In the past I left a very negative review regarding the Sheetz in Mt Airy NC. They were just having a very bad day due to their help not showing up. I should not have left them with a bad review just because they were having one bad day. This Sheetz is actually very good, very clean and the staff is very friendly so I would like to retract my bad review from this Sheetz located in Mt. Airy, NC. and give them a 4 star review. Stopped here while driving thru for some fuel and shwings. Your standard Sheetz. The bathroom was a train wreck though - doesn't look like they clean it regularly or they hadn't done the day. Being off the highway it may get a lot of use and could be hard to keep up with. Wings weren't bad. Didn't try anything else. read more

This particular Sheetz consistently has trashed bathrooms - place not clean. We do not see this at the other Sheetz stations during our travels. read more

This is a pretty good Sheetz location. They have the cheap 88 gas which my car runs great on. It's a dollar less than regular unleaded. Also this location is pretty clean and the employees are very friendly. Visited November 25 2023 read more

Ordered a Breakfast Quesadilla with Chicken Sausage. It comes standard with scrambled eggs. Sour Cream on the side. I received a quesadilla with no eggs of any kind whatsoever, cold chicken sausage and sour cream that was liquid. Disgusting, horrible service. I've never eaten at Sheetz before, not my jam, but have heard it's delicious, so decided to try it. Horrible, and would never recommend it to anyone. read more

Due to its location right off 74 it's a busy station. I would guess that the vast majority of customers come from drive-by travelers. Understanding the demands a lot of traffic places on a location I wasn't surprised to find the outside just need a good cleaning to remove cigarette butts and small pieces of litter. A good power washing of the hardscape would make a tremendous difference in the appeal of this location. Some restocking of cups at the drink station was needed as well but not surprising at a busy store. We dropped in the a quick snack and I had the fried chicken sliders with mustard sauce. They were really good. My husband had a hot dog and they are consistently good at Sheetz locations. We left and were about 15 minutes down the road when I realized I had left my tote bag (which contained my purse) in the dining area. Of course I panicked! I grabbed my phone and found the number for the store as we headed back that direction. I explained my situation to the young man who answered the phone. He put me on hold and quickly went into the dining area to look for my bag. He returned to the phone and said it was not there. He could have just said, "gee, lady - sorry" and hung up the phone. Instead, he asked how long ago we were in the store and reviewed the security camera data. He saw us on the video but no one had been at the table since we left. He said, "let me go check again". This time he found the bag on the floor next to the chair as it had slipped off the back of the chair onto the floor. What a relief! I don't have to explain all the issues that come with losing your purse and everything In it. I'm SO grateful to that young man. I assume he was the manager on duty. I'm just sorry I don't recall his name because he deserves public acknowledgment for how much I appreciate him and his exceptional customer service. So, I don't give a flip about a hardscape that could use a good cleaning or drink cups that may be missing. I care about a business leader that will do everything he can to assist a customer in distress. read more

We love Sheets...have been to a few of them and they are always clean with great food! They have a variety of food and drinks made to order including the normal 'convenience' store items with a gas station. They all have had wonderful customer service but this Sheets in particular went above and beyond. The supervisor on staff was working at the front checkout and was the kindest person! We truly appreciate her kindness and would recommend any Sheets! read more

Every time I go to this store, I have a bad experience. The staff is awesome at getting food at good times and is hot, but there's 2 cashiers, 1 in particular that is ALWAYS a jerk. I don't know her name because she NEVER asks for my Sheetz card or if I want my receipt. She doesn't even hand me my food, so I'm just standing there and she's looking at the next customer to come up. So, I just grab my stuff and walk off. No "have a great day" or "thanks." read more

So I was coming back to my home town of Greensboro, NC coming from Louisville, KY. As I was on my way home I stopped by this sheetz to use the restroom as I go in to one of the stalls where the toilets are I noticed on both walls carved out was two swazka and "KKK" written on the walls. Being a black man coming home to this is not the welcoming feeling that I was looking for it. read more

