There are plenty of benches for weary caregivers to rest while the kids run around and burn off that endless supply of energy. There are two play structures, both with slides and an array of climbing structures separated by a fence. One side for tots and one for older kids. There's a substantial set of swings (6 total - one for all ages). The playground is adjacent to a set of large baseball fields, tennis and basketball courts. There is no parking lot but I've never had trouble finding an on street space on beautiful LaGrange street. Its proximity to the plenty of shops and restaurants along Centre Street lend to making the visit to the playground a multi-purpose outing. I know how much effort it took to get the kids loaded up and out the door - so let's make the most of it! While it can get busy, it's never been so overwhelmingly crowded that my introverted personality couldn't handle it. I've always been very comfortable with the amount of kids and guardians. This is our favorite playground in the city so far, it has become our regular spot.

The Big Kids who are unruly, entitled, and rude as hell will push the little ones around or rush and run around so quickly that they knock over the toddlers like bowling pins. Their parents will see and witness this going down and after each incident, will announce - "Well, it's time to go home." No apologies will ever be said or given, which honestly just says so much more about the parents than their kids. Kids are gonna be kids, but they're often reflective of their parents. ANYWAY - the play structure itself is decent. Go on a weekday, not weekend. Stay watchful of entitled Newtonian Moms.

Icons of the Revolution and Boston history (Red-coated soldiers, Faneuil Hall, Colonial Fife and Drummers, Paul Revere, and Colonial minutemen fighters) join other American history icons from Boston, New York, Philadelphia (Liberty Bell, Statue of Liberty, Bald Eagle, Horse and Buggy, a mining town) to populate the 18 holes of this very cool miniature golf course that does a good job of combining fun and a history lesson for the kiddies. Now look, Myrtle Beach Mini Golf this ain't. No state-of-the-art fancy-schmancy mini golf holes here.  No water hazards, no spinning windmill blades, no motion/movement hazards, no high altitude mountains or volcanos, no pirate ships, no dinosaurs, no jungle rain forests, no bells and whistles. This is a pretty basic design of a course that looks like it's been around a while Some of the greens showed signs of age. Quite a few of the greens were heavy with water, and on Hole #7, we had a few balls stuck on an underground ramp that required the attendant to hustle over and ream them out. But, a lot of those factors are evened out by the rock bottom pricing $8 for adults and $6 for kids under 12 you'll pay here for a few hours of fun.Our 4fur and six year old golfers couldn't care less about the lack of modern technology at the Village Green. It…read morehas a full size basketball and tennis court, a big grassy field for whatever you want to do on a big grassy field, a pretty big fenced-in play-scape with swings, climbing ropes, a tandem slide, pull up bars, and a lovely perimeter garden that's maintained by local volunteers. Today we saw kids playing tennis, toddlers and young children playing on the swings and climbing ropes, and a group of folks flinging a tennis ball in a long distance game of fetch, as their dog went tearing after the ball and returning it to be flung again. One nice feature we saw at the play-scape was a collection of park-owned child-sized wagons and vehicles for the toddlers to play with. We brought our grand-daughter over for a visit and she had a blast climbing, swinging, riding and watching the dog running around. All of us had a really nice visit.
