My friends got a few things and like I said, I made a pitstop and this was one of the more spacious and cleaner restrooms that I have ever seen from a public location. Everything was set up nice and there was extra towels and soaps, and everything required for whatever we would need them for in the restroom. As per the store, it was a good all-around general outdoorsy store meaning like hunting and fishing gear, and also things like food products that you might want and a few small clothing lines that weren't for hunting or fishing so it had a little bit of everything in it, we weren't in the store for a very long and I didn't see everything that was in it but I'm sure it would be a nice location to hit four the general public that has a hunting or fishing liking.

Long before the Turnpike became a way for the state to extract money from travelers to pay for continuous "improvements" and to fund other non-Turnpike related agencies and items, it was a super highway allowing fast, safe travel across the commonwealth. The Midway plazas were unique because they were across from one another and there's a tunnel that runs under the road that joins them; this tunnel has long been closed to the public. Anyway, if you have time, it's fun to look at the pictures that adorn this plaza and also to check out the items in the gigantic display case that celebrate the creation and history of this road.

Gas is competitively priced, but is still a high price relative to where I live. There is so much traffic through Breezewood! So many people visit Sheetz and you can barely get a gas pump there, so I like to avoid the crowd and stop at Sac's. No waiting for a gas pump here and the gas prices are usually the same. She was welcoming, warm, and friendly. She even welcomed the big snowflakes coming down during this Lake effect storm. She made my hubby a wonderful Italian sub sandwich with mayonnaise and Italian dressing. It was good and gone in a snap! Devoured! The menu was very extensive for such a tiny venue. Pizza, fries, subs, milkshakes, and more. Grant it that this same sweet lady was the orchestrator of this one man band. It was nice to see all the other patrons coming in after us were patient, understanding, and accommodating while she finished up our sub. I found a lot of cool snacks. And I feel in love with a thing called an ole school cornflake chewy! It's like a 1000 better than a rice crispy treat! Where have these been all my life!!! Having driven this road hundreds of times over the course of my life, I knew there was a gas station in this spot, but I'd never needed to stop. That said, I had the pleasant surprise of meeting "THEE Store" today, aptly named because there aren't really any other stores for miles. We stopped along the road (not much of a parking lot) and went inside. I didn't see a bathroom, so I asked the guy behind the counter and he said I could use the bathroom in the back. Keep in mind, this is a small country gas station, so the images that came to mind when offered a "bathroom in the back" were pretty gross. I couldn't have been more wrong - it was really nice and well kept. I say this because this was my reaction to Thee Store overall - I thought it would be dirty and unpleasant, but I couldn't have been more wrong. It was clean, the employee was very nice, and they had a lot of snacks and drinks (just like any convenience store you'd find in a more populated area). If you're ever driving along Route 522 and need a place for a break, THEE Store is a nice wayspot to stop!

The men's room consisted of two urinals and two stalls; you know it's bad when there's a line to drop a deuce in the men's room. The Ugly: *Allegedly there's employees to greet you inside the "Welcome" Center, but they were too busy chit-chatting in the back to be bothered. TLDR: Great place to stop, stretch, and ease one's burdens.

I measure this as being the halfway point for me and usually take that as an opportunity to take a break. But, alas, I wasn't able to make the stop...until recently. They finished their update to what is basically a rest stop and I have to say they did it justice. I hope that means they will be doing the same thing to the one on the outbound side of I-70. It is a no frills stop, but a good place to get out and stretch you legs. They offer vending machines, restrooms, informational materials (including state maps), pet area and outdoor seating if you wanted to eat your food you may have brought with you. Easy off and on to the Interstate. A good place to empty your head before you continue on with your travel.

I just come in for groceries, I don't know this cashier & it's completely unprofessional & unacceptable to be spoken to this way @4:15 on a Tuesday afternoon or at anytime on any day. This isn't a dive bar... or is it?! No alcoholic beverages are sold here. This is a community grocery store. Who trained this woman to be a cashier? I had dropped my card somewhere and when I was in the checkout line she asked if I needed help and I explained that I had lost my card. She called someone and they went and was able to find my card. I am so very grateful for her help and understanding. You definitely would not get this service from a computer or automated system. I will definitely be going to the Everett PA Weis Store and recommending them
