After 3 hours' repair, they claimed the problem is solved. After we drove out of the store, it was only good for 1.5 hours and it is overheated again, thanks to their magical hands. We were stuck in the middle of nowhere and was towed again. They charged 865 bucks: 202 for the parts and 600 for the labor cost ($150/hour): I just don't know where the extra $63 comes from. Ryan actually worked 3 hours on my car, and said it is a 4-hours work. He explained how good he is and was able to finish the 4-hour work in 3 hours, and gave me a funny example of his 12 year old brother would use longer time and charge even more if mechanics are paid by actual working hours. I was just amazed how well he can debate; I think he should run for the president because the two candidates both suck at it. Hey Ryan, I think your 12 year old brother would do that better than you. Next time I want your brother to fix the car for me. Please visit this space if you want your car broken on the road again, being overcharged, and joining some really funny debate. Or you can just find a hotel, wait until Monday, and look for a real auto repair.

I paid for a full inspection which includes checking fluid level checks. I specifically requested the rear differential fluid to be checked. The receptionist stated "oh yeah we check all the fluids" After picking up my vehicle and receiving the estimates, which were over $3k, for needed repairs, I drove straight home to check the "needed repairs " on the estimates. It was stated that my driveshaft was about to come apart which, would cause catastrophic failure. The u-joints at both ends of the driveshaft were in perfect, lubricated condition. The receptionist relayed information from the mechanic stating the driveshaft connections were so bad, that a catastrophic failure could happen at any time. There are grease fittings at every joint along the driveshaft assembly. You would hope the mechanic would've given them a shot of grease instead of sending me on my way with such a dangerous condition. Nope! Part of the estimate they gave me was for changing the fluid in the rear differential. The fill hole wasn't touched. How do I know this you might ask? Because the area surrounding the fill plug was dusty/dirty and bone dry. As soon as I began unscrewing the fill plug, fresh gear oil began to leak out, which would've been wiped off or wet at least, proving it was never checked. Finding a great mechanic is like finding gold... no gold here folks.

I once had a PTO actuator fail on a vital price of equipment- in the middle of a job. I asked Chris the owner to look at it , the actuator was a remove and replace type item that was riveted together. It was a special order and I was screwed! Chris knew how important it was for me to get back to work, I was in a really tough position and he really saved the day. Chris drilled out the rivets and fixed the part that any other guy would not have even attempted, and as a result I continued working - his knowledge is exceptional and his willingness to help makes this my favorite mechanic I've ever used. I highly recommend this shop and these guys. I have Chris in my phone on speed dial as "ninja mechanic" This is a real mechanics shop - not just a place to get parts changed.

I discovered that my left/rear tire was VERY low, so I pumped it up with my DeWalt jump starter/pump while I checked Apple Maps for a local tire repair shop near me (Frisco, CO). The first "hit" was Big O Tire in Frisco, so I called them and told them I had a tire going flat, and needed a quick repair. It was 4:40 pm, and their response was, "We close at 5:00 pm, so we don't have time to help you out". Gee...thanks for nothing! I went back to Apple Maps and the second "hit" was Utopia Tire and Auto Repair. I called them and told them my situation. Jessica checked with her team and came back and said, "Bring it in and we'll do our best to help you". I limped to their shop, they threw my van into their bay, pulled the tire off, patched the hole, and sent me safely/happily on my way home in 15 minutes, as they locked the doors and closed up shop at 5:02 pm. AMAZING customer service, and even more importantly -- so very awesome that they took my issue on at the "last minute" and made sure that I got it fixed and sent me down the road to make it home, even if they had to do so at the very end of their workday. GREAT JOB, Utopia. Thank you SO MUCH for taking care of me when I needed some grace !

I brought my car in for an inspection and alignment due to shimmying at highway speeds. The staff…read morewere courteous. When I picked up my vehicle, I was told that I only needed an alignment. I paid about $170.00 for the alignment, shopped for groceries, and then entered I-70. The shimmying problem had not been repaired. I returned to Utopia, where a mechanic inspected my vehicle. I was told that I needed two lower control arms replaced. I was then given a work order (estimate) for $1,689. This was in addition to the $170 that I had already paid. I found a competitor in Silverthorne who did all of this work (replacing the control arms, balancing the tires, and aligning the vehicle) for 1,421. This was $438 less than Utopia would have charged ($170 for the initial alignment plus 1859 for the new control arms). More importantly, I had little confidence in the competence of Utopia's mechanic at this point. I highly recommend checking out the two shops in Silverthorne that perform front end work.

They said they would try to squeeze us in. 60 miles later, we arrived at summit ford only to find out there may or may not be a diesel technician in on Thursday (this was Monday at 8:30am)but unsure. That would have been nice to know beforehand. The guy behind the desk was unhelpful, would hardly acknowledge us and didn't even have the decency to recommend another local business. They recommended WE DRIVE AN HOUR AND HALF TO FLAT LAND, and see if it would work it self out. WHAT?!? Absolutely, Ludicrous. At that time, I just started making phone calls to local mechanics. Thank god we stumbled on western Summit Mobile Service! They answered and immediately said to bring our truck right over. We were greeted by Matthew who came out to the truck and started working on the truck right away. Not only very professional but the friendliest of guys! Rocky came out and helped as well. We also learned that the truck would not have made it to this "flat land" summit ford "recommended". Unfortunately, after working on the truck for 30 minutes, they came to the conclusion that we needed some additional equipment but they graciously recommended another local business across the street and didn't even charge us a fee. We truly appreciate their willingness to help.
