I was sent here by my employer for pre-employment drug screening. I was confused when I looked up "Pulse" (as it said on my sheet) it was actually this location so I called first and they said it was accurate and to come here. On that particular day, they didn't have anyone in to do it. So I called back on Monday and I was fine to come in. Everyone on the phones were friendly, check in was quick and easy, and I barely had to wait. It was nice and clean in there as well. No complaints here. read more

Insurance was charged $425 for a simple Covid test and a flu test for my wife. Wife paid $100 deductible before leaving. Found out two days later from her GP that my wife had pneumonia which Immediate Care did not catch/screen for. And now we're being asked to pay the balance (post-insurance adjustment). Third party billing has not been fun to deal with trying to dispute the charges. read more

I brought my husband to immediate care right after he had an accident on his bike. It wasn't horrible, but he didn't need to be checked out as he was bleeding. There was no triage and we had to wait while the receptionist very slowly helped the person in front of us. when the person in front of us is done, I went up, handed my cards over and started to tell him what was wrong. The receptionist made the decision that we were not going to be seen at this clinic. I asked to speak to a manager, and he said there was none. He told me to calm down when I was understandably advocating for my husband, who had just been in an accident. I have never been treated that way in my life just for being a concerned, wife. We went to an urgent care down the street and we were treated wonderfully. I've read many reviews after the fact about this clinic and it seems very hit or a mess based on your needs. I would highly recommend going somewhere else if you need some thing more than just a physical. No one deserves to be treated the way that we were treated today. read more

I have been sick for a couple of weeks now, and fed up. And with it being the end of the year, my PTO at work is a little grim, so going to my PCP during their office hours is a little tricky. Hello, Immediate Care. They have multiple locations across WNY, one of which is on Delaware Ave a two minute drive from me in North Buffalo. However, that one is always so crowded with it being in the city, that I decided to give this location a try. Pro tip: you can actually reserve your check in time online for this location, through a service called InQuicker, on their website. You'll fill out your basic info online (demographics and why you are coming in (ie symptoms, injury, etc) and your insurance info) and so when you walk in the door and tell them your appointment time, they take you right to a desk to get things started. I was in and out in less than an hour, with prescriptions sent to my pharmacy of choice. The waiting room had multiple TVs with different programs, and complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and water. They also have WiFi, but ask that you refrain from cell phone use once you enter your patient room. I was treated by Dr. C, who could not have been friendlier or more personable. The whole experience was the best I've had at an urgent care facility, and with their evening hours and weekend hours, a no brainer. read more

TLDR; WNY Immediate Care is at best disorganized and at worst fraudulent. Go somewhere else. I received a Covid test here in September and have spent the past two months trying to get basic documentation of the visit so I can submit it to my insurance for reimbursement. I confirmed coverage with my insurance provider before visiting - all I need is a document with basic personal information and a code that indicates I received a Covid test. Pretty straightforward. Instead, I have a bill (wrestled from the billing office over the course of four phone calls) that indicates I came in for an "outpatient visit" and an appointment summary (wrestled from the site manager) that includes results of a full physical examination that was NOT performed - ear and nose examination, abdomen examination, skin examination, etc. WNY Immediate Care's explanation for A) the absence of the Covid test on the bill and B) the false exam results have varied from "we write exam results for anyone who sees a provider" (fraud) to "your insurance won't cover the test without symptoms" (wrong, and they never even asked for my insurance type or provider). Since this visit, I've received multiple identical Covid tests elsewhere (with and without symptoms) and every other provider has billed to my insurance directly with no issue. When WNY Immediate Care refused to do this, I had no problem paying up front and request reimbursement later. If I had known how difficult it would be to get basic, accurate documentation of my visit, I would've gone elsewhere. Two months and a dozen calls later, there's still no resolution in sight. Two stars for administering the Covid test successfully but I'll be reporting the false exam results to the NYS Dept. of Health. read more

Had my first visit here ever the other day due to COVID like symptoms. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. At the time I arrived, it was not very busy and I was able to be seen quite quickly for a walk-in environment. The facility seems small, but efficient and clean. The staff was knowledgeable, but they could not answer a specific question I asked and in the confusion of trying, one of the staff seemed frustrated about not knowing, but I felt as though the frustration was directed towards me. Hence the 4 star review. I would absolutely return to this facility if I had to. If you are in need of care and nearby, this is a good place to come. read more

