DEBORAH is so friendly and helpful...I've sent several of my family and friends their way. It hard for me to find the perfect fit on glasses because I have a small face with close set eyes and need a bifocal. I used to often get larger children's frames but cant do that with bifocal. Anyway I explained that to Deborah and she helped pull of petite frames and I trust her opinion. If I try on several shes very honest and helpful. We have similar tastes in frames. I had 1 day to spend 1000 in flex spending as I'm quitting my current job. Another establishment wouldnt even let me in the door ... but Shawnee was very helpful and bought 2 pairs of glasses and a cool pair of sunglasses. I had let the office know ahead of time that it had been 3 years since my last exam and I simply needed a prescription for glasses as I was going to see my Ophthalmologist for a more comprehensive exam, since I have a progressing cataract. He paid zero attention to me and was raving about women who whine about having to work after childbirth or some crazy thing, then proceeded into some negative jargon about Alcon and other unrelated rantings like people falling in his floor crying to have their cataracts removed, that had absolutely nothing to do with my exam. I told him my distance vision had changed and rightly so with the developing cataract and having been 4 years since my last exam. He proceeded to absolutely fly through the different charts and didn't give me even a split second to consider whether the lenses were making the vision better or worse!!! It was a nightmare. It was so stressful! Then when I was taking a few seconds to decide, he said come on let's do scans!!! WTH!! I told him I just wanted a prescription and I was having comprehensive care with my Ophthalmologist! He clearly wanted to charge for a scan and when I refused and reiterated my Ophthalmologist would be following me and doing any appropriate tests, he was indignant and snarky responding " Fine! We'll just get you seeing as good as we can right now!". Seriously?? That's what the purpose of an eye exam is!! The exam was so rushed (visual acuity) there was no way it was optimal for my prescription!! My Ophthalmologist provided me with a full comprehensive exam and has recommended my cataract removal which of course improves vision dramatically. He also did a type of lense cleaning for my other eye that had a very old (cloudy) lense from a cataract surgery 15 years ago. Bierly was completely dismissive, did not give me a minute to inform him of my history (which would have explained a lot and been very helpful) and I could not get a word in edgewise!!! He was condescending and made me feel like I had hopeless vision or some crazy thing!! And BTW, other than astigmatism and cataract, which has worsened, my vision is not that bad at all for my age. This guy should be questioned by the licensing board. Beware.

The employees are very helpful and friendly. Plus the parking is easier. We decided to eat lunch first before we shopped. 2 slices of pepperoni pizza, hotdog and drink for only $5.84? My gosh, that is dirt cheap and delicious. The aisles are categorized. The shelves are stocked and organized. I love shopping the refrigerated and frozen section. That's where we get in trouble. Also their wine selection is also solid. I love that each section has samples you can try. If I like it, I'll buy the product. We walked around and ended up spending more than we anticipated. I also applied for the Visa Costco credit card which has a lot of perks and cash back. I can now say that I've joined the Costco bandwagon.

When she didn't like the lenses based on another doctor's Rx, they reexamined her and only charged her $22 for the refraction and then they didn't charge her extra for the new lenses. She is physically fragile and they were so considerate of her needs. They even helped her to our car.

When I mentioned that no one had informed me of a separate contact fitting fee. I was basically told too bad. Originally, I was told that I was informed when I checked in, but that did not happen. Even the gentleman who checked me in said he assumed I should know about it and that anyone with common sense would realize it. so in addition to feeling ripped off, I am highly offended that the basically told me I had no common sense.
