While traveling across Colorado on I-70 to attend a family memorial, I found myself low on…read moregasoline. I could have stopped anywhere but remembering what a great time I had in the lovely small town of Minturn while visiting some ranching friends, I opted to drive the two miles out of my way to gas up there and maybe take a walk around to shop in the cute stores. What a huge mistake! All I could see in Minturn was a Shop & Hop so I pulled in. I put my credit card into the pump and was pre-authorized but no gas was coming out so after many tries I went inside to see if the problem was me or the pump... I'm old but do know how to pump gas! I explained to the employee that I was struggling and her response was "I see that". I didn't expect what came next. She very rudely began berating me for removing the nozzle before I pushed the button to choose the desired gasoline. I was so embarrassed, I turned and went back to the pump. After several attempts, I was able to pump enough gasoline to get me out of there but I received no receipt or acknowledgement that my card had been charged. Ugh! I really didn't want to go back inside but had to be sure that I had paid for the gasoline. When I walked back inside the employee was ringing up another customer but stopped, looked directly at me and said "WHAT NOW?". I was horrified and just said "WOW!" and walked out. I was so shocked that this woman would choose to be so unkind. Just a bit of kindness to another human being would have gone a long way. Either this woman owns the business and has a monopoly that keeps her in business, or the owner is desperate for help. But there is a bigger picture... gross meanness to each other is not what this world needs in any situation let alone the service industry. Put a little love in your heart lady!

If traveling anywhere into the mountains, its best to fill up your tank since there might not be another station for awhile. Each time Ive been here, the area is clean, the pumps are operational and in the winter time the surface area is free from ice and snow and the price of gas is competitive to that of other stations in surrounding towns.

The work was done expeditiously and at a very fair price. Tucker works for Vail Ski Corporation and needs his SUV to commute to and from work. My friend who works with cars said I could just get some stuff from Walmart to fix it temporarily till I got down to Denver. Instead I went to vail garage and asked them how much it would be, the guy said it shouldn't be more than around $50. When it was complete they charged me $75, I was surprised and annoyed it was that much more than he said but I said "is this temporary fix or I'm all set and don't need to get it fixed in Denver". He said no you're all set, no need to do more in Denver". I told the friend who works in cars how much it cost (since he knew what part it was) and he said "they charged you way too much", I said "at least it's not a temporary fix". However, I happened to glance at my parked car last week and saw the same part hanging down again, and I for sure have not hit anything or driven anywhere other than smooth highway. It was right before the long weekend that I noticed it and I had planned to drive down to Denver but postponed until I could get this taken care of as I didn't want to do further damage, which was annoying. I was surprised to see this company doesn't even have a website, or an email address. But given the positive reviews I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed this must be because they're very responsive via phone. I left a voicemail over 48hrs ago explaining the situation and still have not heard back at all. Given the positive reviews I assumed I'd be hearing back within 24hrs to tell me to bring the car in etc, but with no attempt to get back to me for now well over 48hrs it seems like a choice on their part. keep in mind my voicemail was polite. Since they have no website or other contact info they've kinda left me no other choice than to write this.
