After numerous visits they were unable to get the temporaries to fit well enough to enable him to eat. ( which is the reason he went). The dentist suggested they go ahead and make the permanent dentures. He wasn't willing to trust they would fit. It took them 9 times to deaden me before pulling a tooth that just needed a cap. Said they were trying to save me money if that tooth later failed. But pulling that lower tooth which did not hurt, was not infected, was not loose, and only needed a crown, they left me with no way to chew As my upper tooth had no tooth to meet. So we have spent a lot of money and still can't can't chew. We are retired and it was all a lot of pain with no results. Don't go here. I miss Dr. Stobbe.

DO NOT recommend them at all.

My old dentist in the city found a big cavity that frankly they missed. They showed me the x-ray and I couldn't see what they were talking about. Now the problem was going to require a root canal. I don't usually get nervous at the dentist, but I was. An ongoing issue with my old dentist was that it was too far away. Even if I went with my old dentist, the trip would be an hour drive both ways - possibly multiple trips. I needed to find someone closer. So, I found a new dentist here in Shawnee. These folks took very good care of me. I didn't feel rushed. The equipment is excellent. Their x-ray showed the problem clearly - even with my untrained eyes. The decay was close to the nerve. I didn't want a root canal if at possible. They respected that choice. After it became clear to me that this is what needed to happen, they got me in more quickly than I expected. The estimate was accurate. The equipment was modern. They don't use paper forms; just taps and swipes - very cool. This is where I am taking my family. I'm setting up an appointment today for cleanings.

I went in there to get dentures and they were very upfront about the cost and very accommodating. They did such an amazing job on my ventures that everybody thinks that they're real I would recommend this establishment to anybody who is wanting Natural looking dentures that look like real teeth. I get compliments all the time on them and people think they're real so head yourself down there if you want a beautiful smile and they have a five-year warranty on their dentures! They do amazing work

I have been trying to get in to Aspen Dental as a new patient since around the beginning of May. I…read morealso told them when I was scheduling the appointment one of my teeth had cracked and was hurting. My husband uses them so I was confident that they took our dental insurance. The first 3 appointments were rescheduled the morning of the appointment for the following week, with the reason being they were short staffed. The last appointment they called to reschedule yet again, the morning of the appointment, with the reason, again, they were short staffed. By now the tooth had broken and I related this information to the receptionist. She rescheduled me for 2 weeks out which was this morning. (I have been trying to find another dentist by now, but the insurance we have makes it difficult.) I got a call from Aspen Dental Friday to confirm my appointment, that there were no issues, I would be seen as scheduled, they just needed to go over details to make sure we were all on the same page. I get there this morning only to be told that unfortunately, they don't take our insurance after all, sorry. I have extreme dental anxiety, so just getting myself to the dentist is a difficult experience. They promised the moon and stars when I was making the appointment, but that was as far as it all went. I will tell everyone that if you are looking for a new dentist to look everywhere else instead of Aspen Dental on Kickapoo in Shawnee.

I was prescribed medication that was never sent to my pharmacy. Prior to my appointment, I was informed that I would be receiving oral sedation due to my documented dental anxiety, which was discussed during my initial consultation. However, when I arrived for my procedure, I was told there was no order for oral sedation in my chart. After this oversight, I was encouraged to proceed with nitrous oxide instead. Shortly afterward, the dentist himself stated that nitrous oxide would not be sufficient given the severity of my anxiety--something that had already been established at my first appointment and was the original reason oral sedation had been recommended. Rather than offering a solution or taking responsibility for the error, the interaction became uncomfortable, and I was ultimately told that I should find another dentist. As a result, I left without receiving treatment, without the antibiotics I had been prescribed, and without any plan to address my dental infection. I understand that mistakes can happen, but the lack of communication, preparation, and willingness to resolve the situation was extremely disappointing. As a patient seeking treatment for a painful dental issue, I expected a higher standard of care and professionalism.

The end of May I felt a pop and thought my back molar had gotten out of its socket, so I went to my new dentist in the middle of June. When he looked in my mouth he stated that I had, in fact lost my crown. He asked when I had gotten it and I told him last November. He said go back to where I got the crown. I went to Summer Dental and the dentist there asked me what happened to the crown. I told him I don't know . My dentist said I may have swallowed it. The Summer dental dentist said I thought I was your dentist. I said you were but you don't take my new insurance. Things seemed to go downhill from there. He walked off I didn't know if I was done or if he was going to have a new mold made. Then one of the front ladies came and asked me if I had insurance. I told her yes but y'all are not in network. They still tried to charge my insurance and wanted to charge me for the crown. My mom has had crowns that are 40 years old. Crowns do not come off less than a year of having one put on. So needless to say it is July and I still don't have a crown on that tooth. If you need crowns do not go there. They obviously do not know what they're doing and do shawty work. Up until the crown I was happy with them. I would not recommend them for Crowns.
