I stopped here on a Thursday night, gas prices were about average for the entire SF bay Area. Gas station is built on a hill, so the driveways are a bit awkward. It's fine if you're careful. After seeing all the terrible reviews, I didn't even think about using the carwash. The Loop Market was nicely stocked. I like how Loop Shops are bright and modern. All kinds of drinks and snacks. Lots of coffees and "grab and go" packaged foods. There's certain snacks and candy they only sell at gas stations. Tip: When you're driving, you get tired faster if you're hungry. That's why gas stations sell drinks and snacks. One cashier on duty. She was polite and helpful. Anyway, nice Shell station. The steel containers in the parking lot look out of place. Just walked in at 2:AM to get a charger for my car, and a few snacks for my drive. This chick was sleeping while sitting in a chair at the counter. Maybe she was upset because I walked in while she was trying to sleep? I don't know! But I asked her about the phone chargers and she didn't respond. Then I asked again and she said there were no phone chargers at her register. So I figured she'd come to the phone chargers since I'm a paying customer looking for a phone charger. But nah... She sat there stapling receipts and told me she was busy. So I left. I might stop coming to this shell station. read more

The price of the ultimate car wash has increased to $16.99. I'm guessing it's due to the updated automated assembly car wash system which I thought was cool. However, it is a weak car wash. The bird poop stain was still on the hood. Tire rims dirt did not get cleaned at all. Windows were partially scrubbed. I ended spending an hour on windows and hub caps. The older system did a better job. read more

BEWARE!! POOR QUALITY CAR WASH SERVICE After I noticed some dirt still on my car, I expressed my dissatisfaction to Flossie, one of the staff members. Unfortunately, she didn't seem to care at all about my dissatisfaction. She responded by asking "what did you pay for?" I told her that I had opted for the express service. She offered a mere $1.5 refund but made it clear that re-servicing was not an option since the express service was inadequate for a thorough cleaning. It is evident that they lack of professionalism and prioritize profit over customer satisfaction, resulting in services that fall far below acceptable standards. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable car wash. Save yourself the frustration and find a better option. Their car wash machine is ineffective and incapable of providing a thorough cleaning. FYI: I always get the express service, but I have never encountered this problem with other Shell stations. read more

I pump $80 worth of gas and my gas gauge shows empty. Never any problems with it before. I go in and ask what's going on and nobody knows. I say I need a refund and the response fr both cashiers is that they can't do anything. Ask for the manager and told she's at school. Both cashiers refuse to do anything. I need to drive back from across the bay when the manager is here. All this with a major load of attitude from both cashiers. I'd give zero stars if I could. I'm out $80 for sure. read more

I hate that this gas station is the closest to my parents'. It's the worst Shell brand station I've gone to. Their card readers have been down a while. Last time, I bought gas elsewhere, as the only cashier working was helping a guy to read something in another language, ignoring my need to pay inside. They haven't bothered to display signs at the pumps that the readers aren't operational, leaving me trying a couple different pumps today before going in to deal with the same seemingly oblivious, rude cashier. Now I'm waiting in the car wash line, which they do nothing to manage. The line winds far because gas is 20 cents cheaper per gallon with a car wash purchase and today's Sunday, and customers have to fend for themselves to navigate the chaos. Never again. read more

went for carwash at 1pm today. blower is not working again! but the staff don't even have the courtesy to post a sign up and not even a sorry, but the worst is to deny saying no one was having issue!?!? let alone giving a refund which I didn't bothered to ask since this is not the 1st time. these so called staff holds not even an ounce of professionalism. she couldhave said: oh, my bad/sorry that happened and would have gone on my way after drying the car myself, wasting $16 and getting attitude and denial!!! then the rinse portion of the wash broke on the next 2 cars after me! so don't waste your money and just go elsewhere for gas, wash or whatever next time. p.s almost forgot: don't bother asking for manager, they'll claim the higher ups are never there!!!!! read more

What a PISS OFF. So I paid for the Ultimate Car Wash the $12 pricy one.....when my car entered the wash the undercarriage and wheel sprinklers were not working.... Half of the water shot back words and missed my car. As I exited the sprinklers on the driver side didn't work and left soap all over my car. When I explained this to the cashier inside she says, " there is nothing we can do" like wow ok , you are useless. Instead I was given a free car wash... guess I can't use it today. The cashier didn't even check the wash and everyone got a "half ass" wash. The cashier was like "uh huh ok" they just don't care here. I am NOT fillings my gas tank here anymore nor washing my car here. What a mess of an establishment. read more