Walked in at 7:45pm. No receptionist. No patients in the waiting room. Two people way down the hall were having an animated conversation. Waited a few minutes. When I drove by as I left they were still back there talking. I don't think anyone even noticed I had come or gone. I was having an asthma attack and went to WNY Immediate Care to get a nebulizer treatment. Because I was not yet vaccinated, they refused to treat me, and also acted like I had Covid, which I did not. They gave me my a prescription and sent me on my way as i stll had issues. If i could give zero stars i would, they input all my information wrong into the system and when she printed it out and asked me to review it I brought it to her attention she said "it's right in the system, it's fine!" How is it right in the system when you just printed the information out that you have? The girls at the front are more worried about the conversation they're having than what you came in there for. The doctor came in and talked to me for about 1 minute and said she can't give me anything because the sinus infection was viral. I was finally able to make an appointment with my actual doctor and guess what..... it was a bacterial sinus infection, antibiotics cleared it right up! It seems like everyone working there is more concerned with socializing with their coworkers than actually taking care of the person that came in. I will never waste my money here again! read more

Took my husband to WNY Immediate Care on Niagara Falls Blvd. Amherst, NY, for an infected abscess on his foot. The wait was minimal, the office staff very good, but the doctor disappointing. He diagnosed, what was obviously a painful soft mass, to be a callous. Sent us home with instructions to see a podiatrist to have it shaved down. We disagreed but he just kept repeating the same information about a callous. After discussion he agreed to provide an antibiotic just in case there was an infection starting. Tried to get into our podiatrist but had to wait 3 days for an appointment. Because the pain was so bad, we went to Kenmore Mercy Hospital the next evening and they lanced the clearly blood and puss filled area. It all but exploded when they put the needle in to aspirate. They said the antibiotic from WNY Immediate Care was the wrong type for a foot infection and gave him something stronger. There was no callous! My husband is walking as if nothing was there today. Don't know where the "doctor" came from at WNY Immediate Care, but very disappointing to say the least. read more

It was super fast service but honestly every interaction I've had with someone there was so condescending and rude. We're in a global pandemic, we're all stressed but there's no need to talk to patients as if they are unintelligent or irritating. I went there to get a covid test. jus wanted to check that I'm healthy since I just came back from traveling. People are really rude. The front desk stuff are condescending and unhelpful. The provider was also the same way. And when he was outside the room I heard him say to the nurse that did the nasal swap why is she getting a test done for no reason. Then he came and he said so your just getting this because. I was like I wanted to check if I'm safe. He was like it's not mandatory by the state you don't need one ( since where I traveled was outer state not the county) and was like I don't really care and just walked out. There so dismissive. Terrible Urgent care. Ladies at the front desk neglected to accept payment and blamed me for not bringing it up. The nurse was horribly rude and refused to take my blood pressure manually since the machine was broken. But the worst part of this experience was the doctor. I do not remember her name but she was the most sarcastic and rude woman I have ever met. Told me there was nothing she could do and refused to test me for the flu. I will never be returning due to inadequate medical care and rude staff. Take your business to WellNow on Sheridan Drive. Much much better care: Update- after a trip down south to visit family one of my family members contracted the same illness, she was treated with a steroid shot, anti-inflammatory shot, and prescription flu meds and got better twice as fast as I did. I have only been to this location once, but I was very pleased with the service. I walked in at 9:05am on a holiday and was out by 9:30 with a prescription in my hand. They are very efficient, fast, and kind. I never felt neglected or rushed. They have free keruig coffee in the waiting room and tvs in all the exam rooms (not that I even had time to turn it on). The direction that health care is going really befuddles me. I had a strep throat. It would have taken me 2 days to see my usual doctor and then I would have had to wait in a crowded waiting room for 30-45 minutes (based on my normal wait times). These new immediate care centers are all about making things fast and comfortable. Sure, I am not going to go there for anything complicated but seems better than going to my primary for small complaints. If you join their loyalty program, you can call ahead and get your name on the waiting list. read more

