Tire Kingdom usually has a $50 full synthetic oil change, but I'm suspicious. I think Tire Choice is the most expensive at about $120 if you don't have a coupon for full synthetic. Then you have Tires Plus who charge like $97 for synthetic. At those tire shops, you can be waiting up to four hours, just to get your oil change because they do other services and you need to wait your turn. That's why moving forward I'm always gonna go to Valvoline oil change.

They keep telling me it's normal wear and tear. Dishonest workers who won't stand behind the damage they caused! While there I ask why the little reminder sticker for the windshield says next oil service due is 3000 miles or 3 months. Synthetic oil was put in the car. GM recommends 7500 miles or 1 year. These people are ripping people off getting them in there every 3000 miles or 3 months. Girl at Valvoline told me that even if I didn't drive 3000 miles you should change it every 3 months anyways. There were two cars ahead of me when I got there. It probably took me an hour before I got serviced and got out of there. I knew I wanted to get an oil change and new windshield wipers. My total was around $211 and I had a coupon for $15 off the final order. However, one of the mechanics recommended that I get the air filter changed. I agreed it was probably best to change it. My total then bumped up to $233. Obviously then I used my $15 off. Honestly, despite the price being kind of high. I did feel like the mechanics had the best intentions here. They were friendly and very quick on the services. I will come back to get other services in the future.

While I was there, I was told that both the left and right LED license plate light assemblies needed to be replaced. I was given a written estimate for $769.55 -- $279.98 for the parts, $402.60 for labor, $40 in shop supplies, and $46.97 in tax. I did NOT authorize the repair because I wanted another opinion. I had someone else inspect my vehicle, and he discovered that the existing license plate light assemblies were unplugged. He reconnected them, and the lights immediately came back on and worked. No replacement of either assembly was necessary to get the lights working. On August 3, 2026, I returned to the Kirkman Road location with the person who found the issue. I spoke with Service Advisor Michelle, who told me that the person who initially inspected my vehicle was technician Brian, not the master mechanic. I asked the manager how I could have been given a $769.55 estimate to replace both assemblies when the existing assemblies worked once they were reconnected. Instead of explaining how the original diagnosis was reached, the conversation focused on why someone would have unplugged the assemblies. I don't know who unplugged them, and I'm not claiming that I do. My concern is the diagnosis. I came in for an oil change and was presented with a nearly $770 repair recommendation. Had I not gotten a second opinion, I could have paid for two replacement assemblies that were apparently functioning properly.
