Been to this location 2 times for a diagnostic check on our older vehicle. Paid the $120 diagnostic fee both times. First quote for a/c compressor work was going to be a little over $1,000. Thank goodness we decided to wait on that. Next quote was just last week for a check engine light. The repairs they quoted us for was going to be about $2,000! Luckily, we remembered a neighbor gave us his mechanic's phone number for his auto body repair shop on S.Orange Blossom Trail. Total repair came out to $420! Don't get me wrong, the customer service here is wonderful but they are definitely just trying to make money off of customers. I was charged a stupid high amount for an oil change, and upon asking or an itemized list of charges, immediately the team member began typing out a new printed receipt just because i asked. Which was great, but he wasn't about to until I even inquired to see what I was charged with. Today I visited the store located at 2708 W Osceola Parkway to have a tire repaired due to a screw puncture. The store manager informed me that they could not perform the repair and would only sell me a new tire, claiming they didn't have any patches available. My tires are in excellent condition and were purchased at the same store. I needed the service today, so I even offered to bring the patch myself, but the manager still refused. The only solution offered was to buy a new tire. I left the store without further discussion. I waited three hours to get a oil change, after the first hour I was told 40 more minutes, then the second hour came around and I was told 30 more minutes, finally the third hour approached & I was finally told that the mechanic had just up and left so I proceeded to ask for my keys so I can just leave. MY CAR WAS IN THE SAME SPOT FOR THREE HOURS THEY. They could've shared this information with me within the first two hours instead of wasting my time. Horrible Service. I went to Pep-Boys located in 302 W vine street last month in August, my car screen display show: Tools sign-meaning need maintenance, also slowing my car down. So I took it to Pep boys, asking them to fix the issue with tools sign showing in the display screen, and causing the car to slow down. looks like Raymond and his team don't know what that means or how to fix it. They charged me for something I didn't need; Battery cable terminal and brake light switch, they also Damaged my Master cylinder. My brake pedals always work perfectly, I left there with my brakes damage. Have to push my brake real hard or three times to start the car. They charge me $140 just to look at car, Plus $382 to put parts I didn't need. Total $522. My car screen showed the Tool sign again the next day slowing the car, and needing maintenance. I had to take my car to Tire Kingdom across the street, they fixed the issue, it was the Throttle fuel induction needing cleaning. If I could give it a negative number I would.... I went yesterday to get an alignment to my vehicle as it was shifting right and we had just put new tires on it. After I left, I noticed that on my receipt it had some shop fee that was NEVER disclosed so I called them and they stated that every service it has to be applied and it cannot be reversed. So with that said, I continued heading home. Now, as we are heading home, my husband notices that my vehicle is STILL doing the same shifting right and now it has a shake to the steering wheel! I was SO livid that I ended up going into another Pep Boys to have them check AGAIN. First of all, I NEVER received the alignment paperwork which they should have given. Secondly, I didn't need an alignment but only a torque! The gentleman at the 2nd Pep Bots fixed my issues!!! Both front tires needed to be switched and no alignment was needed!!! In fact, I most likely did NOT receive one as there was no paperwork issued for it!!! This place seems to rip off its customers instead of doing the right thing! VERY disappointed to say the least!!! No one likes being lied to. Made appointment, showed up on time, brake special for 169 as per online advertisement. Told that doesn't include resurfacing the rotors. Showed the guy at the front desk the ad, which says resurfacing rotors included. He said we dont do that here, it will be 80 dollars extra because we machine the rotors, we dont do simple turning of the rotors here, we dont have that equipment. Blatant lying to my face. I don't recommend this pep boys I had them change an alternator, battery, and auxiliary battery. I had to take the car back three times the first was due to them installing a bad alternator and how that wasn't tested prior to putting it my car is insane. I had to return twice for my batteries to be told that my auxiliary battery they cannot program and I had to take it to the dealership. Upon taking it to the dealership I did not need a new alternator and the batteries were not need as they just did not have a full charge. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

