Find another contractor, Paul is a crook! He has made a living off stealing money from his clients…read more He was supposed to build a pool in our backyard. After we gave our 5-figure deposit, prices started to change (pricing the project far out of our agreed upon budget) and Paul became very hard to get ahold of. We ultimately decided that we did not want to work with Paul. Since no work was scheduled, and no materials were ordered, we asked for a refund of our deposit (agreeing to pay the design fee). That was 2 months ago and still nothing... We have started legal proceedings. In our research we found that Paul has a history of ripping people off. He previously owned another Landscape company called Gerard Associates which went bankrupt due debts (amounting to over $300k) owed to clients and suppliers. He also claims to have won many awards on his website, which we have verified are also fabricated, such as the "Boston Flower Show" awards. Paul is a quintessential con artist. He has made a living ripping off honest, hard working people. I hope that this reviews spares others from the horrible experience my husband and I are going through.

Last I checked in May 2017 they confirmed he was using their logo without their permission. 3. Paul has not refunded us a five figure deposit when NO work has been complete except for a design. More than 30 days have passed since our request. Can you trust anyone with this kind of blatant misrepresentation? Check the facts before working with this person. Read the complaints on the BBB site as well, lots of other similar comments.

In August 2020, we hired KNK to do landscaping in our yard, replace a brick walkway, cut down some…read moresmall trees/bushes, and replace our wooden deck with Trex. The reason this review is two stars is that the landscaping and walkway came out lovely. Unfortunately, the deck began to fall apart by November 2020. Boards were hanging off the side, boards were cracking, boards on top of the deck were sinking, steps were wobbling. Contacting KnK was absolutely fruitless - I tried phone, email, even Facebook Messenger. I did get an email from someone claiming to be the Account Assistant Manager, who wanted to "make things right". When I did call him, he asked me what sort of estimate I wanted. When I explained I did not want an estimate, he mysteriously became impossible to contact. Several weeks after contacting them, someone came back to hit a few boards with a hammer. After contacting them again, several weeks passed when someone stopped by, and said he would take one board to measure and cut, and would replace the broken boards. He came while we were at work to replace the one board he took and left the rest. We ended up interviewing 3 different contractors to fix the mess that KnK made. All 3 of them told us it looked like something we tried to do ourselves. Even worse, when the Trex was removed as it had to be re-cut and replaced, our new contractor found rotted beams and Trex pieces holding up bricks and concrete blocks under the deck - so unsafe! I sent KnK a certified letter including pictures of the mess they made, asking them to replace the labor fee for the deck (it cost us 4 times that amount to actually fix the deck) and they simply ignored me. The BBB stated that they won't handle purchases over 1 year old so I was unable to leave a review there like I had hoped. Just hoping that this review saves someone else the headache. It's too bad as the landscaping and brick work turned out really nicely, but I can't recommend this company just due to their customer service.

It's the reason I've been asking them back every year. Other reviews have mentioned that they're not great at phone communication and follow-up, and I've also found this to be true. However, I've found them very responsive over email. So that's how I've been communicating with them for the past couple of years, and I've been happy. I recommend these guys for general landscaping, lawn maintenance, and clean-up work.

I didn't schedule a snowplow & I haven't been able to go to work since last week. No one was available until I tried Gary's tree and landscaping. Gary responded he would do what he can. The next day Gary came and cleared our driveway. We had more than a foot of snow and our driveway is long and has steep areas. Gary saved our month! I found Gary to be polite , professional, and he charged a very competitive rate. Highly recommended!!

I was in FL when the Halloween storm tore my trees apart. The cleanup was done, but over a dozen very tall 50'-70' trees were in disrepair. I called Gary as this is one of his specialties. He sent a two man crew and in a full day of climbing, most of the limbs were repaired in order to produce new growth in 2013. They still are a shadow of there former selves, but I am hopeful the expert pruning will help aid in their recovery. Gary is a very trustworthy and professional. I would have no problem recommending his company for any variety of landscaping services.

Tom is the most responsive contractor I have ever worked with and the speed in which this company installed a sizable paver stone patio, in a great design patter including wall was incredible. In two days my backyard was turned into an oasis of beauty and they were careful to level, put down the right material and cut each stone to specifications. They even suggested designs and added a wall. The patio is unbelievable and it was done quickly and with no mess. They even replanted grass and cleaned up the entire area. It looked like they never were there! I would highly recommend this service for their quality and communications and timeliness.
