    Chicken Shawarma Wrap
    Christine C.

This family owned spot PACKS their wraps, its no joke! We usually find it hard to finish it in one go (although no one is complaining having more of this for later). Everyone there is always so welcoming and truly serves with a smile. The chicken is so fresh and juicy and the wrap as a whole is a perfect bakance of flavors. It's easily in our top 3 places for shawarma in the city. The only major downside is the hours of operation. They're only open Mon-Fri from 11am-5pm. It's just not possible to get to if you work a typical Mon-Fri job.

The shawarma (15$) is actually the equivalent of 2-3 shawarmas. I almost thought he was joking as he made small talk with me and pulled a meat shovel out and extended my shawarma by TWO wraps. He then told me if I wanted more of anything don't hesitate and add whatever I want especially his Pamela Anderson sauce which tasted just like PA. Come here hungry and leave with a takeout bag. He even persists you take a box and bag and won't ask for tips or extras. Super amazing owners and great food.

Halal. Meat from J&J meat distributing. $16 for a chicken shawarma but they're putting enough for two people. $25 for a chicken plate. The special sauce tastes like a curry mango sauce. If you like that, then go for it but if not, maybe skip it. It tasted good though. Family-owned business. Super nice people. Very popular spot. Seating available. Lots of parking outside. Credit card accepted.

Well.... this is going to be tough, I definitely had a different experience from my fellow Yelpers. Staff was friendly but really pushy on what to order and not very accommodating of requests (banana peppers on the side? No, can't do that). Instead of answering my questions I was told to order the chicken or falafel shawarma since it was my first time, and was told that would be enough for me (he was referring to the portion size). How do know how much I can eat? I know some petite women who can chow down! There was definitely a language barrier: European, maybe Russian? Okay... I guess it will be the chicken shawarma spicy with everything on it including their specialty pickled mango sauce. The best thing about my meal was the hot sauce and the Canada Dry Blackberry Ginger Ale, everything else was just ok. Menu is very limited. Portions are HUGE and packed with meat so I'm rounding up my 2.5 rating to 3.

It was my first time trying this place and while I was deciding on what to eat, 5 people came in asking about their Shawarma. The owner kept saying they sold out for the day. But he recommended the Falafel and said "it's the best in the world" we though we'd give it a try. And it's definitely one of the best I've had. I will also be back for the Shawarma before it's sold out!

Large Chicken Shawarma Dinner (takeout) - that's all chicken, no rice! Came with a pita on the side to.

Finally ended up going to this place. It's closed on the weekends so if you can't get out of work for lunch or stop off on your way home then it's tough to actually catch when they're open. I ordered the $20 chicken shawarma plate complete with salad to take home. I understood before ordering that the portion would be huge...and let me tell you it was! The mountain of chicken was ridiculously tall I was surprised the box was able to close. This by no means is your shawarma covered in layers of sauce (for the Osmow's fan) and rice. The salad was fresh and also a good size for the order. I would like a little more flavor to the chicken; seasoning, spices or anything that could dress it up a bit. As a meat the chicken is good quality and look like actual sliced pieces - not mushy or thin dry flakes that many of us have come across when going to other establishments. The people who run this place are awesome. Friendly, polite and are proud of what they serve. I witnessed a few people from the nearby Goodlife drop in for a pita, no doubt for the mountains of chicken protein being offered. Not having to eat half an order of rice or thick tasteless pita to get to your chicken would entice anyone to drop in if they're monitoring food intake. Quantity over quality is a good representation for Pita Golden Pocket, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. My $20 meal will probably feed me for 3 days as the box was 80% chicken and 20% salad.

They were very generous with their portions, and had a very nice curry flavour! Did get a little messy though!

