My buddy and I happen to stop by this locations as we traversed the state of PA through it's smaller roads. We were a bit tired, and needed some fuel. We walked in here, and found it to be one of the better Sheetz convenience stores. The place was clean, very well stocked, and run by friendly employees. The locals were friendly too. After making a pit stop (the restrooms were very clean and had a nice pine smell), we stocked up on more caffeine for the rest of the trip. This place definitely believes in service with a smile, and it made our long arduous trip a bit better. I don't think I will be crossing this part of PA again. But if I do, I won't think twice about stopping here.

Right at the entrance to the turnpike you have your choices of places to do so and of course when I saw that Sheetz was an option I headed there. I pulled in and heading to the pumps. Ample amount of pumps for fueling and ample amount of room to maneuver around the lot. Gas pricing is the norm for the area, especially since there are other stations nearby. Keeping the prices at the average or just a bit lower. I went inside as well. Before hitting the road I wanted to make sure I had a beverage and snack as it was going to be a while before I stopped and got some food. The typical setup on the inside allowed me to make my way about the store and get what I needed quickly. I utilized the facilities as well. Clean and up to standards. Making my way to the registers was a quick one as well. Employees were upbeat and ready to help. Best thing about this location is the location. When you want to exit you can go the one way which is a traffic signal. This traffic signal is one where it will take you to the entry to the turnpike. So fuel up, both your vehicle and yourself, and go.

I didn't have much time so I just grabbed a snack and a bottle of water and headed back. I'd be interested to come back here and try some of their fresh food and this place almost feels like going back in time in a good way. The sub sandwiches, the wings, the burgers, the chicken strips, the fries, the meatball sandwiches, ice cream, pizza, the list goes on. Not to mention so compact aswell, it doesn't waste time at all trying to be what it's not and delivers food quality surprisingly good for a damn gas station. She was welcoming, warm, and friendly. She even welcomed the big snowflakes coming down during this Lake effect storm. She made my hubby a wonderful Italian sub sandwich with mayonnaise and Italian dressing. It was good and gone in a snap! Devoured! The menu was very extensive for such a tiny venue. Pizza, fries, subs, milkshakes, and more. Grant it that this same sweet lady was the orchestrator of this one man band. It was nice to see all the other patrons coming in after us were patient, understanding, and accommodating while she finished up our sub. I found a lot of cool snacks. Having driven this road hundreds of times over the course of my life, I knew there was a gas station in this spot, but I'd never needed to stop. That said, I had the pleasant surprise of meeting "THEE Store" today, aptly named because there aren't really any other stores for miles. We stopped along the road (not much of a parking lot) and went inside. I didn't see a bathroom, so I asked the guy behind the counter and he said I could use the bathroom in the back. Keep in mind, this is a small country gas station, so the images that came to mind when offered a "bathroom in the back" were pretty gross. I couldn't have been more wrong - it was really nice and well kept. I say this because this was my reaction to Thee Store overall - I thought it would be dirty and unpleasant, but I couldn't have been more wrong. It was clean, the employee was very nice, and they had a lot of snacks and drinks (just like any convenience store you'd find in a more populated area). If you're ever driving along Route 522 and need a place for a break, THEE Store is a nice wayspot to stop!
