After travelling 135 miles with my friends to Argeela, I would like to share my experience with you.
After hearing a lot of good reviews about the reputable Shisha lounge and restaurant, I was extremely excited to visit the place. Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on the stunning interior inside and the very unique concept of sand and floor seating to recreate a true Arab experience.
However, I hate to say that my experience didn't quite live up to the positive reviews. Infact, It was quite the contrary. On arrival, me and my friends were seated in your large seating area but were later told that this area was reserved so were moved to a booth. By 7pm all my friends had arrived at the lounge and it became apparent that we would all struggle to sit in the booth. So we asked if there was anywhere else to sit to 2 separate members of staff which both claimed that the booth area could fit upto 10 people. Now, the fact that you can only accommodate to 1 large seating area for large groups is fine but please don't insult my intelligence and tell me that the average 10 people can sit on a booth- unless of course you are talking about 10 size 0 people.
So by 7.10pm we had all placed our order for food. We were told by another member of your staff that as it is quiet the food will only take about 10 minutes.. If only.. We waited till 8pm for SOME of our food to be bought up. At this point your staff informed us that the 3 chargrilled chicken breast will take an additional 4 minutes. Half of us departed to another booth to make it easier to eat on this 'proclaimed table for 10'. The food that had arrived was fast becoming cold because as you are probably aware, the social etiquette is to eat with all not alone. We chased up 2 members of your staff after these 4 minutes, 1 of your staff appeared to walk to the back but not return back to us and the other went to back and came back to tell us our chicken had just been put on the grill. A HOUR AFTER PLACING THE ORDER..Did your staff have to go on a chicken chase to get a chicken before any cooking could take place? Anyways, she apologised and offered us a drink. Now as you can imagine after travelling 135 miles we weren't really after some fizzy pop, we wanted our food! At 8.15 our food had arrived (praise the Lord). Once again, I was disappointed to find that the hand cut chips were infact fries- why the false advertisement on your menus? The male staff who bought it out again apologised and offered drinks- I'm not quite sure how drinks console food, I'm failing to see the logic. We then had to ask 2 different members of staff for sauces before they reached to us- mid meal.
Having had a bitter taste of the experience so far, we still thought we would try out the Shisha. Our Shisha's arrived promptly, however after spending 30 minutes smoking the Shisha, a coal change was long overdue. It wasn't till after asking 3 different staff members that our coal was changed. After another half hour we gave up on chasing your staff and went to pay.
This is when we spoke to your management, we shared our experience to which he said he would remove our drinks from the order.
Customer satisfaction derives from customer service, which your establishment failed to provide. The whole experience left me deeply disheartened as I had travelled especially to Come your lounge. Whilst you do not have the opportunity to change my first hand experience, I hope you take my comments onboard to train your staff on how pivotal customer service is. read more