She responds with "OH MY GOD" then proceeds to hang up. I've been here twice. Once for my son and once for myself. Both times we had a good visit. The PA was excellent (I think it was Susan). Both visits the wait time was reasonable. The facility is pretty clean and modern. All of the staff were pleasant and I really have no complaints. I only wish they had a location closer to the border. Most of the staff were nice, however the doctor I spoke with was completely dismissive of my concerns, and downright disrespectful at times. I came in to get a COVID-19 test and was told there would be a 3hr wait which was fine. I was then told if I wasn't there when I was called to come in that they would move to the next patient and Id have to wait again which was also fine. So I started heading back with about an 1hr and 20min left until the three hours passed. On my way back I received a call saying they were ready to take me which was way earlier than I was told and I was 15min away. So I ended up deciding not to go since I was told they would skip me. They then called back again asking if I was there and I explained the situation to them so that they knew why I thought not to show up. I was then met back with a mean attitude and had everything I said ignored. The woman on the phone also then repeated back to me that if I wasn't coming in that they were going to skip me. So if you're going for a test I would recommend waiting the 3hrs in the parking lot or be prepared for some of their finest rude service. read more

UPDATE: WNY Immediate Care reached out to me after I posted this review. I gave them more detail of my experience and give them credit for that. I suggested they put more detail on their website because it is misleading as it relates to the Quick-In option which gives the impression you have an appointment. Also if you want to see a Doctor and not a nurse, call to see if a Doc is on duty. The representative whom I spoke with indicated they would share my comments as part of their training program. This location is understaffed with medical professionals and overstaffed with computer operators. 1 nurse, 1 x-ray technician and about 4 ladies working the computers. I had a 12:30p quick-in appointment scheduled on line, was not seen until 1:50p. The people were nice enough but my opinion is their website claims and promotional material I received in the mail, doesn't come close to what I experienced. Very disappointed, I wanted to like this place. read more

Do not go here! Go anywhere else. They never gave me the proper paperwork for my job that they were suppose to. I realized what they gave me was incorrect and went back in to have it corrected , which was a simple fix and maybe ten seconds to do so....they blamed me for not noticing it right away and then claimed they wouldn't do it unless I re registered and was seen again. Totally disappointed with the service. What really got me the doctor on call said we don't give out narcotics here, just because I was in severe pain does mean I came there for pain pills. I think the city should close the place. Because they don't know what they are doing. I got injured at work and couldn't walk, but they wrote down that I could go to work the next day. I was limping around and my whole job is walking around. So, I don't understand why everyone who works there develop better human skills and treat each patient with more respect and not just likes number. read more

I went there in hopes of getting an antibiotic for my sinus infection. My normal doc will prescribe that to me but it was the weekend and I needed to feel better. The PA gave me three scripts...an antibiotic, an inhaler and she prescribed me a generic form of mucinex. Now had I wanted to take mucinex I would have bought some. I have coughed day and night for the past 48 hours. I haven't been able to sleep and I'm keeping my 2 year old up with all of my coughing. Her directions on how to take the medications were horrible...and when I asked her if she could write down her directions I got attitude and she told me that they would be on my patient summary and guess what?...they weren't. Not sure why I needed the inhaler and neither did my pharmacist. read more

Clerks are jerks. I went here and they try too hard to be fake nice and force review sheets down your throat. You get passed along through about 4 people which is confusing. The doctor mislead me with the outcome of the meds: I had an upcoming appointment with a specialist and she did not write the script for enough meds. When I called to clarify, the snotty lady on the phone was unhelpful, curt and wouldn't call in the proper amount that was discussed with the physician. I asked to speak to a supervisor, they said she would call me back and never did. When I followed up later, I got a completely different answer... They should really try to get on the same page. Overall, I should have just gone to my primary, they made me come back in to finish the job-waste of time! 2 stars= nice waiting room but the patient rooms look like they need a good scrubbing. read more

I had a bad experience with BryLin and their disorganization lead me to come to here, to at least have a doctor's note for work. I was withdrawing from a recalled medication that had traces of Schizophrenia medical chemicals, I already made it aware that they can only do so much for me, and they decided to tell me again that they can't do certain practices, because redundancy I guess.. and the one male doctor came out to talk with me, as I was talking to the lady at the front desk, offered an ambulance to ECMC, and to which I explained my father just died recently under another hospital's barbaric care, and a friend of my husband's and I died in ECMC, so my wounds from both said incidents are still raw. Very raw. The doctor thought it'd ease my mind telling me that people die in the hospitals all the time, because that's reassuring to someone going through a panic attack, like as if I'm not already aware of that.. I wasn't wanting to put anyone through my mess, but I explained that's really not helpful, and for someone as a doctor to say that, it made me uncomfortable. I can handle straight facts, but you don't tell someone that when they're already in the mental state I was in, and they're traumatized from past to current events. My head already felt like it was in a vice, so he prescribed me ibuprofen, and I got my doctor's note. I also understand the intention of the lady at the front desk were sincere and to try to help, but telling me it's going to get better in the state of basic hysteria I was in, that was as helpful as kicking sand in my eyes.. she has absolutely zero clue what outside issues are already putting me in a state of depression which isn't her fault by any means, and I certainly don't need to have Schizophrenia chemicals to amplify my symptoms in my body, when I don't even have that. Please think, and listen to your patients before you speak. Mental health is as important as physical health, and if you're just going to disregard someone's trauma like that, then you're in the wrong field.. read more

