If your peckish, Arabesque also has a wide selection of hot foods and milkshakes that would delight your tastebuds. It was a really chilled out vibe with calming music on in the background. There were lots of flavours available as were there food options. When I first heard the whispers about this place opening in Digbeth, I didn't really know what to…read moreexpect... Firstly, a lot of the promotion was done via Facebook (including inviting people to have a first look at the venue on the opening night) and then I saw a few Tweets pop up online... I had no idea whether it would be something truly amazing or somewhere that's high concept and unique for the city. I first spotted the photos on WowBrum and... Well, it looked WOW. I had to go and check it out for myself. The venue itself is pretty unassuming from the outside. It's essentially a repurposed warehouse and has the name of the venue on the side and the front. I spotted it when I was on my way to the Bond at first (as it's on Fazeley Street). The venue does offer parking, but is about a 10 minute walk from Moor Street Station. The inside of the venue is plush and sort of... otherworldly. It has a river (an Actual River) running around the venue, so there is a comforting sound of water wherever you are inside. It also has a "beach" area (with lovely cushions and low tables) and lots of table and chair spaces to sit and eat or enjoy a shisha. One thing to note is that this venue doesn't serve alcohol. If you wanted to have a party here, you could arrange something with the owners in advance - but it's not encouraged (although is allowed if you are booking a party or celebrating an event). Instead, the venue offers a full range of main meals, milkshakes, desserts and a large variety of shisha. Due to the venue being "open" (with areas being meshed, rather than a full on roof), you can smoke anywhere inside. The venue would be the perfect place to take friends, chill out and enjoy a dessert and a shisha. I would recommend this to people looking for somewhere new to try with a bit of Wow Factor. It's not an expensive venue either, so you could happily sit and chill for a few hours whilst enjoying some food and it would be relatively easy on the wallet. The service is good and they serve food and drinks (no alcohol). I had the mint tea which was tasty and piping hot. I thoroughly enjoyed it with my sons, my mates and my sons mates. It is clean with leather sofas and a plasma TV near enough every seating. I'd recommend this to anyone for a good night or day out.

However, sheesha joints have wriggled through the loopholes so there are a fair few in Birmingham. Hookahs is on the main road so it's hard to miss. It recently underwent renovation for an outdoor smoking area although indoor seating is provided. Like virtually all sheesha bars, they offer soft and hot drinks. It would be useful to have light snacks too because once you're there with friends you tend to get carried away and before you know it, your stomachs growling for grub. The decor focuses on comfort with hefty sofas that you tend to sink in. Given the nature of the business, the owners have offered discretion by erecting blinds at the windows to prevent wondering eyes to peer in. You almost feel rebellious for being there!
