I get that you're way too busy to find out why because of the amount of patients and PA's that come and go so quickly! It would take a days work to find out! You're way to busy following up with patients (not) to see how their doing after you farm them out to other Doc's to do your work for you! I'm Stage 4 Liver Fibrosis, did you know that? Not until now! I had to ask my endocrinologist for the test because you kept telling me my liver was fine! The practice should be shut down for lack of trustworthy care by the practicing physicians! I should have left them on my own a long time ago. They have no real plan for your health problems and when you ask them for something, they give every reason to not give it. They have taken on WAAAY too many patients. Their phone wait times are horrendous. Much of their staff is rude. I went 17 days straight asking for a prescription change as my insurance no longer covered the inhaler form. I kept being told 'I'll tell the doctor' Still haven't gotten anything. So, I received a letter in May that they no longer take my insurance. I called HIighmark and they said of course SMG does. I call back to SMG who sates "Blue Cross Blue Shield keeps changing the numbers and confusing us." Also, that as far as she could tell. "They did not accept it." They are unorganized. They have not improved my health. They have not responded to much of what I asked for. In the end, it't better this way. I have a new doctor. read more

I see Kari Ann , PA when I go there and she is great. She is very thorough and answers all your questions. She discusses your plan of care in terms you can understand and shares your insight to incorporate this into your plan of care. Absolutely love this group. Not only are they amazingly gifted dealing with their patients, but they are also fast and efficient. What a wonderful place to go for medical care. If you call with a question they answer it quickly and often follow up with a call. When you go to the office for a visit you are seen on time by the doctor or someone else who knows all the details of your case. I feel very safe and secure in their care. If you're looking for a great medical group with men and women who really care about you then I highly recommend Sheridan Medical Group. Finding a physician and team who supports them that you also get along with is a lifelong struggle. Eureka! I have found mine! Dr. Carlson is wonderful. He listens and is actually interested in making sure he understands you and more importantly that you understand HIM! Thankfully I only need to see him 1x a year or even less but every time I do it's a pleasant experience. His PA Lauren Condrasky is MY FAVORITE provider EVER. She is a breath of fresh air in the healthcare space and SMG is very fortunate to have her. I would follow her to any practise she moved to but hoping that never happens! The front desk staff leaves a little bit to be desired but don't let that stop you from coming in for your visits. It is a very difficult place to work (I've worked in healthcare all my life) and I understand the challenges they face. It's management who needs to review policy/procedure and training that could really help tip this to a 5 star review. Parking is easy, lobby and restrooms are clean, and they are overall a pleasant group of folx. read more

I used to love coming here, but in the recent months it seems like it's getting harder and harder to get an appointment when an urgent matter comes up. I was under Dr. Stricher's care before she left. I got transferred to Dr. Kramer but now she's left too. I've been only under their care for 2 years and it's kind of ridiculous that I'm already on my third doctor transfer. The staff doesn't seem to grasp that not everyone can just drop their work and come in when a non-emergency issue comes up. I was asked to come in at 1pm and when I persistently told them I can't because I have important matters at work to attend to, they kept insisting that I can get a doctor's note. I could have gotten out at work at 3 pm or 4 pm and been there in time for an appointment during normal business hours. I also gave them options on other days because my issue isn't life-threatening and they don't have anything tomorrow or Monday either apparently. Because they can't give me an appointment at reasonable times, I've now been forced to go to urgent care multiple times for a persistent health issue that should have been treated by my primary until I waited the 8 weeks to see a specialist. I now had to go to urgent care for another illness. The salt in the wound is when the nurses follow up with you after your urgent care visits and try telling you that they always have same day appointments and a doctor on call. Oh, speaking of the nurse's calls. They're super unorganized. I got a call from a nurse from SMG an hour after I was treated at urgent care. This was before my prescription for an infection was even ready. I've gotten calls after I've called and took the liberty of having a follow up in my own hands. I feel like most of the time things are not marked in my chart and that there is no consistency in their organization. I am dumbfounded at how professionals can be like this in regards to medical problems. You're toying with people's quality of life or their lives themselves. I will be looking for a new primary doctor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I had enough of this bulls*it with the Sheridan Medical Group. UPDATE: My mom (who's on my HIPPAA Form and is authorized to talk to them) called because I'm sick and I've been at work all day. She had the pleasure of talking to Shanique, one if the nurses there. She was blatantly rude to my mom and told her not to talk until she's finished talking. Then she tried blaming the issue on me because they offered me an appointment at 11 am or 1 pm today. read more

Dr Richard Carlson is the worst doctor....My mom was hospitalized and then went to rehab. The day after she got out of rehab I took her to "Dr" Carlson for a follow up appt. I expressed to him my concerns consisting of shortness of breath, low temp, etc....his answer to me regarding my concerns about my mom's issues was "she's 88, she will have good days and bad days"....no suggestions on seeing a specialist or a referral. I took my mom to a cardiologist even though Carlson didn't feel it was necessary. Three weeks later my mom died...I feel Carlson was negligent and perhaps something could be done for my mom before it got to be too late. STAY AWAY FROM THIS "DR"....HE DOESNT CARE ABOUT HIS PATIENTS!!!!!! IT'S TOO LATE FOR MY MOM BUT MAY NOT BE FOR YOU!!!!! ****I wish I could give him minus stars**** read more

