When my husband & I met Stevi for the first time while looking for an engagement/wedding photographer, we both immediately felt comfortable with her. She is personable & down to earth. Another (big) bonus: she loves dogs & was excited about including our pup in our photos. Not only that, but her prices were incredibly competitive & fair. They worked wonderfully as a team & were both genuinely funny, kind, & helpful - they helped out so much & did things they didn't even have to: offering a bobby pin, helping bustle my dress, grabbing a glass of water for my Grandpa, just keeping us all generally on schedule, & the list could go on. I was so grateful for their help & positive attitudes. I know they both played a huge role in our day going so smoothly. One of the biggest plusses I must mention about Stevi is that her turn around time is incredible. I have friends who have waited up to 4 months for their wedding photos. Stevi aims for 2 weeks, which is seriously impressive. With both our engagement photos & wedding photos, Stevi met that goal. We received over 1,000 photos of our wedding day, and we love all of them, as do our parents, wedding party, and friends. So I found Kari Renee Photography through an ad on Facebook. She was giving a promotion for $1,000…read morefor just her as my wedding photographer and a 2nd photographer for about another $500. I also paid an additional $200 to have her come a couple hours sooner to take some pictures during my traditional string ceremony we have before the church service. This is a very great deal for two photographers and after reviewing her website: https://www.karireneephotography.com/ the pictures looks great to me so I got her booked. Throughout the month, we have communicated to ensure we are both on the same page and she had me send her a schedule of everything that we need the photographer. The day PRIOR to my wedding, she said she had a family emergency and cannot make it to the wedding, but per contract, she found a replacement. To me, that was fine about finding a replacement and I understand there being a family emergency, but I asked her if the replacement is still able to arrive a couple hours early to take pictures during my string ceremony since I paid her already and she wasn't sure. I asked if the 2nd photographer is able to attend early and she advised she hasn't secured a 2nd photographer but she is working on it! This really got me stressed as the 2nd photographer is not secured and now I may not be able to have a photographer for my string ceremony...I consistently checked my messages throughout the day as I'm preparing for my wedding and finally I get a message to confirm a photographer can attend my string ceremony and a 2nd photographer is secured! She asked me for the wedding day schedule again so I resend it, not a big deal... The day of my wedding, the photographer did show up for the string ceremony, and I asked the replacement photographer if she will be there for the ceremony at the church which she said yes. After the ceremony, I realized NO PHOTOGRAPHER SHOWED UP! I was very upset as I had my mom and grandma involved during the ceremony and I wanted to get some professional pictures of them as my grandma is starting to lose her memory! I was very upset about this as I now have not gotten any professional pictures during my entire ceremony even though I confirmed with the photographer that she would be there about an hour prior before the start of the ceremony! I messaged Karee about this and checked up on it and said there was a miscommunication with the photographers! She said the replacement photographer will "make it up" to me by working from 3-9pm at the reception instead of 3-7pm which I was confused about because I have paid to have both photographers there for the entire reception until 9pm...I was already going through so many stress during my wedding and that I didn't care to argue...I told my other friends about my experience who are photographers and all of them advised that if they made a mistake this big of missing my wedding, that they would reimburse me which I wasn't offered any type of compensation at all. I also found out that it was the 2nd photographer that should have been the one to take my wedding pictures and not the 1st photographer... Fast forward months later, Karee offered me a free photoshoot for anywhere I like and I assumed it was to make up for a photographer missing my wedding ceremony. I gladly accepted and asked if I can actually gift it to my friend who is pregnant to do a maternity and new born photoshoot. Karee advised those shoots require more work so there will be a fee but the offer was $400 which was an amazing deal but my friend would have to drive from Vancouver, WA to Eugene to do the shoot which my friend accepted. My friend booked a hotel, bought the maternity outfit, and had everything planned to go pick up her daughter. Then on the day of the shoot, my friend calls me crying and advised that Kari cancelled a few hours before her shoot! Before the shoot, my friend said Kari asked if she is able to change the photoshoot date as it was her birthday...my friend said she cannot change it as she needed the shoot be on that specific date she wanted (which is why I confirmed prior before giving Kari contact information to my friend if she was available to do it...) Even with the bad experience though, my wedding pictures turned out to be amazing; but it would just be if you would like to take a chance on somebody cancelling on you last minute or nobody showing up.

That was my experience with Bruce last year at my friend's wedding and reception in Florence, OR. I saw him at work and I saw the pictures he took. Let me tell you, Bruce did an awesome job!. His pictures tell the story of a man and woman in love and how their families and friends came together to celebrate! Sure, there were a few posed pictures (all wedding have those) but I would say most of the time he was bouncing around getting the action as it was happening. Even have time to eat some good food too! I believe what impressed me the most was the fact that Bruce is friendly and very accommodating. Having initially met with a female employee who helped her describe her creative likes and dislikes, interests and personality, my sis was able to give her opinions about the type and style of photos and photo session she wanted. There were certainly lots of choices, styles and options available! Amazingly, Bruce was able to create and capture wonderful pictures of a teenager who dislikes being subjected to family photo sessions, and often refuses to smile or even look remotely engaged or approachable for the camera. The man is talented (and great with surly teens, apparently!). My sis is a photographer herself, and she really liked "talking shop" with Bruce during her session. I helped plan my sister's outfits, makeup and hair styling as well as offering my opinion with mom about which photos should be selected for the final prints. The difference in the experience between my senior photos and my sister's was significant. Bruce's business catered to making my sis feel like a mini-celebrity. Small details like a sign on the dressing room door with her name on it, a small basket of wardrobe fixers, bottled water, and extras were waiting her in the dressing room. Having an indoor studio with lots of decor ideas, and having Bruce take some lovely outdoor photos in some really cool scenery/backdrops was unexpected and fun. The decision-making was the toughest element of the whole process. The screening room was a great place to look at all the photos, and the woman who assisted us was patient, friendly and very nice, considering it took us awhile to reach a decision. Yes, the photos and packages are pricey, but the quality of the photos and the whole experience was priceless.
