Stay was for 1 night on Monday March 6. Parking is plentiful and free with lots of lighting in the open lot. If it's raining you can drive up the back entrance and they have a covered porch to unload without getting wet. Check in is easy at the lobby with friendly staff but their app check in is currently not working properly so keep that in mind and plan ahead. Rooms are not outdated as stated in other reviews, they are actually very updated with all of the necessary plugins for connectivity etc. Television Internet Tv accessible (Netflix, Prime etc) just to name a few. Wine chillers, coffee makers, ice buckets and comfy bedding makes this room a home away from home. 4th floor houses the Sheraton Lounge accessible by coded key based on your Marriott Bonvoy Elite status. They offer snacks, drinks and a business work lounge. Breakfast is served downstairs now and is free for the Marriott Bonvoy Elite folks and $18 for everyone else, this is on top of your 1k points not in place of. I've been here a few times and haven't had any issues besides my room keypad not working because the battery was out but I was back in my room about 15-20 minutes after I contacted the front desk. Tip: Rooms are dark so if that little blue light from the wine chiller bothers you, grab a towel, fold it in half and cover it lol simple fix.

Walking into the hotel, it was quiet and very clean. We waited in line to check in which the guest services, D, was amazing! She made the check in process a breeze and stress free. The hotel has a snack area, lunch service, dinner service and full bar. The bar and restaurant opens for the second shift at 4pm On the floor of our room it was quiet and felt like we were the only ones there. I did get waken up around 6 when some ones door slammed really hard but other than that the room itself was pleasant, Spacious, clean with full size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion. The room also comes with a mini fridge, coffee and tea Never stayed at a Sheraton before this and I might just have to try another location

It is a very nice place, recently I had to wait while they were taking an exam there, it is a very comfortable place.

It is a very nice place, recently I had to wait while they were taking an exam there, it is a very comfortable place, you can eat, sit and read and even if you need to have a small meeting it is possible, the toilet and service staff in general are provided with a very good attitude, without a doubt you will have a very pleasant experience

Wine fridge/night light.

Staff is friendly and the hotel is clean, but hard to get a good night's sleep. Walls are paper thin with likely no soundproofing and the doors slam shut, so you will be woken up every time someone on your floor goes in/out. If you are afraid of the dark, no problem! The geniuses at this hotel installed glass door wine fridges with a bright led display right next to your bed! Blue light is the exact light that keeps people awake. This type of fridge is meant for a kitchen or a man cave, not a hotel room. A complete bonehead rookie move there folks. I won't be back.

Hotel AND Event Center

My entire stay was A+ They are a hotel and event center. There is PLENTY of free parking. Check in & out was a breeze. Room was awesome. Bar & restaurant on site. I attended an event in their Throckmorton Room, so it was nice to take the elevator home :-) No complaints. My exact reason for 5-Stars....Please Pay Attention Other Hotels.....the lighted vanity mirror in the restroom. In 2018, I have spent 39 nights in a hotel. They have all had HD TVs, comfy beds, soft linens, fluffy towels, toiletries, coffee, hot showers & friendly staff. This is The Only property that had a useful accessory I use daily....a vanity mirror!!! I know ladies are out there spending $$ at hotels....this Sheraton acknowledges lady-niceities. Spend your $$ where your $$ is recognized.

This is what our room looked like for the remaining 4nights of our stay. Smeared make up foundation.

