Great place for kids and 2020's season had no campers test positive for Covid due to their stringent rules on cleanliness and distancing.

As a current roller derby skater in LA, I needed to make myself skate to keep my endurance up. I entered the building and was immediately whisked back to my 9 year old self. Nothing had changed. (except, unfortunately, they painted over the clouds and rainbows that used to be on the walls!) The skate rentals were still there, (and possibly the same skates that i used) the concessions were still the same, and on a Friday night, the place was hopping with 8-13 year olds. The kids seemed to be having a blast. They were without their parents supervision and loving it. The music was still the same top 40's Q102 mix, and they offered backward skate, backlight skate, the Ghostbusters skate... I couldn't believe that the owner remembered me from when I took skating lessons two decades ago. Everyone was super friendly, and I felt fortunate to meet and talk with some of the employees there who remember and used to watch original roller derby! *Just a VERY IMPORTANT heads up for my derby sisters - if you're coming here to free skate, WEAR YOUR KNEEPADS. I was taken out by a 10 year old and tore my PCL. That was almost four months ago and I'm still recovering.

It turns out my worries were completely unfounded, as the entire staff at Camp College immediately put my mind at ease. Anthony, Christine, and Stacie were wonderful about making accommodations so that my son could participate alongside his neurotypical peers, and he even had a special "buddy counselor" who he absolutely loved! Both Science and Arts camps were exciting and engaging, with new projects and experiments being returned home daily. Camp College is truly a family, where each child is respected, included, and cherished. I cannot recommend this organization enough!

Great for date night, girls night out, family time or honestly anything!…read more I did the pottery date night class and it was so awesome! It starts out with a small cocktail hour (no alcohol, other beverages and finger foods) in the clay studio gift shop. You get some time to look some cool stuff on display and can purchase them too! The actual pottery making was around 90mins, 60mins on the wheel and about 30mins to glaze the piece. There is one main instructor and a few assistant instructors that walk around and help you out. You watch a demo first and then get hands on at making your own bowl! The instructors are really patient and if you mess up, they'll hand you another ball of clay. I screwed up many of my pieces and got super embarrassed but they'd joke and make it fun. You get to pick 2 pieces to keep out of all the ones you make during the 60mins. I ended up with 2 small succulent pots, super excited to put my plants in! The glazing is pretty simple. There are a handful of basic colors to choose from and you just paint them on. Afterwards the studio will fire the pieces and then ship then to an address you designate. We got ours a little earlier than 2weeks so it was a nice surprise! I would definitely go to another session again and may even commit to the longer semester classes...just need to free up time . If you're considering this, definitely do it!

Many of my friends are members here and face similar problems, but the Siegel JCC is still the most convenient option for them and don't have the same freedom that I have to switch gyms. The courts are often not open when the schedule says they are. Many times I have gotten kicked out of the gym several minutes before the next group is supposed to be scheduled. I have gotten hit by pickleball members with their paddles when walking across the court to the free side. The weightlifting area is often crowded, and I have been confronted multiple times while waiting in between sets that I have been "taking too long." I am very disappointed in the service I have gotten over my past few months' membership here.

We've taken several classes including the pickle ball clinic and all have been done well. The indoor pool always has lap lanes open. I'm loving that they have a steam, indoor hot tub, and sauna all in one area so you can move from one to another seamlessly. We have lately really been loving the outdoor pool. Such an upgrade and really has a neighborhood pool experience but is included in the gym price. Overall, we love it and will be members for many years to come!

When she was in her infant room, Ms. Christine was kind and patient. She engaged her both emotionally and physically. Im sure that my daughter reached all her milestones early because her teachers worked so hard with her. Now my daughter is in the toddler classroom and she is obsessed with Ms. Lidia and Ms. Danielle. She calls for them by name on the weekends. I feel so safe and comfortable knowing that these 2 women are taking care of my daughter. In addition to all the love and care she get, I am so beyond impressed with the menu my daughter I served everyday. She eats such a diverse menu of foods that I couldn't possible recreate in my house!

Throughout then, till now, we have been beyond satisfied with their organization, safety protocols (protests, covid, etc.), food selections/variety/nutrition (organic, etc.), communication (frequency, methods and accuracy) and most importantly the teachers. The people and systems that really hold everything together to give the opportunity to forster fun and learning. From Lowest Aged Classrooms - Ms. Victoria and Ms. Molly - both so kind, gentle and understanding, which at a younger age, really what kids need. They take note of important things like food intake, health, sign language, and even smaller (but life hack tips) items such as good sippy cups to use, etc. Ms. Monica and Ms. Destiny - they had our (first) son at a very challenging age and really were his first teachers at Goddard. They worked with him to achieve so many milestones. He loves them both dearly! They were upbeat, so dedicated and really got him out of his shell (and may I add out of many bad moods)! We can never thank them enough! Ms. Philena and Ms. Tiana - Both great teachers! Ms. Tiana is so sweet and caring. She keeps kids calm and speaks to them in such a way that they really open up to her. Mrs. Philena is also great, she speaks to the kids like little adults, and helps them to achieve milestones, such as staying dry after a nap, etc. She communicates (as she was the late night teacher) to the parents at pick up about the happenings of the day! Ms. O and Ms. Nina - Ms. O is a model teacher - as she must be for the age she teaches is when they start to get a little "smart"! She is firm and challenges them (holds them accountable) as well as relates to them on a friend level. Ms. Nina is so warm! She knows the unseen things such as if they may have to use the bathroom, or if they are in any type of "mood." She gets to know each kid and treats them as if they were her own. The administration really runs a tight ship - there is never a slip-up. Kellyanne, Yolanda, Sylvia and Emily they are all highly efficient whether it be getting the daily reports, communicating sicknesses/incidents, holidays, or crazy things that parents ask for like pictures of how big the chunks of food their kid are eating (guilty), or swiftly getting ....snacks or throw up off the floor (the sheer number of things that they handle I am sure I only know a small fraction). They basically are the neck to the (very heavy!) head. We could not be happier about the quality of teachers at the Goddard School to entrust them with the foundational years of our children.
