and teas as well. The concept of Fattoush is more like a fast casual dining spot. You order at the cashier and if you would like to dine in then you would pick an available seat to sit at. There are seats for about 15 customers available. I did have their hummus bowl and pancakes for takeout previously. Both dishes were made well and unique. If you love Middle Eastern food the pancakes are definitely a twist on the traditional American pancakes. In regards to my most recent dine in experience, I stopped by Fattoush on a Sun before noon. There were already 2 parties of 2 sitting down in about to enjoy their meals. I ordered a falafel sandwich and a flat white at the counter, paid for my items, and sat down (after telling staff I would enjoy my food items there). My order was made at a reasonable time. Flat white was made well. The falafel sandwich was delicious - the falafel was not dry at all. The stuffing in the pita consisted of tahini, veggies and pickles which went well with the falafels. Great meal and delicious food. Service was friendly and attentive as well. Overall, would definitely recommend trying out Fattoush if you are ever in the area! You won't regret it!

Israeli salad is a bit under-seasoned (for my liking), but nice aroma with plenty of herbs. Lamb Shish Kabob was also generous, a lot of large chunky meat cubes are cooked to perfect medium rare.