My husband and I are SPG members and we booked this hotel for 5 consecutive nights. We came in town to visit my family and this hotel sparked our interest because of the location and distance from Historic DownTown McKinney. It's a nice good looking hotel and it smells deliciously clean as you walk in. The decor is modern Chic and very well taken care of. However, I stepped on the border line of the carpet and floor and I pricked my foot on something sharp that I called front desk and placed a request for them to cone in and take care of that. My husband and I left the room so that the engineer could come in and work on the request. When we cane back the same thing happened, I picked my foot and it did look like the engineer came in and worked on it with what he could, but the problem was not resolved. We had also ordered extra towels and shampoo/conditioner. Which they did not comply, so my hubby had to go down stairs (literally stairs bc the elevator was broken) and had to request the front desk, which they s not him bank up and told him housekeeping would stop by and drop them off. The second day, we requested extra shampoos and conditioners, I have waist down long thick hair and a tiny travel size bottle does me no favors. Also with the scorched big Texas heat, I take two- three showers a day, I know right ‍‍. I was shocked to not see the requested items in our bathroom waiting for our arrival back to our room. So here we go again, we take a trip back down to front desk to get those items. I don't know about you, but when I come back to my hotel room, after a long and fun day, the last thing you want to do is chase shampoo and conditioner. On the third day I accidentally broke my foundation, it slipped off my hand as I was shaking it and it landed on the floor. I called and warned them about possible unseen shattered glass. I mentioned to them that I cleaned up what I could but it would need to be cleaned and vacuumed just in case. The first thing they ask me was if anyone was hurt, which was a nice touch and it made me feel comforted. The bad thing is, their maid did a sloppy job with the cleaning up. I have attached a pic of the after clean area and the sloppy job that was done. So 2 and a half days passed by and no one ever bothered to wipe down the trash can that was smeared with foundation, or the sink and part of the wall. That just made me feel concern bc what that tells me is that they do not clean the trash cans (it's awful enough that they do not use trash bags on them) so all they are doing is emptying out the garbage (that's plain gross). Also there was doggy poo on the entrance sidewalk that was there the day after we checked in and the morning of our check out. Bacteria does not sleep on weekends. There was also hairs smeared on the shower wall. I just washed it down with water but that was gross. I'm not sure if they are short on staff or just simply don't give two hoops about their guest. We will not return to this hotel again, that's for sure. On top of that their front desk staff seemed to be in their own little bubble. The only person that greeted us as we would come back to our hotel was the lady on the far left register.

Hotel appearance and interior is nice, but the service is mediocre. We have never had a problem with any of our stays elsewhere, with getting extra shampoos or conditioners. Apparently the front desk does not relate the requested info to housekeeping or there seems to be a language barrier there. My wife and I stayed at this location fir 5nights and we booked it under our SPG account. We also had the option to save 15%off thru Yelp. We had two occasional problems during our stay. One was a sharp object sticking out of the carpet right where the floor and carpet meet. My wife pricked her foot, not once but TWICE. We called front desk and they had an engineer

We had the best service ever from Elizabeth in the bar! She was AMAZING and took THE BEST care of us!! 5 stars!!!!

This hotel was great! Bonvoy hotels seem to be stepping it up. Checking in was easy and the concierge, Angel, was fabulous. The guest services aspect that stood out the most was how responsive staff was to texting their main line. Angel asked how the room was after arriving, if anything was needed, and the following day when I had questions, they were helpful and attentive. For breakfast there are two options, $10 for a continental with cold options, baked goods, fruit and yogurt. Or $14 for all of that plus any of the hot items like eggs, home fries, biscuits and gravy etc. I chose the $14 and it was great! There were a few hot sauce and salsa options and service was good too. I worked out at the gym and found it to be clean, with plenty of equipment. You look out towards to pool which is great if you're a parent to keep an eye on kids. The lobby is sleek and contemporary and the bar was pretty busy both night. The room was clean and modern, shower was large and there was lots of space to hang clothes set up suitcases. Great stay, I recommend but I just wish there was a fridge and a hand steamer!

My grandma is 89 and almost fell off of the toilet when she was trying to get up, because of the seat shifting. I called the front desk and asked if the toilet could be fixed and were told we could be moved to a different room. They didn't have another room with two queens but we were moved to a king suite that included a sofa bed. I was very happy for the sofa bed because the regular beds here are super firm (not my favorite). The room overall was clean with a few things that need a little updating / cleaning (drawers in the kitchenette were dirty inside, door hinges were rusty) but the linens and bathroom were very clean and well stocked. The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, both at the front desk and the breakfast area. We were able to check in early which was amazing. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with a nice variety; having biscuits and gravy two days in a row made my grandma's trip lol. The indoor pool area is nice - the hot tub gets a little nuts when no one is in there lol. It looked like a wave pool! One minor complaint is the faucet for the sink sticks out in a way that you can't wash your face without almost hitting your head. There are several restaurants in the area, and a Walmart is back behind the hotel. We had no issues with parking and were not towed. I did see several couples walking from their car in the hotel parking lot to the Mexican restaurant, but not sure if they were towed or not. Overall I would stay here again if I was in the area for a couple of days.

