The owner was very pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The massage therapists paid attention to our needs for the therapeutic massages. The ladies that worked with me and my daughter were Olivia and Stephanie. They were very good with their technique. I never have had a stone massage before so booked myself one as well as a pedicure. The place itself is what a spa should be like; relaxing, inviting, and peaceful. The host was nice and brought me to the relaxing room (waiting room) which set the mood. I talked to a lady who goes weekly and commented on how I was smiling beforehand. She knew I was in for a treat. Patricia was my therapist for the afternoon, she did an absolutely terrific job explaining what was going to be done before and making sure I was doing well during the treatment. A stone massage is probably something I will not get again but certainly would get a typical massage from her. Having constant contact is something we both agreed I could have used which you do not get with a stone massage. If you never had one before it is basically hot stones being rubbed on you. Not what the pictures portray with them sitting on your back. Feels good but nothing at this point beats a good old fashioned massage. Anna took care of my feet with the cloud nine pedicure. She gave my feet the rub down they needed and they feel great! The ladies in the room and I had good conversations going on. Found out the lady next to me also acts so we exchanged information. All in all my body feels good post treatment. Looking forward to snuggling in bed and getting a good night of rest now. And thank you Kim? for the recommendation to go to Frankies for dinner

Originally, I sought out La Tua Bella due to (1) prices and (2) reviews. When I started going, every 8 weeks religiously 3+ years ago, I could get a haircut, root touch-up & highlights, for around $200 plus tip (and I always tipped $100+ in cash). By my last appointment, that price had snuck up to nearly $375 (plus tip). At that point, I could have the same services, completed at the same skill level, cheaper and without the 3 hour round-trip drive. In fact, my new salon is 10 minutes from my home. At my last appointment, I asked if older clients could be grandfathered-in on prices a bit and was told no. I was also told by a stylist that I wasn't the only one experiencing the very sudden and severe sticker shock, despite being assured that prices "have only gone up 10%." I can assure you, at least when I got up to the register, the prices basically doubled for the same services. Again, I'm extremely sad to have left this salon after 3+ faithful years. I just can't justify the expense, especially if the salon is unwilling to negotiate with existing clients.

From the minute I walked in, Sara treated me like royalty. She listened to what I wanted, as I did not want too much taken off my length. She executed the most flattering haircut for me, especially given my super fine hair at the moment. Thank you ever so much, Sara, and I can't wait to book with you again next time we're back in Rhinebeck.

    So here's my story. I'm a wedding planner and so I never leave bad reviews, this is tough for me to…read morewrite. I hired Danielle Pierce to do my hair and makeup for my big day, Oct 7 2023. I signed a contract for hair and makeup and she took my card information on a contract via email, illegally hooked it up to a cash app account, and drained my account. I emailed my contract and card information over in a PDF attachment to her, and then she emailed back and asked if I have cash app. I said I didn't, and the next day my bank alerted a transaction that said Cash App Evan Bonzo for $500 and since that was her minimum and I had told her I'd pay it in full I thought that's what it was. It seemed like a weird way to do it, since I don't even have cash app, but she sent me a receipt two days later and said her accountant had taken care of it, so I thought -- that's it, paid. Then more money came out from the same thing a week later ($400), cash app under the same name. So, I said something to her about it and asked her if it was her. She said it was not, and she didn't recognize the name, she said she has been hacked too and I should talk to my bank. When I explained that I do not see the $500 she said she pulled and sent me a receipt for she responded that she actually never received my deposit after all. When I said I wanted her accountants information so that I could talk to the person that was supposed to have charged my card because I'm filing fraudulent charges and wanted more information, she did not respond to that question. She simply keeps letting me know that I can mail a check, since she now claims she never got my deposit. When I look her up her website has been taken down, and all of the most recent reviews are how people never got their deposits back. Not to mention, her business isn't listed on the Better Business Bureau website, even as an unaccredited business... so basically, it's all a sham. All in all, horrible experience and I wouldn't recommend her to anyone unless you want to lose your money and never get it back. I've filed a police report, and taken the proper steps with bank to stop the card -- but do not trust this woman!

I first contacted Danielle on December 5th regarding Hair & Makeup services for my June 8th wedding. Was looking to book 14 services for 10 people (which equaled over $1300 in services). Between Dec 5th and January 31st, we emailed regarding these services- many times I needed to email her a second time to follow up to an email she did not respond to, or to ask her to send the contract that she kept saying she would send, but did not. Despite this, and seeing one other bad review where the person reported she was a bad communicator, I decided to move forward with booking Danielle- I wasn't thrilled with many other options in the area. On January 31st I scanned in my contract, which had my CC info on it, and asked her if she needed me to send a hard copy as well. She said I did not, confirmed receipt of my contract and we were all good. Fast forward to March 7th, when I received an email from Danielle asking that "should she still have my date available, if I would like to book with her"..... ummmmm WHAT?! So, I replied (5 minutes after she sent the email) and stated that I had already booked and for her to confirm this was true. I figured "maybe its an oversight" and then also forwarded the email chain where I had sent my contract and she had confirmed receipt. Friday morning, I had still heard nothing, so I found her phone number and called and then texted her. I knew it was a cell phone because the voicemail gave me the same message that my voicemail gives. Friday afternoon, I still had not heard, so i sent yet another email- expressing my dissatisfaction and requesting a response by end of business day, at least just letting me know that she had received my emails and was looking into it. Here we are, 4 days later, and I have yet to hear a single word from Danielle. Where does this leave me? Less than 3 months out from a wedding where I need 14 services done, have contacted numerous hair/makeup girls in the area, for them to all tell me they are already booked. Is this surprising? NO. This is why I started looking in December. Despite this, even if Danielle was to contact me now, I would NOT move forward with her- I do not trust that she would show on my wedding day. I don't think there are really enough words to express the level of disrespect, unprofessionalism and lack of care for others that Danielle has shown during this process and most specifically, throughout the last 4 days. EVEN if there was a crisis happening in your life- as a business owner, you find 2 minutes within a 4 day span to respond to an email, phone call or text. If someone cannot keep up with their correspondence with clients, nor keep things organized, I don't believe working in the wedding business is for them. This day is so HUGELY important to so many, and to have to deal with this throughout the process is so disappointing. I would recommend looking elsewhere for your hair/makeup wedding day services. Best part of all of this? In Danielle's contract, she requires a 20% tip from each and every person. Now, this tip amount is pretty standard and usually what I would tip a hair/makeup girl in a normal situation where I was happy with the service (including showing up on time, doing a good job, being professional etc.).... so when I saw it included in my total price, I didn't bat an eye- even though I received many contracts from other hair/makeup artists where this tip was NOT included. Looking back, I realize she likely includes this because she wants to guarantee herself a tip despite less than professional business standards. **update: 2 hours after posting this review, I received two emails and one text from Danielle stating she was sick and had not even glanced at her phone in 4 days. Somehow.... I found it very hard to believe, especially considering I replied to the email she sent me on Thursday within 5 minutes. Also, it seemed odd that she was all better as soon as I posted the reviews. She offered to move forward with the services, but I chose to find another artist. She may be fantastic at hair & makeup, so I don't want to discount that, but there are MANY things that go into being a business owner, and if you are going to run one- you need to take responsibility for those things as well.
