"Quick Appointment, But No Follow-Up or Care" While I appreciated the fast initial appointments and prompt MRI scheduling, there has been no follow-up since. I've made over two dozen calls and have yet to hear from the doctor directly about my results. Instead, I got a vague call from a call center -- I'm not sure if they're even qualified to discuss imaging results. The office staff never offered for the doctor to call me back, and no one responded to my questions about doing a telehealth visit. I had to pursue everything myself. To make matters worse, the phone system rarely connects you to a real person. Most calls go to a message queue, and it's unclear whether the doctor even gets those messages or if they stop with staff. I still haven't received a clear explanation of my MRI or a comparison to my previous one -- the very reason the doctor ordered the scan. The lack of follow-up, poor communication, and absence of basic patient care has been extremely disappointing. read more

This review is for the office staff. If I could give zero stars, I would. Staff communication is absolutely horrible. I was supposed to have an appointment in January. Apparently, in December, Dr. Zardouz moved offices. When I arrived for my appointment in January, I was told that he was no longer at that office. When I went to the correct office, I was told that they did not have an appointment for me and that someone should have called me to cancel. No one called. Since then, I have been calling at least once a month trying to get a new appointment. It is now June. I suffer from chronic headaches and migraines. This is not how you should treat patients who need assistance with pain management. read more

I went to Shawn (over one year ago) I had been having Cervicogenic Headaches for yrs by this time unfort, I didn't have the right MRI to show him however, first words out of his mouth , I am not going to give you more meds , I am taking about Rizatriptan (not narcotics) , I had told him I have had many Injections by my pain mgmnt and they weren't working and I had said my pain mgmnt want to put a machine in my head and I said I have major anxiety and that machine prob wouldn't work for me he said you should get it as everything has failed you (like it was my fault) and told me to take antideppressants , he jumped on this is a mental problem and I do have all my records proving all my spine issues fast forward to last month I not only have a cyst on my brain but a meningioma on the rightside where my headaches all are it was missed on my MRI , this MRI was with contrast , I am writing these so, these De's that think they know everything and demean patients think about how they treat someone regardless of schooling the patient knows their bodies, he was my second so called headache specialist that obvi only know about Migraines and have no answers so, they resort to mental illnesses as an answer and I was referred to him read more

Finally some real progress after a 4 1/2 year journey of unrelenting pain and, traveling from doctor to doctor for tests and procedure, with confusing results and no long term solution or relief. Dr Shawn Zardouz really listens to everything you have say and delivers results. He was able to look at my history and knowing the progression of prior treatments, outline a path to better relief. Pain is perhaps the most difficult thing to diagnose & manage, and I was patient as he worked with me step-by-step. I am now experiencing a sizable reduction in pain with the spinal stimulation implant he did a few months ago and now I am able to sleep on my back again, which is my favorite sleeping position and something I've been unable to do for many years. Normally I would go in and see my doctor in person but I didn't mind having a virtual conversation over the phone with my pain medicine doctor .I felt there was no need really to go in and see him in person we were just going over my pain level and my prescriptions and how everything was going so I felt that I liked having the phone conversation being in my home and talking to him over the phone instead of going in to see him in person. Dr Zardouz has been amazing! He has listened to me from the very beginning about my goals for treatment and not being in pain any more. I feel he has been very aggressive with my treatment as far as not just giving me a pill and seeing how I responded. He knew I wanted to get back to my normal way of life of biking, running, being active with my children, and he took every step imaginable to get me there. Doctor Zardouz is the best. He is so comforting. Sometimes I just want to give up on all my issues and the Doctor sets me straight every time. Dr Zardouz and his PA are really good. I have had substantial back and neck pain for sometime. These guys have really changed their approach. They are proactive and try to minimize your pain and keep pain levels down. Dr Z called me personally before and after a procedure. Before to make sure it was still appropriate and after to check on me. Their new office is state of the art and they are able to handle a ton of procedures right there in office. I could not be more pleased by my experience with Dr Zardouz. He is highly trained and well respected in his field. The treatment he provided to me exceeded my expectations. I am pain free for the first time in months. The staff at the pain center was a different story. Many times I could not get through to the front desk. When I called the back office I was told by answering device that I would get a call back in 72 hours or less. 72 hours... I'm in pain. I had a prescription for a patch that I knew would be turned down by my insurance but Dr Zardouz assured me that he could get approval through appeal. I tried via phone and through My Chart that the doctor had agreed to writing a letter. This was on a Monday morning. I was in extreme pain due to sciatica. I fought hard to get support but I get getting the same run around that my pharmacy had turned me down. They made no effort to resolve this simple problem. I still had 10 more days until my injection. The doctor called me and told me to come in on Monday. The back office person with whom I had a problem told me to come at 11 but I sat there until 12 in a pretty empty office. He assisted the doctor but was less than cordial to me. I received a call the next morning from the doctor that appeal was granted and that they would call in my prescription. I have yet to get it but once the doctor wrote the letter it was done. If only the assistant would have done this on Monday I would not had to wait a week in immobilizing pain. I say go to the doctor but don't expect much service from the staff. I watched the yesterday taking lunch orders with their backs turned while 3 patients waited in line. It's a pain clinic for God's sake. read more