There was an obvious sign inside, we were verbally advised where not to park, and there was an obvious sign outside, so maybe the parking info has been improved. There was also excellent lighting outside that made my daughter and I feel safe parking. I was REALLY lit up out there. The location was so close to the cute downtown. It took us about 7 minutes to get there, if that. The breakfast was great! Make your own waffles, assorted bagels, breads and muffins, a high quality yogurt with many toppings available, and cereals. Eggs, biscuits and gravy, and bacon. Oatmeal, a few kinds of juice, sparkling flavored water. A really fun coffee machine with lattes, cappacinos, regular coffee, and a mocha coffee. Apples, tangerines and bananas too. The food service area was kept well stocked and was very clean. There is a small store with different foods, snacks and items you might need while traveling, and also a vending machine. The only negative was the thin walls. You can hear quite a bit from other rooms but that has been a common issue in many hotels in my experience (I was a flight attendant for 16 years). Ear plugs would be a good idea if you are a light sleeper. The hotel staff has been really nice to us from check in to the cleaning staff and breakfast staff. We would definitely stay here again.

We were finishing breakfast with our pregnant daughter and her 2 small children. A homeless man came in and walked over to help himself to the free breakfast. (Which had already been shut down and cleaned up) I quickly realized no one and I mean NO ONE was attempting to stop him from entering this area. It was a woman all by herself managing the entrance. I was looking at her expecting her to pick up a phone to call the police or get someone to address this. I even mouthed to her she needed to remove him. Since nothing was happening and I was fearing for my families safety I had already gotten them up and was heading them back to our rooms. Am I the only person aware of the random stabbings and aggressive assaults against vulnerable people that have been taking place across the country?? Later that day as we were leaving I approached the front desk to express my disbelief that this was allowed to happen. The Manager, as he told me that was who he was, told me it was the first time he was hearing about it. Please be aware when you stay at this Marriott that obviously the safety of their guests is not a priority here. What we were given was a room with an old stained bathtub, albeit with handrails. Oh, and the overhead light in bathroom was out but since it was after 3:00, there were no maintenance to replace. Then we could not get the TV to work. Called the desk clerk for assistance. She did not have a clue. My husband is good with stuff like that so after about 15 minutes he figured out what had happened. Very frustrating. Breakfast the next morning was a joke. We went to the breakfast area around 8:00. Nothing left but one piece of shriveled up sausage and a few eggs that looked like they had been there since 6:00! Thankfully, there was a McDonald's across the street. ROACHES & DISHONESTY!…read more I booked this place during an emergency, and trust me, I will NEVER make that mistake again. The hotel clearly relies on guests who don't have many options, because anyone with standards would walk right back out. I wasn't in the room long before I saw roaches. Not a single one. Enough to tell me exactly what kind of property this was. I kept my composure, waited until the front desk finished with another guest, and explained the situation quietly. The clerk (PATEL) knew the deal immediately. He even tried to kill the roaches himself. I told him not to bother, because I was leaving. He assured me my cancellation was fine and my money would be returned. I shouldn't have had to think twice about that. But apparently that level of honesty is above this hotel's pay grade. They refunded the deposit but still tried to charge me for the full stay, even though I didn't stay there. Then came the excuses. First I "stayed the entire time." When that didn't hold up, suddenly I was "eating in the room." Then magically there were "no roaches," even though I have photos, videos, and the clerk literally hunting one down in front of me. It was embarrassing to watch them scramble. Booking.com reached out to them to simply drop the charge down to one night, which would have been the standard policy. The hotel stopped responding altogether. They wanted the full amount, and they didn't care how they got it. Thankfully, I paid through Klarna. Klarna stepped in and handled the mess this hotel created. If I had paid this place directly, they absolutely would have kept my money and lied the whole way through. I waited until the entire situation was resolved before writing this, but people deserve to know exactly what they're walking into. The hotel is dirty, dishonest, and the customer service reflects it. I booked here out of urgency, not preference. Next time I'll stick to the level of hotels I'm used to, because this one proved exactly why it sits at the bottom. Photos will be posted with this review.

When I called hours later, I was told they were already thrown in the trash. Most hotels have a 30-day lost-and-found policy; discarding a guest's valuable property on the same day is negligent. Guest relations has been dismissive. Between the 'bait and switch' on the room and the destruction of my property, I would strongly advise staying elsewhere. Corporate has been notified. BBB IS next!