I've seen KariAnn for a problem I've been having for about 10 years or so. She has so far been the only person who offered me anything aside from general advice that I got online and have *already tried*. And it actually radically reduced the problem. My quality of life is SO MUCH BETTER since that change I can't even believe it. Also she did my pap smear and wasn't rude/judgey about my sexuality. I've also seen Shawn for a different, more acute issue. They got me in to my preferred time in a reasonable timeframe. He was pretty thorough going through the possible causes for and the fix he came up with worked pretty quick too. For some of the other reviews...well I've worked at a couple of doctor's offices. The first morning appoint, the first after lunch appointment and last appointments of the day are the first to go. It's honestly sometimes really difficult to get someone in at their preferred time, esp on short notice. Esp. at a primary care where there are a lot more people trying to schedule urgent/same day appointments. Sometimes you have to take what you can get. I completely agree though, the staff SHOULDN'T be rude to you. I haven't had that problem with anyone there, but that doesn't mean my experience is universal. Also, problems with phone times and hold times and wait times - they're not really the staffs fault. If you're having problems with that you need to complain to the office manager - otherwise nothing will change. I guarantee you that the front line staff can do literally nothing about it and are probably complaining about it constantly too. read more

I am in the process of looking for another practice. I do not like the doctor I'm seeing because he always seems to be in a hurry. I haven't had a urine test for a couple of years. (I am a senior citizen). The phone system is not good at all. I don't have any problem with the office staff and I have never been asked to leave even though I have canceled a couple of appts. I just feel I don't get good care here. I know what good care is from previous doctors I have had and this doesn't campare. read more

I have been going to Sheridan Drive Medical group for 12 years. I trust them. Dr. Carlson is brilliant, patient, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and kind. Kari Ann Wolmers is positively GLORIOUS !! I have been going to PA's for years. The office staff does an outstanding job. They are courteous, professional, accurate, patient and kind. I understand completely that good health is about personal responsibility. My health care providers can not wave a magic wand and make me well. I must exercise everyday, lose my extra weight, cope with stress in healthy ways like meditation and spirituality. I am profoundly grateful to Dr. Carlson for creating such a lovely practice. I've was a patient here for several years, I missed an annual physical because i was on vacation, and forgot about the appointment. When I tried to reschedule I got a call from them saying that I am no longer a patient there. They cited that their policy is that patients will not miss appointments, and cited that i have rescheduled appointments in the past. I've never heard of anything so ridiculous. read more

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Carlson for two years. His care is fine. But trying to get a prescription refilled is a huge task for Sheridan Medical Group. Multiple times scrips were supposed to be called in. didn't happen. My pharmacy (who I trust far more than Sheridan Medical Group) told me they called the Doctor's office and awaiting a reply from the doctor for over a week. I then used Sheridan Medical Group's portal to request the refill, response "we will reply within two business days". Yeah, no. Stay away. Looking for a new Doctor. read more

Came in on a Monday for a 1:20 appointment. Just needed a flu shot and PPD test done. I waited 30 minutes after my appointment time to get called in (waiting room was NOT busy at all). That doesn't include the fact I got there 10 minutes early. 40 minute wait for one shot and one PPD which took only 7 minutes from the time I got called in to the time that I was back in my car. I then made an appointment to get my PPD read on Wednesday at 2pm. I waited 55 minutes in the waiting room after checking in before I finally got called in. The nurse then proceeds to tell me that she had no idea I was even there, the lack of communication was extremely frustrating. While waiting in the waiting room I saw her walking around numerous times and even came out in the waiting room and sat just a few seats away from me and talked to what I am assuming was a supervisor about some things for a good 15 minutes. After calling me back I didn't even get a room, she took me behind the door, checked my arm and sent me on my way within 30 seconds. I waited one hour for 30 seconds with the nurse, that was absolutely ridiculous, awful experience which is a shame because it used to never be like this. read more

Attn: is there a place for way anyone knows or we can post more reviews about this horrible place so people start getting the correct news. This place is only out for himself and the bottom line. They threw a fit whatever you choose to see another specialist because they think they know it all and the specialist work should be done with them and the ones that they now have the cost they suggest and the cost their friends set up. I was told to fire a long-term medical professional he's been helping me out for years because he wanted me to join his practice and started seeing him with all the costs added it. When I went into my appointment I was in pain they offered me nothing for my pain nothing even non-narcotic but performed a number of tests that put me in more pain didn't apologized and one about his way. Basically I'm not sure what's going on here but from a certain number of docs I get a serious vibe of a God complex going on if you're considering going here I wouldn't. Protect yourself protect your pocketbook. Thank you guys for letting me vent. Never step foot into this place it is running terribly you won't get your help that you need Dr. Jain is the Cannes artist who only wants you to join his gym in the nutritionist and his chiropractor and physical therapist and of course all that cost money is not included in any services that you get there he's dismissive he's rude rude isn't even the word that I describe what I met with him he was a little wing he talk down to you he spoke to you like his shit didn't stink read more
