Beautiful park where you can walk through the woods to the pond in the back, then sit down and enjoy watching nature. For younger kids there is a playground and so much more. Highly recommend. read more

Awesome walking trails and beautiful scenery- especially great for those with mobility issues or strollers

I love Bird Park. Bird Park is (by far), my favorite park.... And ironically it's only 10 minutes from my house! Amazing park sitting in a huge area in East Walpole straddling along hilly Washington Street, Polley Ln, Pleasant Street, and Rhoades Avenue. Always a guaranteed spot for a good walk. Pets are allowed and never trash around. Lots of "whatever", hills, tree lined trails, woodsy trails, and bright, open areas. They additionally have 2 small lake areas and a stream running through the park. Definitely a place to stop in the area! Parking: There are 3 parking lots. 1. Polley Ln lot -- Right on Polley Ln, near the Old Post 4-Way Stop. 2. Cramped Pleasant St Lot -- For Kids Structures -- On Pleasant Street near the fork with Moose Hill Rd 3. Rhoades Ave Lot -- Directly next to Church, and is also cramped at some points throughout the day read more

This is a beautiful park to take a walk in. There's a playground for children (or the young at heart) and people often take their dogs here as well. I'd recommend taking a walk here on the 89 acre property, cared for the trustees of reservations. read more

This hidden gem was sitting across from us as we had dinner. We decided to see what kind of park this was and was immediately impressed with the size and walking paths. The playground has something for kids of all ages. The older kids might want to bring a soccer ball to kick around the open field, a basketball for the courts or a football to toss. There are picnic tables and various places to sit and relax. Can't wait to bring the family again. read more

I love this park. I have a young baby and it is the perfect place to stroll and explore. There are plenty of stroller friendly paths, babbling streams, shade trees, and a pond with geese. The play area is large and well maintained. It's a perfect place to bring a picnic and spend an afternoon. read more

The only reason I'm giving this 3 stars is because I read on many websites that this park was stroller friendly in the paved areas. Unfortunately it's not smooth, even with an off road jogging stroller. If there's even an opportunity to re-pave these paths they should definitely cinder how many more people would go there if they make the paths smooth and even. I'll revisit this park when my baby is older and old enough to go to the playground. read more

Never fails when I am looking for somewhere to get outside and do a few loops without driving far at all and without the need to strap on the hiking shoes. Always well maintained and clean. Love the open areas and also the trails that offer a more wooded feel. Water features are nice and the bridges add a great touch. If you want to stay on the paths, that is great but also off path there are nice area to explore. read more

Growing up in East Walpole in the 50's and 60's was highlighted by the fun and freedom of Bird Park; especially the frog pond which was a stream filled public swimming pool shaped like a pond with an island in the middle with several bronze frogs as a fountain and a Dam which was for daredevil diving and frolicking....there was even a stone open roof bathhouse separated by a covered foyer; one side boys the other girls (sure). The pool was drained Maybe every two weeks to clean it with a fire hose and then refill it only wth the cold stream or brook running straight thru the pool.....no filters no life guards but a local cop was always nearby as a watchman; So glad to hear the park is in good hands and well appreciated Rocky D'Entremont class of 62. read more
