I had an appt w/ Sara at 1:30 on 12/22, (root lift). Sara emld me on Mon.12/18 telling me she had…read moreto reschedule due to a family emergency. My appt., which was previously scheduled (6 wks), was also going to include a discussion regarding the debacle and unbelievable damage/breakage she did to my hair, on top of it looking like the root lift didn't even take, on my last appt.,11/8. The foils were fine, the root lift not so much. By the way, the 11/8 appt was made so Sara could correct the $hitty job she did on the 11/2 appt. (two f-up's),
There was no hesitation by Sara to correct the 11/2 appt. I guess the correction on 11/8, to a full foil w/ a full root lift (that did not take) is to re-foiling the whole head with bleach w/ no root lift at all. (obviously I go blonde) I know, I hear the gasps. I, who is in no way close to a hairdresser, even asked if she felt that was the appropriate correction. She said yes.
When she cancelled my appt. on 12/22, she said she would call after the holidays to reschedule. I emld her back asking if I can reschedule now instead of waiting until after the holidays. (keep in mind, everyone I know said DO NOT GO BACK TO HER).
She replied no, she didn't know what her schedule was going to be until after the holidays. I emld her back, apologized for her "family emergency" but said, that sucks, seems a little fishy. I also told her she needed to see what she had done to my hair. I have had no response from Sara since Dec.18. Today is Jan. 4th.
I have been going to Sara for years. Recommend her to people all the time. Never had an issue. I have or should say had long hair, all one length. The breakage that has occurred since she "double bleached" me is unfathomable. EVERY strand of my hair has been affected. I can no longer wear my hair up, which I normally do, because of the additional breakage that happens when using a brush. Using a brush would render me with a pixie cut.
I have spent hundreds of dollars on product trying to control the breakage and help with the ends that are completely dry and void of any moisture whatsoever. I have multiple pictures to prove it. Olaplex, Oribe, you name it, I've tried it. Nothing has worked.
To leave me high and dry, no pun intended, 3 days before Christmas (in the hopes something/anything could have been done) and not one ounce of responsibility taken for this second screw up is shocking to me.
I am sorry Sara for this post. I have never posted a complaint publicly like this. But your actions or lack thereof are completely uncalled for never mind completely unprofessional. If I had to guess, I bet you ANY other hairdresser that did this would make every effort to correct it. Not ignore the issue.
It's no secret to me and more than likely any of your other clients, that you are throwing your hat into the Real Estate Market. Maybe you cannot juggle two careers at once. At least to me, it seems this way. I don't know but, I think Basic Hairdressing 101 says: DO NOT REBLEACH SOMEONES HAIR RIGHT AFTER HAVING IT BLEACHED.
We used to be on great terms. No issues at all. I'm guessing after this review, not so much. I will no longer be your client. I originally posted this on Sara's House of Style page as a courtesy. However, this does not mean I won't re-post it somewhere else if I felt the need. Due to your lack of response, here we are. This is all on you Sara. By the way, my post was deleted from her Facebook page. I reposted it and it was deleted again. So, instead of contacting me to resolve this, you deleted my post.
One more little tidbit. The weekend after my cancelled appt. (12/22) I went on the salons Facebook pg. To my surprise, there was a picture of a clients hair in Sara's salon that was posted @ 1:45PM on 12/22. MY APPOINTMENT WAS ON 12/22 @ 1:30PM. Was the family emergency a family member who needed her hair done before Christmas? So, Sara has avoided the issue, hasn't offered any solution and lied to me regarding her "family emergency".
It absolutely boggles my mind that she has chosen to ignore the issue and not contact me to correct it.
You're an a$$hole Sara.
P.S. New Years Resolution
Don't post a picture of a client's hair style whose appointment was made possible because you called the client who actually had the appointment and told them you had to cancel due to a family emergency. Whoops
