Shawna is great! I called her because my family had to make a last minute trip to the Philippines, and she was able to take care of Lucas for about a week and a half. It is very clear that she is passionate about what she does, and she really does care about all of the dogs welcomed into her home! She only takes small dogs, and her house is set up perfectly for it. There is plenty of room to play! I loved that my dog was able to stay in a home-y environment as opposed to being stuck in a kennel. He was able to play with the other dogs and run around. Lucas was having a hard time eating after I left, and Shawna really took care of him. She has frozen mixes of homecooked food (good for dogs) that she has just in case any of the dogs has an upset stomach or a hard time eating. She is very good about responding to emails and texts, and she will email you pictures of your dog during their stay! She even posted a youtube video of Lucas so we could see how he was doing and were reassured he was okay. Shawna took wonderful care of Lucas, and she is just so caring and knowledgeable. We love Shawna because she loves Milo! She is the only person we trust to leave Milo with overnight. There's plenty of space for the dogs to run around in (including her huge backyard), they never have to go in a crate, and they are never alone. In other words, this is one of Milo's favorite place to be. Shawna is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. She even gave me advice on how to handle Milo's separation anxiety. This past thanksgiving weekend was our first experience leaving our dog alone. Our original pup sitter fell through early in the week, so we found Shawna on Yelp and made an appointment to meet her. Our first impression was that she truly loved animals, and second that she was very professional. We were confident we had found the right person to look after our pup, and WE CERTAINLY DID. Shawna updated us through text messages after every visit and even brought our pup turkey on thanksgiving (of course assuring us not too much to make her tummy upset). She makes sure all dogs go through a screening process which I believe is the safest way to run a day care business. Although, I never brought my dog here for day care. Shawna and her pack was excellent with my little sister (5 year old Cock-a-poo). Jaden has been doing quite a bit of traveling back and forth from san diego to the bay area and I couldn't put her in a huge daycare with tons of dogs. Shawna operates from her home and at most has 10 dogs. She only accepts small dogs and her pack really helps those who are not used to being in a group, socialize and just come out of their shell. Shawna set up a meet and greet at no cost so that we could see her home and get to see how the other dogs were. Jaden fit right in and felt comfortable. Shawna is very responsive to calls and texts. I left a message for her and it was pretty much inaudible because of the wind on my end but she tracked me down and called me back. Shawna is the most awesome dog sitter! She is sweet, very accommodating, understands dogs, and her services are reasonably priced! We were so stressed & worried about leaving our baby for a week (& leaving him for the very first time!), especially with a minor injury to his leg, but after meeting Shawna, we were completely reassured that he was gonna be cared for in the right hands. Shawna is great with dogs. I'm very lucky to find her. I've been looking for a daycare that has an outdoor facility, so my Schnauzer is not indoor all day long. Her rate is reasonable, and her customer service is wonderful. She replies to email, phone calls, texts right away, I feel very comfortable leaving my dog in her care. She only allows small dogs, and she matches the dog's personalities before taking them. My dog learns good trades from the other dogs in the daycare, and if he picked up bad habits, Shawna is very good in correcting. My schnauzer is young, and still learning to socialize properly. This daycare provides him the opportunity to do it without any stress. He loves Shawna and the daycare. I can tell....because once he's in the daycare, he immediately in a playful mode and most of the time he forgot I was there, and never cries when I leave. read more

My dog is anti-social around other dogs. She is fine home alone but when left in the company of other dogs with no humans within a few feet of her, she panics. We had mixed feelings about leaving Kona with a pet-sitter who had 5 dogs of her own as well as some others. We left Kona at a kennel for a week once and we could tell from the doggy cam that she was unhappy being among all the other dogs with people showing up to check in only once every half hour. Shawna, however, is different. She manages the pack well, she is always among them and picks up quickly on each dog's personality so she knows how to bring them together best. We did 2 trial runs with Kona - a half day and a full one before a 4-day weekend. With each trial, Shawna gave us great feedback on how we can work Kona up to the longer stay. It was tougher on us to leave her for the long weekend but Shawna was awesome in reassuring us Kona would be fine. She was very responsive to emails while we were away. In her detailed replies, we could tell she really gave Kona much needed time and attention. Shawna even sent videos and pictures. Our normal in-home dog sitter retired, so we started looking for a new sitter six months before going on a family vacation. After calling around to several local pet boarding places, we came across Shawna's Pet Sitting (thanks Yelp!) We have two small, elderly dogs who love cuddling up and sleeping, so Shawna's Pet Sitting worked perfectly for us. I took the pups over for a quick visit beforehand, where they seemed to immediately feel at ease in Shawna's gorgeous backyard. They started running around and playing, and enjoyed sniffing around with Shawna's five other dogs. When the time came to drop my pups off for a week long stay, it was very quick and painless. Shawna fed them and took care of them all week, and from the photos it looked like they had a blast! I could tell my pups had a good time running around and sleeping in the sunshine all day, as they came home and rested for days! Mickey has slight separation anxiety as he is a rescue and gets very nervous and stressed in new environments. When I first contacted Shawna she was so easy to talk to and totally understood our needs for Mickey. We set up a meet and greet before we went on our vacation, and I instantly felt at ease with leaving Mickey with Shawna. When I picked up Mickey he was calm and seemed very well taken care of. I was able to text Shawna and check on Mickey at any time and she ALWAYS responded within minutes! I could tell Shawna gave Mickey tons of attention and made him feel at ease. I've never used a pet sitting/boarding service before so I took to yelp to find a good one in the area and I came across Shawna. I'm so happy that I did! We did a meet and greet at her house with our two small pomchi's. They're still pups at 5 months old, and haven't had much social interaction with other dogs so I was nervous they wouldn't get along. They did fine though, and Shawna was so welcoming and took us through the whole process and answered any of our questions. She took her time and didn't rush us into anything and by the end of the visit we were confident we'd found the right person to leave our pups with. We dropped them off a few days later on a Friday evening and it was hard because that was the first time they'd been away from us. :( But when Sunday evening came around we were so happy to see them jumping up to greet us at the door. :) I like that they get to be around and play with other dogs and they aren't locked up in a cage at any time. They are free to roam around and play in her backyard which is perfect for small dogs. They sleep with her on her bed, which is comforting to know because that's how we sleep with our dogs. :) Shawna is great, she cares about what she does and her prices are modest. read more
