I looked…read morein my app for the nearest Shell gas station and I found that it was this one on 535 Hardy Rd, in Vinton, Virginia. I continued driving until I reached my destination of this Vinton Stop & Shop Shell Station and Convenience Store. As with all Shell Stations that I've visited, the place was very clean and modern, with the latest in gas pumps which allowed for Mobile Payment from my cellphone, as well as being part of the Shell Gas Loyalty Program. After filling my tank with Shell gas and paying at the pump with my cellphone, I went inside their convenience store to see what they had to offer. Among these things were that it was opened 24 hours daily, it was tied in to the Shell Gas Loyalty Program, as well as the Kroger one, it had an Air Pump, Restrooms, a Convenience Store with an ATM machine, the Virginia Lottery, and sold beer and wine, among other things. The attendant inside the convenience store was very friendly and helpful when I asked him for paper copy of my gas receipt. It's a small garage, so you definitely want to give a call ahead before heading there. He was so nice, and even let us go underneath the car as he pointed out any problem spots. After being awarded the Triad Yelper of the Year 2024 Award at the Yelpies Award Ceremony last year, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and bring them to the attention of the public. And this Sheetz is the perfect example. When I arrived at this new location, I was mesmerized by the size of the place. For years I have been a member of My Sheetz Rewards and have been using the Sheetz app, conveniently accumulating reward points and using them to pay for food items and drinks. But this had been at the old Sheetz in the corner of Orange Ave and Williamson Road, which has been closed for some time now. And it was small compared to this and all other New Sheetz which have been constructed and opened reasantly. The first thing I noticed was the large number of gas pumps available outside the gigantic restaurant/convenience store for customers to fill their tanks with gas and save. The price of gas per gallon was already lower than at other gas stations, and by using My Sheez Rewards app, it could turn out to be even lower. I then noticed the Inside-Out Drive-Thru. How convenient for ordering and picking up Made-To-Order Handcrafted Coffees and Sandwiches all day. At prices a lot lower than places like Starbucks. More than a Convenience Store, it has become a Convenience Restaurant and Modern Supermarket. For when you need something on the go. Drive by and pick up one of the Ready-To-Eat items available, or order from the Touch Screen machines, or from the Sheetz app a Made-To-Order food or drink. Inside you will also find modern digital screen coffee and other drinks machines that will allow you to custom make whatever your heart's desires. In the back there is a Walk In Beer Cave with all types of beers as well as a Wine rack in case wine is your thing. Other items like milk, snacks like ice cream, chips, and sodas. They also have a Virginia Lottery station to fill out your cards as well as an ATM machine for times when you need cash. As always they have fresh Bakery items to accompany your morning Coffee.
