They also offer an outdoor seating area with outlets. Most of the library has natural light and the tables are spread out, which prevents sitting too closely to someone else. They have a bookstore as well as a clearance section near the entrance., these books have been marked down to $1. As you can tell I'm a regular. What can I say, it's a multiple purpose library! Don't tell anyone but normally I bring lunch here and eat outside lol don't judge me! #Nerd life!

The school will tell you how safe their campus is with hundreds of cameras everywhere keeping them safe and protected. But when your daughter gets assaulted in the quad suddenly there's no footage of the assault and the star athlete that attacked her has zero consequences and the police reports disappear and they try to make it all go away and pretend that it didn't happen. this all happened years ago, but my daughter still has physical and mental trauma, including severe migraine. It'll probably last her the rest of her life and the university could care less the way we were treated was disgusting. we are reminded every day of the injustice that occurred on this campus when we see our daughter in pain almost a decade later. stay away from this corrupt institution

This campus is cleaner, nicer. But it is smaller, and is often quiet and deserted on weekends. The library is usually empty on weekends. It's a good place to study. There's no public parking.. only temporary parking.. if you're gonna be there more than 1 or 2 hours.. you have to pay.

This Library is very cool!…read more This was my first time visiting this library and I was very impressed with how aesthetically pleasing it looks on the inside, how many breakout rooms there were, a gaming room, separated area's for children's play, teenagers, study space/working space, lounge space for older patrons with bigger lounge chairs, etc. I spent about 2 hours here with some children and they very much enjoyed the children's learning area. There were magnetic busy boards, busy games, wall games, magnetic dominos, puppets, magnetic people mix and match, and the books! While here, I noticed people of all ages, ethnicities and abilities enjoying the services of the library. It was very clean and I was impressed with the spread of variety of things for different groups. There were DnD groups renting out rooms, coders, puzzlers, arts and crafters, and much more. It was a very pleasant and safe experience, we will visit again.

I still needed to get some work done for the day before heading home to Richmond when I found this library on Yelp. I love all the seating options and different rooms in this library. I found a quiet corner with a great desk near an outlet to finish up work for the day. The wifi was strong and I enjoyed all the natural lighting. Although I didn't browse the books, it seemed like they had a lot of variety. I enjoyed taking a peek at their new releases/recommended books at the front. It's a great library to pass some time at.

The ambience is amazing and among the best of any bookstore I've been to. They have several comfortable chairs and couch spaces to sit and read. I brought my coffee and read the synopses of a few books while I was deciding which ones to buy. The books are very well sorted categorically and also alphabetically. They have a great selection of books in several genres - all for unbelievably great prices! I ended up buying two thriller books and will return to buy board games and more books sometime. This library is one of several locations in Prince William County set up for absentee voting. A side entrance to the library - on the left hand side of the building is used for this activity - I'm assuming so as to not disrupt the normal everyday activities of library patrons.

It seems more like a community center than a library because of the noise. It seems to be always noisy. They have one small study room that you can reserve. The seats at the tables are hard and uncomfortable. The internet computers here require users to reserve a computer at a central computer by entering last name and library card number. Then you find the computer you reserved and have to re-enter name and card #. This is annoying. Moreover, you cannot select which computer you want to use. Other libraries I have been to in Virginia allow you to choose and computer and log on to it directly! The lighting in this library is not good for computer use.

It is in a nice new building that is shared with Albemarle County. There are county ESOL offices upstairs and the county warehouse downstairs. Northside has a vast selection of books and other materials. You can do everything from check out a book to check out an internet hotspot for school work. Have kids and want to go to the Virginia Discovery Museum? You can pick up free passes here. The same is true for Va State Parks. The State Park kit includes a backpack with educational activities for kids. Interested in sewing or embroidery? Northside has maker kits that can be checked out as well. One of the services that I use are their meeting rooms. You can check out meeting spaces for 2 hours at a time. They are enclosed spaces with up to 4 people. It has an exterior monitor for presentations with multiple inputs. Don't want to come inside, no worries... they have drive up window to pick up and drop off books. Don't want to do that either? They have a great digital library where you don't have to leave your couch. If you want it, Northside has it!