I went in at Noon on Sunday. No one was ahead of me. Receptionist quickly took care of my insurance. Since I felt I had and UTI, they gave me a urine test to take. They called me in before I finished the test, I waited about 10 min for the nurse practioner and 10 min for the prescription. The facility is spotless, the staff friendly and professional. Since this is a recurring problem I will return. Before I went here I went to an Urgent Care on Military Rd. There were 5 patients ahead of me, and the first person had been there 45 min without having their information taken. I walked out and went to WNY Care, even though it was further away. read more

Employee at the front desk wasn't friendly. I had an infection in my fingernail and the Physicians Assistant prescribed me antibiotics. She asked what pharmacy I used and I said Wegmans on Niagara Falls Blvd. When I went to pick up my script, they didn't have it and they had to call Immediate Care twice in order to get them to send it. I had to wait over an hour in pain to get my prescription. A week later I get a call from Walgreens on Niagara Falls Blvd telling me they've had my prescription for a week. Turns out Immediate Care initially sent the script to WALGREENS instead of Wegmans! Definitely won't be going back to that particular Immediate Care. read more

The only reason I'm giving WNY Immediate Care in Amherst, NY a 3 star review is due to an important factor: The doctor's lacking bedside manner. However I'd like to give 5 stars to the following: The wait was reasonable, the waiting room was clean, and the office staff were knowledgeable and efficient. The nurse was especially kind and understanding with our autistic son. The doctor, however, was very brusque. I could say more, but do not wish to be as unkind as he came across. I assume (?) the doctor was overworked--but then again, so was the nurse, and she was AMAZING. Upon asking the doctor to also check my son's ears, he answered with "He didn't say his ears hurt, he said his throat hurts." First of all, my autistic son did not say anything. He pointed to his throat. Second of all, as his mother & legal guardian, my request was small, asked politely, and not asked without a valid reason. Well, the doctor did check ears, albeit begrudgingly. All in all, the visit went well. HOWEVER, might I add a suggestion? IF ANYONE FROM WNY IMMEDIATE CARE ACTUALLY READS THESE REVIEWS please note the following: Though the doctor's attitude may be due to having a bad day/exhaustion/ whatever...I feel he should try a more compassionate approach, especially toward the special needs population. (Or at least fake it, until he really does feel it.) read more

Had a fever of 103 for four days. Tested me for the flu by putting this thing so far up my nose I thought it was going to come out my eye. While she did this I let out a cry because it hurt so bad. She said it 's not going to kill you! Such lovely bedside manner. Wasn't told what she was doing with this long white thing thought it was going in my mouth but like I said she shoved it up my nose. After was told I had to wait 15 minutes for results of the up the nose flu test, 15 minutes became 30. Was then told I didn't have the flu and that it was a cold. A COLD with a fever between 100 and 103 for the past 4 days. Best part was they told me I could go back to work the next day. The next day my fever was 102.5 I work as a teacher. No I didn't go to work. I went to my Dr. The Dr. should have know better and she should have explained what she was doing. She also should have been at work at 9 when they open. I got to immediate care right at 9 when they opened however was not seen until 9:36. I will never go back to place again. read more

DH just called me me from Millard Fillmore Suburban ER where he had to go because of an infected nail and nail bed. After not being able to bend his hand in over a week, I gave him this place because of his insurance and now I feel terrible. He said the MD at Immediate Care gave him a list of podiatrists to take care of the nail/bed infection and "called" in a prescription because she doesn't do surgery. Really??? There was no prescription at Wegmans. He is now out 2 co-pays because WNY Immediate Care apparently doesn't do emergency surgeries. read more
