Some people might have had good experience at this place (All Car Shop 1755 S. John young Parkway in Kissimmee Fl) but I am not one of them! I had bad experience with mechanic shops before, but this has been one of the worst! Imagine, I am a 64 years old Desert storm, Desert Shield and Iraqi Freedom veteran, and the manager I spoke with is also a veteran, and look at what I went through, my fellow veteran, we are our worst enemy. I can tell you my whole experience, but there is not enough room on this platform to do it, so I will give a brief synopsis. I first brought my vehicle into the shop (approximately the second week of June), for the check engine light. I was charged approximately $164.00 for a diagnostic, which confirm the code that I was getting about the engine misfiring. I didn't get it worked on that day, because they didn't have the parts. Approximately two weeks later I went back to get the work done. There are two reasons why I went back to that shop. One is, I assumed that they would apply (what I paid for the diagnostic), towards the repair cost, and the other reason is; I love supporting veteran own, or any business that deal with veterans. Anyhow, with the diagnostic, the repaired cost me over $3,000.00 just to change out 8 plugs and coils. Changing out the plugs and coils appeared to solved the problem, because the check engine light went off. On that day they were planning to also do a gas treatment (a can of gas treatment purred into the gas tank), for over $300.00. to avoid paying the $300.00 dollars, I went to the dealership the same day and bought a can of their gas treatment ($40.00 with tax), and pure it in the tank myself. Now here is where the story gets interesting. About three to four weeks later, the same thing happens again, the engine light came back on, with the same two codes. After going back to the shop (for the same issue), I was told that, in order for them to check it out, I would have to agree to pay another $164.00 diagnostic fee. After I agreed to pay the fee, they brought the truck into the shop (with the check engine light still on), to check it out. Approximately 30 to 40 minutes later, the manager (or who appeared to be the manager), came and told me that he was getting a misfire from one of the cylinders, but after clearing the code he couldn't find anything wrong with the truck. I told him that I was getting two codes instead on one, but he advised me that he was only getting one code. He continued by telling me he found a problem, and in the same sentence, told me that he couldn't find nothing wrong with the truck, I couldn't understand that! However, he advised me that because the job/parts were under warranty, he would change out the part that was responsible for the misfire. He also stated that he would also try a gas treatment after changing out the part. After he mention the gas treatment, I told him that I had added a can of gas treatment to the truck the very same day he did the repair. He then stated to me that the gas treatment I added was the cause of the problem. Remind you, I use the same cleaner the dealership used in my truck twice before, also it's been several weeks and several tanks of gas (I went through), leading up to that moment. Also, the whole time I was driving the truck (with the gas treatment in it), the check engine light has not came on once. Anyhow, he told me he was going to speak with his technician and get back to me. When he came back, he handed me back my keys and told me that the gas treatment was the problem. He didn't even bother to change out the part he found that was doing the misfiring, the part that I paid over $3,000.00 for, which was still under warranty. He told me that he wasn't planning to charge me. Are you freaking kidding me, charge me for what?! A job that he never did! He never worked on the truck, he never changed out the part he told me had the misfire, as a matter of fact, the minute I left the property and got out on the main road, the engine light came back on! Last year I took my car a Honda Element (this was around March) to get the VTEC Solenoid replaced, I purchased a brand new one and brought it with me to make it easier for the mechanic. My problem never went away and thought it just needed to be reset so I had a mobile mechanic take a look. Turns out they never changed out my part, took my part, and still charged me for a service they never did. This place is a literal scam. They also tried telling me other parts of my vehicle were going bad which the other mechanic showed proof of not being an issue or even close to being worn out. