All you NJ Sea Hunt owners, beware!!! NJ Outboards is the…read moreworst. They had my boat for warranty issues, had no choice to bring it to them or haul it to LI or MD. The weekend prior to them picking it up, the motor went. Yes, a 2024 Yamaha f200 with 60 hrs on it went. It was filled with water. Anyway long story short, they had my boat for over a month, didn't take care of the issues that they were initially there for. And the motor took well over the 8hrs Craig Estelle, the service manager claimed it would take. it actually took over 10 days. When I get the boat back, it's all messed up. They destroyed 5 panels of sea deck, didn't do repairs, and my motor trim isn't working properly, or the gauge. To top it off Paul Gioe, the owner, blocks my emails. I sent all the managers an email demanding the repairs to be made. And Paul calls me and tells me " We are not working on your boat. You are no longer allowed to bring your boat here. We are not dealing with a Philadelphia wise guy." He also claimed the boat looked like that when they got it. And he has pictures. But he would not send me them. "I don't need to prove you anything." This is how they react when they mistreat customers property, and the customer wants it made right. Such a circus act over there. Just be careful. Yes this is my second review on the place, but I didn't take my own advice and go to Long Island or MD.

I had issues with my 25 HP ETec for years. I had a mobile service make the repair. They replaced…read morethe fuel pump and told me it went bad because of the bad gas. Every year for the next 3 years the mobile service came and replaced the fuel pump telling me it went bad because of bad gas. Finally the 4th year I replaced the fuel pump myself. When I went to Hance & Smythe to get oil I explained that the fuel pump had to be replaced the past 4 years. They said that makes no sense, they asked me a bunch of questions. And figured out that the fuel separator I installed was causing the problem. I removed the fuel separator and (knock on wood) haven't had an issue for the past 3 years. Thanks Hance & Smythe.

They installed the motor with all the controls, a Garmin Chart Plotter, my center board and painted the bottom. Before the installation I had water in my bulges every time I used the boat. Not a lot but enough that I had to clean it out each time. After the installation I noticed that the bulges are bone dry! This was an added bonus to the expert installation. Where ever the water was coming in they found it and eliminated it in the installation. I highly recommend Tuckerton Marine. Their prices are very good and the workmanship is outstanding. Let me start this review by saying that I have spent many summers renting wave runners in Ocean…read moreCity and was not worried about my ability to use the watercraft on the water. With that said, if I was a novice, I would have been terrified to get on the water. The inept group of high schoolers and college students that helped us get out were not confidence inspiring. The woman who checked us in told us to "be careful" multiple times and insisted that we watch the safety video. However, not five seconds after we had moved to the area where you watch the video did she tell us to go outside and get a life vest. I was shocked at the speed with which were were out on the water. Once at the end of the dock, the kid that checked us in explained no less than 3 times that "this is really dangerous" without any words of guidance or advice. I got the sense that they were just waiting for something bad to happen. Once we were out there, things were fine, although the definitely had too many people out there. We spent lots of time worrying about other riders coming up behind us or stopping short in front of us while the "staff" sat and talked on or near the path where customers are supposed to ride. Worst of all this was about $150/hour. If you are itching to use a wave runner on the bay, this place is probably your best bet. But for my money, I would drive to Marmora and rent some wave runners on the bay. I would love to give a local small business 5 stars but I just cannot in good conscious given the flippant manner in which our safety was treated.