One of the newer and better Sheetz. Located on Route 601 just off of Interstate 74 which makes its and easy on and easy off location for travelers. The coffee can be a little stale at times but the MTO food is good and prepared quick for travelers in a hurry. This Sheetz even has a Drive Thru for even quicker service. This is an easy stop for me when Traveling to and From Winston Salem for Sports events at Wake Forest. read more

We stopped at the Sheetz in Mount Airy to get gas. I have been to some rough cities but I have never seen this. Mount Airy is a beautiful place and shouldn't be lowered to this. This looks like a week's worth of trash. EVERY trash can was over flooded with trash. Everybody was looking for a trash can that wasn't overrun. There was trash all through the parking lot and outside sitting area. The women's bath room had toilet paper all over the floor, no paper towels. The mens had no soap. Please do better cause your city is too good for this. read more

I came in and was about to purchase some alcoholic beverages for myself. While in the store I met a few friends of mine who I was chatting with and they followed me to the freezer room. Once I picked up my beverages from the cooler room I headed to the front and was going to make my purchase when who I assume was the MOD started yelled to me that she needed to check me out. I figured this was okay, as I am 22, and I know I look pretty young, so I am fine with being carded. She scanned my ID three times and incomprehensibly yelled at me about my ID. Trying to be polite I asked her if she needed my ID again, and she yelled at me telling me: "I need the ID's of the two girls you were with!" I was trying to explain that I couldn't ask them to bring their ID's and that i wasn't getting the drinks for them, but she interrupted me again, and told me she was not going to sell me my drinks. I was not able to catch the name of the woman, but she was short, and was working at around 11pm on June 26, 2021. I understand that it may have looked like my friends were there with me, but she made some incorrect assumptions and was less than cordial to me. read more

This is near by.. its convenient, and that being said, its not like my life revolves around Sheetz.. however, when Sheetz has it together, its good. (Together = Clean, well stocked, fully staffed) Last time I was at this location, I wanted something sweet: ordered one of their custom made "Milkshakes". . Cake batter flavor... It was weak on flavor and the consistency was thin and icy. To me, a milkshake should be thick, creamy, flavorful.. this was none of that. Not only that, but even though I only ordered a small, it started to separate half way through my drinking it: Again, thin, icy, weak. Definitely would not get another one. Even though this was only 1.99, it wasn't worth it. If they were giving these away, I wouldn't take one, because if Im going to "spend" the calories, it better be worth it... and this was not. They also have a new softserve machine, with chocolate and vanilla ice cream - pretty darn good, and only $2.99 per cup, which beats the HECK out of the local SweetFrog; Sweetfrog weighs your cup, which can get pricey. I mean, Sweetfrog does have "No weigh Wednesday", but still, even on that day Sweetfrog charges $4.00... but back to Sheetz.. Sheetz also has a frozen yogurt machine, and the vanilla is SO GOOD that I doubt that its really yogurt: tastes IDENTICAL to really good Vanilla soft serve ice cream! Makes me think they just might use the ice cream mix in the yogurt machine..but If it IS really yogurt, wow.. outstanding! The reason I didnt give this location a better rating is because its often messy (and one time downright FILTHY) and the new ice cream machine seems to be "Temporarily out of order" A LOT. Is it down for cleaning? Ok, well... you are open 24 hrs, so maybe you should clean the machine at 3 am when there are not many customers, vs 12 noon on a hot summer day when people want ice cream. One other complaint: the Sheetz loyalty card: why do you have to have a PHYSICAL Card? Why cant you just type in your phone number? Annoying. Definitely good for a quick hit, but other locations (Dobson, Elkin, andvthe new one in Winston) do it better. read more

This store is clean and has a good selection of food and drinks. However, the MTO food service is beyond incredibly slow. I have time to write this review because I have been waiting ten minutes for a frozen drink. There is a large crowd of people waiting with me. This is not the first time I've had a long wait at this location. I am very happy Sheetz is in our area, but they need to better staff the restaurant portion of the store. read more

Everytime I get a pretzel with salt here it is just plain dough with no salt whatsoever, the service here is terrible and I asked to cook the pretzel a little longer and i basically just got handed pizza dough. read more