About a days go by and I went to get my wheels re torqued since the ride felt a touch wobbly still, wasn't sure if it was air pressure or what. I wish there's a way to leave negative stars but whatever you do, this place is not it. I've had two very negative experiences here that cost me a lot of money and time. First time, I got a service to change my break pads and rotors. Took them the entire day after I dropped off my car in the morning and at the very end of the day, they hand me my car keys back with a receipt for a very expensive work order, but the break pads and rotors were never changed!!! Went back for a wheel alignment a few months later, because i thought "who would mess that up? right". Well I was not surprised to see that 3 months later, my two front wheels are completely bald on the right side with a major camber tilting towards the right. That just cost me 2 new tires plus service (somewhere else ofc, i learned my lesson) for over $800, simply because their didn't do their job properly yet again. The staff in the shop seem like good people, but their technicians and mechanics will ruin your vehicle and cost you money. Be careful. read more

Everyone is hangin out talking and taking their time as if they were on vacation while a line of customers is waiting. 4 hours for a simple oil change when I provided the oil and filter. Their initial estimate was 45 freakin minutes! Asked to change out the brake pads on my wife's car who also came with. Changed out the rotors without my permission. Asked to install the old ones back. Got here at 10am. It's 3:15pm and still no sign of them finishing the job. This places is a CIRCUS ON STEROIDS! Called Pep Boys @630pm for a estimate to have 4 tires installed. Carlos informed me he didn't have the tires I desired but would be able to get them from one of his nearby stores and assured me he could have this done for me the same day. I was a little surprised since I knew they closed at 7pm. Not only did Carlos and his mechanic Luis stay after hours to install, mount and balance my 4 new tires. They also made time to include a wheel alignment and 3 step Fuel injection and throttle body service at my request. All after their estimated closing time of 7pm!! WOW!! I couldn't get a rep at a near by store to make time to give me a estimate and here these 2 guys are staying 2hrs after hours to make sure I have a safe and reliable vehicle to use for transportation. I bought a used vehicle and was getting it ready to drive to Texas. I walked in and Perry did not hesitate to give me the best service. He got me right in and took care of everything. He propped the car up and showed me everything he would be doing to the car in detail. He made me feel so comfortable and I'm a female with little to no experience on cars and he explained it to where I would understand and did not feel like I was taken advantage of for my lack of knowledge. The location is great cause I was able to walk across the street and do some shopping while I waited for his phone call. Everyone there was so nice and all smiles, from the moment I entered to the last moment where a young guy walked me out to my car. I definitely recommend this particular Pep Boys. I made an appointment for 2 oil changes. One at 2:00 and the other at 2:30. We arrived at 2:00. It is now 4:50 and our cars are not even in the shop yet. I'm not sure if they're short staffed or just over booked appointments. Me and the two other people in the waiting room had been waiting for 3 to 4 hours as well for routine car maintenance. The only reason I am giving them two stars is because the gentleman at the front desk was very nice and apologetic and gave us 2 coupons for oil changes. After years of making appointments, they were neglected and I was told that the earlier I come when they open the earlier I will be served. This morning I went in before opening, first one at the door and guess what? They asked me for the first time if I had an appointment and if I didn't I'd likely be there for more than 3 hours. I had a really bad experience during the months of June 15th through July 23rd 2018. I went to get an A/C evaluation June 15th in which the mechanic did my evaluation. The only thing he did was add refrigerant in my car. I had to go back to them on July 23rd to get it reevaluated. I was told that I had to get my compressor replaced along with other items such as the valve and condenser. I should have been told this back in June. Jeff and Jonathan are great in the front but I don't trust the mechanics at all. I rather spend the extra money at a car dealership than deal with this nonsense. read more

Lowest score possible. Went there for a brake job, had them check the battery. They suggested replacing the battery, so I agreed. Turns out they charged for a new battery but never installed it. Battery died a month later and I went to another Pep Boys outlet where they replaced it under warranty even though they could tell it was NOT a 1-month old battery. I asked the service manager to reflect that on the receipt, and she wrote "the battery had no battery sticker on the side and the battery looks very old". CRIMINAL behavior at the Osceola Parkway store. I contacted the national office and they said that management would get back to me. Not surprised that more than a week has gone by with no contact from Pep Boys. I used to trust this national brand, but now have no confidence in them. SAD read more
