Although the shop is quite often busy, for me it was always worth knowing that I was dealing with someone who wasn't out to screw me over and would invariably let me know if something was truly urgent or just something to keep an eye on in the future. When my husband bought a truck not too long ago, Greg took a look under the hood to make sure we weren't buying a lemon and didn't charge us for his time. Instead, he simply asked that we bring our future business with regard to the truck to him, which we happily did. My only complaint (and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars) is that he is not a large shop, and as such, does not have access to certain things (like wheel balance and alignments). That was a problem for us when we bought new tires and had them mounted but could not have them balanced at the shop and had to pay elsewhere to have that done. Also, as I said, he is quite often busy, so for large repairs, there may be a fairly significant wait. This was not an issue for us as we rarely required significant work on our cars and we lived walking distance from the shop, but I can imagine how that might be a problem for some people. Overall, I have and would continue to recommend Rudisills to anyone looking for a good, honest, hardworking mechanic.

Luckily we were able to get off at the next exit where I vigorously began searching for nearby repair shops. Of course all the ones I were calling were too busy or could not get through. I then moved to the next shop Tk & C Enterprises Inc and I am so glad I did. Not only did the sweetest man who picked up the phone told us he could got us in, but he even drove down the road to fill our coolant levels so we could make it to the shop. The fix was quick and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs help in Virginia. Its refreshing to have someone that not only picks up the phone when you call but is knowledgeable as well. Most transmission shops have nobody answering the phone or answering questions and no answering machine and if they do have an answering machine they don't return calls. The dealers is way overpriced and takes weeks to get to you while you're out of a car.

We knew something was wrong and were just before the Christiansburg exit, so I quick looked on yelp and saw Ashton's Place not far with a 5 star review. So I started calling and Ashton answered and as I was on the phone explaining, the car stopped completely and we just made it into a little store just down the road from Ashton's. He said stay there, I'll walk down to you. He came with a portable battery & got us started. We drove to his shop and he took a look right away, and told us what it would cost and how long he estimated, which would put it past his closing time. He asked if we had somewhere to stay overnight; he assured us he would try and get it done or if he couldn't that night, definitely the next morning. He even recommended a hotel (which we loved!) and asked his coworker, Joe, to drive us there! Near the hotel was a restaurant we were eating. Halfway through dinner he called to say it was ready! They had stayed after closing to finish it. He even brought it to us at the restaurant! I don't know about you, but I've never had better service than that! I got stuck on the highway ..we were scared to death. I called Cambria Auto and talk to a very nice lady named Sarah. She sent her mechanic up to look at my car. He was so friendly and knew immediately what was wrong. My water pump was leaking bad. I called Duncan Ford and they said bring it on over. Five minutes later Duncan Ford called back and said..we can't take you. That's ford not standing behind their cars. Cambria Auto took my car to their shop and started working on it. My car was ready Friday by 10 AM. Sarah worked with my extended warranty co. and took care of the charges. Next morning Sarah brought my car to the hotel.
