I had a pedicure & manicure from Amber and couldn't have been more disappointed. The reservationist failed to communicate our agreement for a "mini-pedi" so I got the bargain of only paying $10 over our agreed upon price. In spite of the pedi going first, leaving what I thought would be ample drying time, one toe was destroyed before I reached home, presumably from the repeated touching up which left a wealth of polish. She oiled my cuticles, but failed to remove all the oil with her alcohol swab, so the manicure lasted less than two days before the edges started peeling. No apologies from the management who says their "girls" are all independent. Next time I'll save my $90, buy a bottle of nice wine and do a far more professional job myself without the intrusive fluorescent lights, noise, and school-girl "independent agents." read more

Never have a felt more at ease or taken care of at a salon, other than by Amy Bonfigli!!! Not only does she give AMAZING facials (puts me to sleep EVERYTIME!) but her waxing skills are incredible! I have been coming to get my haircut by Andrea S. for a couple years now. She won me over from my previous hairstylist who was also great but was raising her prices yet again. I met Andrea through a mutual friend and decided to give her a try and the rest is history. Andrea has always been very cheerful, relaxed, friendly and so easigoing with any changes I ever ask for with my haircuts. She always asks me what I would like her to do, never making any assumptions and makes the whole experience enjoyable as she is also a great conversationalist. Sammy's review saying she was rude is just not possible, even when I'm repeateadly late time and again trying to arrive after work subject to rush-hour traffic, she never loses her calm and always greets me with a hug and friendly smile. I highly recommend you give Andrea a try- I can't speak for the other stylists but with Andrea, I don't need to try anyone else. read more

Made an appointment with an old friend of mine back in Highschool, her name is Dani and I sent her a picture of how I wanted my hair. So I came in yesterday and while she was doing my hair we caught up on so many things! Feels good to have a good conversation while she does my hair at the same time. After about two hours of her finishing up my peekaboos and deep condition... Came out amazing! Absolutely love it and definitely recommend her!! MUCH better than the picture I showed her. I was recommended by a friend because her stylist couldn't get me in and she use to work. I was not impressed! It was very noisy and overly crowded. I had to wait because nobody seemed to know who I was booked with. Even though I called a week in advance. Not to mention the girls that worked there spent more time talking to each other about their up coming events then they did to me or any of the other clients! Won't be going back! Not only did I get a million and one different soothing cremes put on my face, she talked me through proper skin care in a calming and educational manner. I've had problem skin for years, and Amy made my skin look great - reduced discoloration, smoother lines, and blemish control. I was horrified when I came out of Shear Design, having expected a professional cut and 2 highlights. I said very clearly," NO GOLD color, pinkie-thin highlights, one on each side of my face, and longer bangs! I received heavy gold highlights about 1-2 inches wide, with a big blob of gold on the left side, and short bangs. Andrea had no clue what she was doing. I could almost see the workings in her head when I told her NO GOLD! Like she knew better, that I'd love the "gold," she would sneak in, and then could not get out after 2 DAYS of stressful trying! It was horrid! My scapl was so red and I'd had a panic attack from the first day until the entire next day when I left. Finally, a lady named Nancy, came to rescue her and me. She suggested trying a darker color to cover the gold that had lifted so heavily. I'd mentioned that to her as well! To put in the closest (low-light color) you can get to my natural color. But I was ignored for 2 days of extremely stressful work/hardship. Nancy's idea worked/surficed. It was an experience that took a few years off my life! Hair is so important to a woman! You don't realize it until its almost taken away! I would not recommend this place to anyone!!! If you do have to go there, ask for Nancy! Andrea's attitude was, " I'll keep trying to fix whatever I mess up on you!" It was NOT a SPA experience!!! I was in HELL for those 2 days! read more
