The studs were not nailed plum, so I had to cut the nails off and re-nail. The rough opening was not wide enough to properly shim the door. I asked for tarpaper to be installed before the roof shingles. The tarpaper was not put on and the roof leaked. The drip edge did not overlap the plywood so it leaked in between. I waited two Saturdays as they promised to re-roof the shed, but they didn't show up. After correspondence with the son, because the owner would not respond, they did provide the shingles, a shorter ridge vent than was already there, about 2 dozen nails, and drip edge for me to do the job. I was promised $150.00 for my labor, however, that was never received. This was a very unpleasant and exhausting experience, not to mention overpriced!

The folks at Oak Tree Sheds and Gazebos came through with exactly what we needed. The most impressive part of the transaction was the person who actually delivered the structure. The opening between our driveway gates (once removed) is 10 feet two inches. The structure is 12x10. It took over two hours to move the building from the truck to the location where the structure needed to go. Fantastic attention to detail, patience and tenacity. This gentleman was amazing. The company advertises "built by the Amish", but I'm not sure if that is intended to be a warning or an enticement? The quality of the structure is a bit disappointing. Several roof joists were split/cracked and had to be repaired, and it is obvious from the way the roof is constructed; smaller sheds are adapted to size by adding multiple roof truss on either side of what was a smaller shed without a center ridge support. The truss is attached to the top of the base structure only. Several nails used for that purpose were bent over, or not attached to anything, when pigeon-towing into the structure. The windows were not secured well, you could see light coming through the side of the window and the structure and they had to be caulked as they leaked water when it rained. Overall not what I consider to be quality construction for the nearly six-grand we spent.

The prep team came at least 3 times to ensure things would go well as I had a difficult property to navigate including bamboo, steps, slate and a tight space to get the shed into. The owner Scott even came to the site to verify everything and ensure the right amount of wood and rocks were delivered. My yard slopes down, and Matt said he felt they should add a second row of wood to ensure no water running into the shed which also included all the extra rocks to fill the space. This was done without complaint or extra charge. They delivered the day they promised. Matt and Chris were AWESOME throughout the entire process and assisted the mule driver get my shed down the hill to where it would be installed. The shed itself is amazing! Dennis of American Shed Builders showed up when he said he would, and was knowledgeable and accommodating. (He said that his guys would take the minimal stuff out of my existing shed before they knocked it down, and then put it all back in the new shed. And that's exactly what they did.) The pricing was transparent; he brought a price list and color charts with him that he left with me, and based on my existing shed he recommended one of the models in an appropriate size. On the day the new she was to be installed, his guys showed up as promised. They emptied out my existing shed, took it down (and took away the shed remnants for recycling), put up the new shed, put on its siding, and painted the doors the color I had chosen. They showed me how the doors and ramp worked, and were out of here a little more than four hours after they arrived. I am glad I chose American Shed Builders, and when I look out my window, I'm so glad to see my new shed instead of the rusting hulk that it replaced.

I ordered 3/8 shore gravel in the summer of 2023 and had two separate loads delivered without…read moreproblem. Yesterday (July 9) I ordered another 2 tons to be delivered. The delivery was within an hour. I have the receipt stating 3/8 shore gravel. My husband came home and realized they delivered 5/8. Today (July 10) we went into the office and talked to this man (says he is not the owner). We explained to him their mistake. No big deal. He tells us he took us over to the rock pile yesterday to confirm. He did not. (This is where the gaslighting starts). I told him to come out to where they have it labeled in the front to show him exactly why he is wrong. First, he didn't want to look at it bc he knew he was wrong. Then he put the bag of 5/8 in with the 3/8 and told us this is a perfect match. The first picture is a bag of what they delivered us last year, which blends perfectly into their 3/8 display. The bottom bag is what was delivered yesterday which blends flawlessly into the 5/8 display. He did not offer to remedy the situation whatsoever and told us to leave. Even though the delivery guy was sitting there doing nothing, it all could have been fixed within an hour, AND I was going to order an extra ton because we will need more as there is no way they gave us two tons in the first place. I would not recommend dealing with this business. Record the entire purchase if you do. The guy pictured is a complete scammer.

I've been there to fill my pickup with stone and mulch used in my home landscape. The guys who…read morehelped me were friendly and attentive. Truthfully, I asked for a 1/2 load of stone (to protect my truck, I thought a full load would be too heavy) and the guy filled my bed anyway... I was worried about my suspension. Thankfully I live close by and didn't need to travel very far. Other than that, I found the prices for mulch and stone more than reasonable, and the staff was accommodating. Good job.