They made big mistake with my order but they were great at owning up to it and showed exemplary service in doing so. They got the grape vine wraps which goes great with fries. I will go back just for this. Keep in mind shawarma on weekdays may not be freshly grilled but kept in containers they scoop out of, or regrilled. But the beef shawarma good either way. Sauces for sharwarma in addition to regular sauces they have there is also a yogurt like sauce addition that give great taste. But all the side toppings does lean toward the saltier side. I'd recommend asking to replace all with rice. Lettuce on weekday seems a bit old, brown and yellow spots... try to go on weekends Eggplant dip bought separately tasted sadly underwelming but might be a thing for some people. I had much tastier eggplant dips especially the canned ones. Theirs seems home made. Their food is decent 3/5 and service 4/5. You will feel people working there cares, unlike Made in Mexico on main st new location in my recent trip. For competing sharwarma there is always Sharwarma Land on Yonge st to try around ten min drive south. The lack of fresh veggies and meat on weekdays sadly lowers rating.

Visited them a few days ago for lunch. We tried their…read morefalafel, they were very good. Moist, fresh and flavourful on the inside and crispy on the outside; exactly how a good falafel should be. (7 $) We also tried their oven baked salmon entree. It was very bland, not seasoned well and a little rare. It came with parisienne potatoes with were bland too(no salt/pepper; just seasoned with garlic and dill) as was the salad which was served with the entree. (22 $) Wife had a caeser salad for lunch. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. The parmesan was generous and flavourful but the salad lacked the dressing and tasted a little bland as rest of the meal. (10 $) The tea however was very nice. It was orange pekoe tea bag, served with mint leaves and a cinnamon stick. We'll definitely try this at home. (1.50 $ each) The restaurant is located in the industrial area, in the middle of nowhere. If it weren't for the groupon we wouldn't have ventured in the area. It was lunch hour and we were the only two customers there, which was very unusual considering this is located in an area where there are companies/offices all around. I think the price of the food might have to do something with it. The food was pretty pricey for everyday office lunch. These kind of prices would have only made sense in the financial district. There was a stage there. It seemed that there would be music performance during the weekends/evenings. Wish them all the best as they are new and still discovering themselves. Would love to see them succeed and be able to draw crowd to the location. Cheers!

Replacing the original Dr. Laffa location the owners did some serious upgrades to both decor and menu. The food here is quite good. A different season for every dish from most of the other places in the area. I enjoyed 3 of the classic dishes. Falafel Plate which was crunchy on the outside and came with a nice Dip. The Chicken sandwich was the large portion which was great to share and was very filling. The hummus ful was a meal on its own. These 3 plates 2 guys could not put it all down and was a reasonable $30 for a sit down lunch. With a full menu and even kids options at $10 I see some great success as word will spread. When we had first walked-in, we were surprised to see how small the restaurant was. However, we then noticed that most of the guests were doing take-out as opposed to dine-in. We were able to find a table for four, which was perfect for us. When we walked-up to the front counter to place our order, we were greeted by a kind hostess, whom took our orders without any issue. We then sat down, and watched as our orders were being prepared. We had to wait about fifteen minutes for all of our meals to be ready. We were surprised to see that the margarita pizza had olives on it, despite not seeing it on the menu. However, we just scooped them off since my children didn't want to eat the olives. For the falafel and kabab wraps, we were surprised to see how large they were, and for only $10.00! The kabab wrap (which I had asked for without onions), had two large pieces of kabab, which filled the wrap, along with the sumac and tomatoes. I enjoyed how tasty the wrap tasted, along with how filling it was. My mother also commented on how delicious the falafel tasted. Considering the prices that we had paid, we certainly go our money's worth! The service was also excellent, as we were brought our wraps directly to our table, while the pizza was placed on the table near to our table. Everyone was kind and considerate, making our stay a pleasant one. There were so many menu items to choose from, it was hard to narrow it down. Will definitely be back to try other items the next time around!

I like the 4 in 1 which allows you to sample different toppings at once. It's become my most preferred. The bread is doughy but depending on the option(s) picked, it may fall apart. Service is good. They pump out orders rapidly even when busy. Rarely do they miss ingredients, but rectify those errors. I've dined in more than take out. For a small establishment, it seems to be doing well. Draws in crowds at times. Food is prepped in front of you. Area is clean. Toppings are generous, as are the staff. The washroom is also clean and adjacent to the checkout counter.
