Shell - Cashier area - Gas Stations Near Me - Boynton Beach, Florida

3.5 stars over all. This gas station is located on the intersection of Congress Ave and Boynton Beach Blvd. Their prices stay competitive in the area and it's a good bet to get gasoline from here. It's a bit on the small side with 6 pumps total. Last time I went was a bit of a disappoint since only 2 of them were working, but usually all the stations are functioning. I waited about 10 minutes but usually that's not the case. I like the fact that they have two entrances so it's convenient that you can go either way depending on, if you want to go on Congress Ave or Boynton Beach Blvd. The food store inside is stocked up but is on the smaller side as well. It's organized and clean. Whenever I'm in the area and don't have time to go to Costco, this Shell gas station is my go to place for gasoline for my car.~ read more

I walked up and the man starts to bang on the window and yell at me "WHAT DO YOU WANT" and I said "number 8 $20 please" as he takes me card I realized that was very rude so I took my card, slammed the tray, and yell back "don't be fucking rude" and he refund me my money and cut the gas pump. I went back up "hello number 8 $20" and he told me to get back into my car and go somewhere else with my little attitude. I told him "how am I giving you an attitude when you gave me an attitude first?" And so I left. I should have called the cops on this very little inconvenience that I did nothing wrong for him to yell at me in the first place. I really thought he wanted something from the guy before me. Everybody have to be nice to each other ,specially customer service which you will need to meet and help a lot of people to complete their need since they are driving to your business . Went there to cash lotto ,they said they do t have cash ,waiting for another lady she said the same thing with out smoking or apology for not be able to help your customer or future customer. I walked to my car ,Kirl (if I spell right ) came into and asked to help me nicely . Then he helped me with the same guys who said no cash right next to him with his scarily feeling that he would cash me out if he knew I only won $10 !! This business need a better train or better employee who deserv this job which is friendly and smiling is the must !! I am super surprise after reading the reviews how rude the person on the evening of 3/19/2020 at 9:45pm. Took the clerk almost 5 min to acknowledged me while standing at register waiting for her to finish watching some video on her phone so I may pay for my drinks. Then when she did acknowledge me she acted as if I was bothering her and just held her hand out for me to place money in her hands while she was watching her phone. After taking the money she closed the drawer, I mentioned I was owed some change & she looked up from looking at her phone and just scoffed at me. Very rude & disrespectful. I had a horrible day lost my cash and spent two hours trying to get home from work. I finally went to target and bought A Visa gift card. The first attendant didn't ring me up correctly and I had thrown out the card because I used all of the money to get gas. Once I realized there was no money on the pump I went insure and she wasn't very helpful however a younger gentleman named Rodney dug trough trash cans for atleast 10 minutes until he found my card. He did it with a smile on his face and was so polite and kind. I would be broke down on the side of the road if he hadn't hoped me and because of him I would rate the store 5 stars!!! read more

I work close by and used this as my primary spot for gas & snacks/drinks throughout the days until yesterday happened. I know that often tellers cannot make change for multiple reasons but I stood in line yesterday behind a man paying cash and as the draw opened it was visible that small dollars were plentiful so I asked politely for change of a $20 and even acknowledged it may not be possible... the reaction for the teller was an instant No so I said "okay, let me get a quick pick for PowerBall." Immediate No followed again w no explanation & a wave to the lady behind me to step up. I said "okay, give me 2 Quick Picks." She then said No a 3rd time and said she would not have small change until 12 & waved up the lady behind me again. It was 1pm at that time so I looked at her confused as a main gas station is telling me they won't have small change for 11 hours! The lady behind me then said she can change a $20 for me which I exchanged w her and left the store. About a half hour later I drove my co-worker to the store to buy a couple Gatorades (2 for $3) w a $20 bill and low & behold he was given change of his $20. Hate to make something like this a race issue but let's just say they were the same race and I was not. Disgusted w how I was treated and the body language/smart ass tone I was spoken to with. I will not give this store a single $1 of my money going forward as the obvious issue was race & I have always gone in there politely and w a smile. I went to visit my mother who lives in the Boynton area, after I left her house I stopped in at this Shell's gas station to fill up my tank and to empty my bladder for the 4 hour drive back to Orlando. I'm usually very skeptical in using a restroom in a gas station I much rather use one from a chain restaurant and such. But I must say I walked into this gas station and I was welcomed by a friendly Indian guy who then politely showed me the way to the bathroom. I walked in thinking that omg, it's going to be nasty and smelly in here. To my suprise... the bathroom was immaculate and had no foul odors, it was very clean. I walked back into the store and also noticed that all the shelves were neatly organized and very clean. I decided wow a clean bathroom and a clean gas station?!?! Today might be my lucky day. I bought a $10 scratch off and I won $40!! Nonetheless, this Indian guy with glasses sure keeps this gas station clean. read more
