This review is for Laura! I have curly hair and I usually style it that way, so I really appreciate that Laura listens to how I style it and cuts it in a way to suit my natural curls. She's one of the few stylists that hand paints balayage pieces, I really think it makes my curls pop and looks very dimensional. Its also super low maintenance so I usually see her once to twice a year. I love that! The space at The Reverie is so beautiful and cozy, you feel right at home there and they're right off of Silverado Trail so it's a very convenient location and easy to find. Reverie Salon is comfy, warm and welcoming! Laura is THE best! I feel very understood when I get in the chair, she listens and gives me realistic expectations. If you have long, thick hair do NOT go to Laura. She will do what she wants despite asking you. I should have known by how she talked over me before I could finish my sentences. I went into this appointment with high hopes and left with one of the worst haircuts of my life. We should leave a salon feeling happy and confident, not in tears. I wish it stopped at just Laura, but upon reaching put within the next hour of leaving my appointment I did not hear back until several days later. The salon receptionist pretended to be the manager/director when I asked to speak to the owner. The owner then messaged me on a seperate number saying that her RECEPTIONIST handled it poorly, but never offered a resolution or response after my reply. She clearly did not care to correct this situation. I had a consultation prior to this appointment to hopefully avoid this, but Laura swore she was "better" than most stylists and could take it on. This is not a personal challenge for your ego, it's someone's actual appearance you are messing with. Laura kept saying "you have the thickest hair I have ever done" and proceeded to butcher my hair. If they say that, run. She also took a "before" picture and did't take an after which says everything about how she felt about my cut. She asked me how I liked it and I very clearly showed shock on my face where my only response was "wow, it's really short" and quickly ushered me out the door. She does not care about how you feel about your cut. She also also did not acknoweledge my comment at the end saying "this will take time to get used to" which was purely out of shock and before I really saw what she did. I had to pull over because I could not stop crying. Good luck reaching them because they don't pick up the phone and when they finally respond, they go dark. I could not fathom letting a client walk out of your salon with sloppy unstyled hair to add. She knew how much hair I had from our consultation and kept saying she could handle it. My bun is the smallest it has ever been in my life and it's all that I have done with my hair since the minute I walked out of the salon. Usually I'm eager to show my freshly cut hair off, I could not be more embarassed. I'm not opposed to big cuts, but with trusted stylists. After I get to know a stylists skills through several visits I can commit-for this exact reason! This is the work she is proud of and ruining a clients mental health. I never asked for my hair to be chopped off and thinned with extreme layers. I specfically said NO when asked if I wanted thinning. I let my hair dry naturally and it looks even worse. The choppy layers look terrible. read more

Everyone needs to support this local business simply for the quality of the human being who owns it - not to mention she's insanely talented and great at what she does. Seanna, the owner, took time on her off day, Sunday, to give my wife a blow out and shampoo service because my wife is fighting cancer and due to recent surgery, can't do her hair. She invited her to come in when the salon wasn't even open - then wouldn't even take $$ for it. Today was our son's 9th birthday party and it's one of the last days my wife will have her hair before chemotherapy takes it. The picture I've attached is 10 hours after Seanna did her hair and she looks like she just walked out of the salon. Sorry for the long review but do anything and everything you can to support Seanna and The Reverie. She deserves Napa's support. read more

Review is for Laura (even though I love everyone here) : I've been seeing Laura for the last couple of years and she is absolutely wonderful! I'm a long hair girlie who comes in for tone, cut, and weft extensions, and she always does such a wonderful job. Even if I have minor requests (like to go darker), she will always make sure I am taken care of. Salon is super cute, everyone is really friendly, and pricing is standard of a good salon. Extensions can add up (they buy very high quality strands, so don't expect anything cheap here), but if you take good care of them, they will last you a long time and are totally worth the price. Love this salon so much! Everyone is so sweet and wonderful and it's really cute inside. Laura is the absolute best! I was looking for a new stylist for my balayage and highlights after moving to Napa, and It's always a little scary finding a new stylist but Laura has been amazing! From the first time I sat in her chair, I felt at ease and completely trusted her. I have dark hair and she does a great job of blending my color, balayage and lighter highlights and making it look as natural as possible. Seanna (and her beautiful salon) are such a great addition to Napa. She took me in last minute, on her off time, to give me a fabulous blowout for my son's birthday party.
