I made an appointment at Americas Best in Springfield, and this was the best experience I have ever. The store was clean, well kept, and everyone was super nice. Roberta and Tammy were so kind with helping me, and accommodated me with my wheelchair. The Optometrist was also great. He doubled checked my vision, and made sure my eye were healthy. He was very thorough, but also quick! There was a pair of glasses I wanted that I had bought years ago, and Roberta called a store in Arizona to get me the last pair in the country! She went above and beyond for me. Tammy could relate to what to what I was going through, and treated me like family. Thank you all for being so kind, and understanding my situation. We switched insurance companies and I found this place on the insurance website. I called and told…read morethem my glasses broke and I need to make an appointment, I asked how much an exam would be and they told me $80. They also told me my insurance would cover my glasses. I get there and they start doing way more to me than I had asked, they did a contact exam, dilated my eyes and turned them yellow, all I asked for was a simple eye exam! When it came time to pay, they charged me almost $400!! I was told $80!! I eventually went back and got a refund for my glasses and canceled the order, but I was still out the $165 they charged me for a contact exam. I won't ever be back, I'll start the search for a new eye doctor all over.