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Jose Rodriguez at All Car Shop. After confirming with me that he would do a free diagnostic on my car, he went ahead and fixed a fuel pump sensor without informing me about any extra charges beforehand. I was blindsided with a bill I never agreed to. This is completely unprofessional and feels like a bait-and-switch. Transparency is everything when it comes to car repairs -- if I had known there would be a charge, I could've made an informed decision. Instead, I was stuck paying for work I didn't authorize. My VW Passat 2007 Wagon had a power lift gate, which opens and closes itself with the press of a button. This feature stopped working a few years back and I guess the motors failed. I sent it to All Car Shop three days ago to have it checked up and repaired. Their technician did not thoroughly check the problem. They replaced the latch and strut, but nothing was checked or mentioned on the motors, not to say any work done on it. As a result, the power tailgate is not working, just as before. For all their parts and labor, I paid over 1200 dollars, and the key problem persists. Instead, their people did their best to convince me that my car does not have the feature I know it had. I come back to pick up my vehicle and now they decide to explain that there are 2 different diagnostics so they charged me $135 x 2, plus the job. And of course I had to pay because I need my vehicle. This is a ripoff and misleading to consumers. I used to love to take my car here for all the services. But since the new owners have taken over, they are way overpriced and I believe that when I took it in the other day, they charged me for something requested that they did not do including labor and parts. I had asked for the radio to be replaced. They charged me over $700 for a used radio to be installed, and when I left the shop, it still was not working. I also had Serius XM on my old radio and had not informed Sirius of the replacement, but miraculously the Sirius worked for the 5 minutes the radio worked. They also had given me a quote on a new battery until I reminded them to check it, the battery was still under warranty and was only 2 months old. I'll start my review by saying this shop will do good work from experiences taking my vehicle there. However after my last time I will not be going back anymore. After telling them what was wrong and the part that needed to be replaced I was charged $130 to be told exactly what I told them for a diagnostic test. I was given an estimate of over $2k to do a 2 hr job and of that I was charged over $900 just in labor. Then when I questioned the incredible markup of the part that needed to be replaced I was told "we upcharge for parts" . So nothing like being told we know the parts are cheaper than what we're charging you. It's sad because I haven't had an issue with their work but their prices aren't fair or honest and I saved over $1200 by not taking my vehicle here. I know a business needs to make money but you also don't need to be charging prices other people in the industry say are outrageous for a 2 hr job. I had a vehicle towed there for transmission problems and when I got there to pick the vehicle up because of the amount of money they were asking me for I decided to take it elsewhere and they still charge me $138 to tell me that I need a transmission repair! It was brought there because of transmission issues and they still charged me $138 to tell me I had transmission issues! I would never use these rip offs again and I will forever discourage people from using them! Jim the Owner as well as Pierre the Gentleman who worked on my 1989 Mercedes Benz 560SEC 2 separate times was spot on with his diagnosis and workmanship. I returned the car after the 2nd repair because It was not turning over the way it should have, it had nothing to do with my previous repairs. Pierre came out, popped my hood, made an adjustment that took care of the issue. when I asked what I owed them, he said I owe nothing, that it was just an adjustment and I was on my way. They are honest and I would not even think of taking my car anywhere else. I could say more about their honesty but I would be here all day. They are well known and get a lot of referral business ( I was a Referral ). Take them your car and trust that they will do the right thing for you. These guys isolated the issue and we had it the next morning with zero exhaust noise. We were so pleased with the work that was done and the friendliness of the staff. DO NOT USE ALL CAR IN KISSIMMEE...they have done us good for a long time. The guy who owned the place before Jim (Bruce) was great I've been told by my family and other mechanics. Jim who owns the place now is a con artist. We have 4 personal vehicles with them (3 duallys) and 9 work vehicles. We have spent over 50k with them over the 20 something years we've been there. We should be a good priority right? Well two weeks ago a part in my truck breaks (that I've been told should never break come to fine out) and he charges me 110% markup on the main part and 60% on each small part!!!! $3200 in total. Come to find out the part he replaces is something that should never be replaced or need to be replaced Dodge tells us but somehow both my truck and my mother's truck needed this part replaced the same week. Two days later the water pump and belt break and I tell him it's insane this is happening and needs to cut some slack. He charges his 60% on parts and is so nice to give me a $35 AAA discount...that bill was $1k. Now this truck is pristine before his grubby hands get into it. 80k miles 10 year old dodge. Unfortunately I had to get a new computer system in my truck which couldn't be blamed on him which is lucky for his sake but a week later I am driving and my original problem kicks in....again....the $3200 fix is not fixed. Take it somewhere new and they suggest a part that is small and the first place a mechanic should look.
