For a school trip on June 3, I was there as a chaperone for my kids.. well later on in the day, there was this one lifeguard. not sure of her name but she wore glasses and had blonde hair, skinny and tall. This lifeguard is a monster! She should be fired. First off, she wasn't doing her job and said to the children "yo, stop splashing me, go move somewhere else" in a rude tone acting like getting wet isn't part of her job. Second there were kids almost drowning and she did nothing about it, instead she yelled at kids for sitting on the ledge of the pool and when my daughter responded with just an "okay", she flipped out and told her to get out of the pool for giving an attitude, then when my daughter and her friends were passing by, she called them fat acting like that won't have an impact on their self image.. how could a worker be like that? How horrible.. not only that but the place is dirty and infested with bugs, there were bugs flying all over and in the bathroom there were roaches.. they don't clean at all and the curtains were easy to see in.. I don't recommend going here for just that reason, but the other workers were nice, just not that bimbo lifeguard not doing her job..

Swimming fishing. And who could forget pavilion. They sell candy and ice cream. And floats for the lake. The lake is drained every winter and it's tested every couple days. It's a really weird location tho. Way at the back of the Walmart parking lot and none of the other piers are renovated. So your view is distant industrial harbor and homeless folks camped on the other piers. But this Pier 68 itself was peaceful and nice, with plenty of nearby parking. Another thing was because of the construction that was being done around the area, the fishing was hard. There was too many obstacles and structures in the water that my boyfriend got hooked and lost his line twice! They had a broken beaten down wired fence around the area of the pier which made me feel unsafe for kids who are playing around this area. It also made the water look really dirty from all the dirt and gravel from whatever they are building. Not a good fishing place but more like a nice relax picnic place for families to enjoy. We were never given a reason for the cancellation, and the email we received stated we wouldn't get a refund for 30 days--which is extremely unreasonable given that the cancellation was on the company's end, not ours. Refunds should be processed immediately in cases like this. To add to the confusion, when we called the office, we were told the yacht was still available to charter privately on the exact same date. That makes absolutely no sense. Why cancel the cruise but still offer the boat for private events? All in all, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. We were left scrambling for plans with a guest in town, and the lack of transparency and poor customer service make it hard to recommend this company to anyone

Last year, he was approached by the yacht about hosting the party on the boat for 2025. I legit have messages from my realtor a year ago being like OMG THE BEN FRANKLIN YACHT WANTS ME TO THROW MY PARTY THERE! Of course, he made it happen. Honestly one of the funnest best nights in recent memory. The owner and staff were absolutely fantastic through the event! The food was good - not amazing, but solid for a party on the water. We filled all 3 decks, there was a dj and dancing and nonstop fun! We had amazing skyline views during our stroll along the water. I definitely want to do one of the public cruises in the future because I had so much fun on this one!

Having run along the river thousands of times, the chance to see the city and the Schuylkill Banks from the actual river was really great. Jason led our tour- which departed from Walnut Street along the Schuylkill Banks and took us up to the Fairmount Waterworks (and back). We were provided with really nice kayaks, life vests and fascinating tidbits from Jason as he pointed out various points of interest along the way. Jason was really professional and provided a very helpful overview of kayaking to our group (which was comprised of first time AND experienced kayakers). Whether you're a visitor or a local who has seen the river a million times, I definitely recommend experiencing a kayak tour of the Hidden River!
