It is very nice to look at; functionally it didn't have as much seating as I would have liked and the ability to find a workspace that met my teleworking needs was not ideal. The outlets I tried to plug into did not work. The front door was also a little janky; they ended up propping it open. I don't have much use for printed materials but this is an actual library that does have books and magazines, and people were walking out with DVDs. It is a great resource for the community but it did seem from my experience that it needed a little update/maintenance.

They also offer an outdoor seating area with outlets. Most of the library has natural light and the tables are spread out, which prevents sitting too closely to someone else. They have a bookstore as well as a clearance section near the entrance., these books have been marked down to $1. As you can tell I'm a regular. What can I say, it's a multiple purpose library! They also have a very secure vault with the original films from Disney, Columbia Pictures, Warner Brothers, and more. Tours are offered every year during their Open House. Every Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday evening, the public can see old school movies in their beautifully-designed theatre in their lobby. Movie screenings are free! If you have the chance, go outside to see the giant pool surrounding the brutalist architecture.

This library is one of several locations in Prince William County set up for absentee voting. A side entrance to the library - on the left hand side of the building is used for this activity - I'm assuming so as to not disrupt the normal everyday activities of library patrons.

Every bit of research I had to conduct at the library had a successful outcome, during my remote work days there. The staff I encountered were courteous and competent. While I have resolved my need for high speed Internet, I must say I was highly impressed with the quality of the library every time I was here. Having the Fairfax County library system to compare it to, I must give the effort here to deliver exemplary services FIVE stars. This was earned for sure. I donated each time I went, and will continue to do so, as fundraising is important to continue providing library services.

In today's tight economic times, the library can provide an outlet at no cost. You don't even have to live within the county to become a member.