Update 2/11/20: Spent another 30 minutes waiting to get a car wash only for the machine to stop working. There is no phone number or signage posted anywhere for this type of situation to try to get in touch with a team member to let them know I'm stuck. I I asked the person behind me if they could grab a team member and 5 minutes later he peered in and disappeared without a word of notice of what I should do next. I felt terrible for all the people waiting behind me as they all pulled out one by one after they also gave up 30 minutes to not get a car wash. After five more minutes I finally pulled out and spoke to the front desk to speak to a manager... to then followed him out side to see if the car wash was working again... To then follow him back inside and then speak to another manager. The manager was quick to pull out that this was all my fault because I had pulled in too far and then pulled back too far. I do understand that may have been the case with the machine shutting down but then not receiving further instruction or feedback about what to do next, and not having signage posted, doesn't help. I had zero interest in waiting in line yet again for the car wash so asked for a refund and received a partial one since I received a discount for gas (understandable). I won't be back here and would advise you don't either. read more

This is a formal complaint about the store management Rocio. This lady has absolutely no skills to be a store management. On the evening of November 24th, I took my car to the car wash at this location which is located at 398 Gellert Blvd. When I finished washing the car and went back to the garage, something terrible happened. I found a lot of scratches and paint peeling on the front right side of the car, my car even went from a shiny finish to a matte finish. I immediately went back to gas station and tried to report the issue to their staff, But I was told that their manager wasn't there, none of these people knows how to handling my situation, they asked me to come back and talk to their manager on Friday. On Friday afternoon I returned to the same place and was told that their manager was not there. After some tossing and turning, I was told that their manager worked at another store which is located at 390 Hickey Blvd. I reached out to the management Rocio by phone and tried to explain my situation to her, but instead of trying to understand the cause of the matter, she was very indifferent to me and told me that they're not responsible for any damage caused by the car wash. I had to go to her place of work and show her how my car was doing. She threw the car wash incident report form right in my face instead of saying Hello. I took her to my car and tried to show her where it had been scratched, but was met with a cynical look on her face, she even tried to pass the buck by saying that the scratches on my car weren't from their car wash. Really? Rocio, do you really think you will knows my car better than myself? She even tried to tell me that they posted a disclaimer outside the car wash and told me that I can go to take a photo if I like. But hey! However, the disclaimer does not mean that you do not need to maintain your equipment to cause all this damage to my car even though I have followed the rules. All right, I completed the car wash incident report form and asked her when I would hear back, but I was told " I DON'T KNOW" on every single question I had asked after I had the incident form get completed. "Nothing else I can do it for you, your situation are took over from our corporate office now" she said. Mrs Rocio, as a store manager, do you feel your attitude, your ability to work, and your customer service are really what a manager should be? Based on your attitude and ability to deal with problems, I will definitely follow up my situation, if you don't want to deal with it, I'll deal with your corporate office, if your corporate office doesn't want to deal with it, I'll go over to the Best Business Bureau. Because I believe customers should be treated as they should be treated. read more

They no longer include any wax coat in their drive thru car wash (a deal breaker for me) but their prices are just as high. This despite the lady at the counter claiming their "the works" one still does. I hate it when a business gets cheap with a "The customer can do without" attitude. Card reader #7 was down. I tried with two different cards. No go. Luckily I was able to get #5 to work. After I filled up my tank, I parked in one of the parking spaces and went into the store to report the busted card reader, because I wanted to do them a favor. The woman behind the counter constantly interrupted me as I talked, trying to tell me to try a different card -- even though I had JUST said it happened with two different cards. I went on to say that another customer had had the same issue, and he tried a different pump but I saw him drive away a moment later. Clearly they have more than one broken reader. She interrupted me with that, too. She finally shut up long enough to listen to my explanation and then switched to telling me that they have no control over the card readers and oh by the way they have already reported it. Lady, if you'd let me just quickly tell you what I had to say without the constant interruptions, the conversation would have been over a whole lot quicker and with less frustration for everyone involved. Fail. No reason to ever come back here, and I heartily disrecommend this business. They're not worthy of your money. read more

Do not come here for a car wash. The machine Doesn't even work. When I tried to party with my card it kept backing me out to the payment screen and didn't accept any payment. If I wanted the car wash I would've had to go into the store then go back out into the super long line. Don't waste your time with this. read more
