Worst experience of my life, this business stole my money. My family went to Hawaii in March with a dream of getting family pictures done. I booked Shelly 2 months prior, signed a contract, and paid in full. The day before pictures, Shelly text me to ask if we could reschedule because her son had a surfing competition. I agreed to move the date to accomadate her. We rebooked for a few days later. She said she would email info on our shoot that day, she never did. I had to text her several times a few days later, and didn't hear back until a few hours before our schedule photoshoot. She told me they had been shooting a wedding since 6am that morning. So she double booked my family session with an all day wedding. I was no longer confident that she or her husband would do an adequate job. She had lost my trust at that point, and she broke the contract, so I asked for a refund. She said she would have to mail it. It's been over a month, and they not only haven't sent me my refund, they will not respond to my text. I am beginning to think this business is a scam. read more

Absolutely in love with Shelly! My husband and I were visiting Hawaii back in September 2021 for our anniversary and Shelly was MORE than accommodating for our needs. We were staying in Maui and she flew to us from the Big Island which was so easy for us. She helped us with outfit choices, and even sent multiple locations that she's used before! We love her, and love her personality. For a couple who doesn't know how to pose, she helped us so much! Absolutely furious with my experience with this vendor. They are only available up until the day you sign the contract. After that, it takes several days or weeks to receive a return e-mail or phone call. We made the mistake of booking this photographer for our Hawaii trip. They didn't even bother to confirm the photoshoot. I had to call her the day of the shoot, and they didn't answer the phone. She called back and briefly mentioned that she was preparing to call me, but when you pay someone $600+ dollars for services, the least they could do is confirm the appointment the day before. Fast forward to the day the shoot was scheduled for on the contract. It rained, so the shoot had to be rescheduled, however she was booked for the rest of the week. Instead of refunding the payment for the services (and we had received absolutely none up until this point besides e-mails returned days to weeks later and a single phone call), she says that we would have to drive three hours across the island to meet her at a location for another photoshoot that she already had scheduled and would only return half of the deposit if we decided to cancel. They were willing and ready to keep $300+ dollars for responding to two (2) e-mails days to weeks after the initial correspondences were sent, a single phone call, and nothing else. We drove across the island (a three (3) hour drive that we absolutely did not want to make on what was supposed to be a family vacation) and were late to the time that she dictated as a result of the weather in combination with the distance. Leaving the location, she told us that she would send preview pictures the following Sunday. Didn't happen. We didn't hear from her again. I texted two weeks later to verify when we would be receiving our photo gallery. No response. I followed up again via e-mail a week later and she e-mailed back a snarky response saying that they don't maintain text communications after sessions and I should refer to my contract (the one that contains a date and location where the photoshoot was not held). The pictures were finally delivered today. The contract shows that they would be delivered within three (3) weeks, which per the date on the contract, would have been three days ago. It's clear that there was not very much effort that went into the editing process. There are even purple lines around my silhouette in some of the pictures. Others of the pictures are more about the background than the subjects and are pixelated when you zoom in. I shared six of the photos with one of my bridesmaids and her reaction was literally,"Where is the sun? Did she give you all a discount?" Embarrassing. I also shared them with another professional photographer and their commentary was, "Nothing is in focus. There is literally no focal point in any of these images." We paid for a sunset photoshoot and didn't receive a single shot of the sunset because she double-booked us with another group (which she walked right by us, while pretending not to know us the day of the photoshoot). Since their photoshoot was originally for that date, she was with them during the sunset, however she told us that her partner would be there to do sunset photos for us. The day of the photoshoot, she was there by herself and the partner was nowhere to be found. She came back over after the sunset, when it was essentially dark, and so we also have a few pictures where the moon is visible, but we are not exceedingly so when zooming in. We originally wanted to use these pictures for our wedding invitation, but between being reminded of the terrible experience and the picture quality, it absolutely will not happen. While I understand that you can't control the weather, you absolutely can control how you treat your clientele. This was a complete and absolute failure every step of the way from the lack of responsiveness and failure to confirm the booking all the way through to the final product. AVOID, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A BRIDE. THIS WILL JUST ADD MORE STRESS LEADING UP TO AND AFTER YOUR WEDDING. read more

I was worried about trying to plan a wedding from a different state, but Shelly and Max helped make the process easy. I trusted both Shelly and Max from the beginning and I am so glad my husband and I decided to work with them. Both captured GORGEOUS photos and videos of the day of the wedding and the next day during our second location photoshoot. Both Shelly and Max made me feel special and are so creative with what they do. I also really appreciated how dedicated and determined they were. I wish I could give Shelly more than 5 stars! She is absolutely amazing. I actually found her on Instagram and we were able to book her when we were visiting from Arizona. She went above and beyond messaging me with her thoughts on our outfit choices, locations, etc. She even drove out to the resort we stayed at and took some absolutely amazing shots.
