Dr. Sherieff is a nice enough guy. But, he speaks so softly it's hard to hear him. He talks a lot about nutrition which is fine but went on a bit long. What troubled me is his office staff did not obtain foot x-rays already in the system even when she said she would. I found this out at Lompoc Hospital where he could have easily accessed them. Was there 1.5 hours of wasted time as did not need more x-rays. When I called his staff, "she forgot" to obtain them. So, we had our visit (me and a relative), and called x3 for him to relate what's up with our foot x-rays. There was no call back after 5 days, just access to a patient portal which had no info and was a complete waste of time. No x-rays were even in the portal. I feel it's very unfortunate there is no follow up as to what to do now. Isn't that why you go to a doctor? We waited 6 months for this appt and we are disappointed in Dr. Sherieff for his lack of follow up. We don't understand why there is no call back....? read more

I have known Dr. Sherieff for several years now. He is a very thoughtful man who always made me like a person instead of a patient. I could have done better a finding a physician who cares. I am sure if I didn't do all I could to keep my diabetes under control, he would give me a hard time and make me feel guilty for being a diabetes. I leave that up to my Primary Care who must've gotten extra credit at his Medical School for being a "dick". Dr. Sherieff is a pleasure to be with. He fixed my ingrown toe after he lectured me on my weight for a half hour. He spent more time talking about me weight and how I was going to die then about my feet. He was a complete Jerk who needs some people skills and a new staff. Even the staff was rude and not very comforting. I expected semi-pleasant experience from a new doctor not a nightmare. BEWARE! Dr Sherieff has worked on my feet for many years, I recently fell down and bent my left toes backwards and saw him and he said go to the Lompoc X-Ray dept to check it out , a few days latter he told me it was broken and if it hurt he could do surgery , so far I havent decided to have the surgery read more

Dr. Sherieff is a no-nonsense, get-to-the-point doctor who really knows his stuff. I first saw him 3 months ago, on a Monday, with a dislocated 5th metatarsal avulsion fracture. On Friday he had me in ORIF surgery. Both pre & post surgery, he was clear about my role in the healing process. Hardware was removed 3 weeks ago. He cleared me for gradually increasing rehab on an ellipitical. He also gave me detailed instructions for other exercises. I truly appreciate his health-based, patient-centered approach. Dr. Sherieff and his staff have my utmost respect and thanks for getting me back on my feet, literally. I'm actually going to miss my regular visits but am happy for the reason. read more

I'm flabbergasted by the negative reviews posted here. My experience couldn't have been more opposite. I found Dr. Sheriff's staff to be very friendly and courteous. We even discussed the music that was piped in, while I waited to be seen. Dr. Sherieff has a great personality and gladly answered every question I asked. He thoroughly explained different options to deal with my many foot problems. I was especially relieved to learn that he is also very familiar with Sjogren's Syndrome, which I suffer from. It's rare that I'm able to find any physicians that actually fully understand this autoimmune disease, least of all, a podiatrist! I love this guy! After years of standing on my feet for long periods of time at work, something finally "snapped." I hobbled to my car after work that day in a LOT of pain. It got a bit better on its own, but a painful swelling on the ball of my foot remained... for WEEKS. Enter Dr. Sherieff, miracle worker for feet! He listened carefully (yes, he actually LISTENED) then examined my foot and gave me the bad news: the damaged part was likely never going to heal completely. So what did he do? He measured and hand cut special inserts, and placed them in the shoes I was wearing that day. VOILA! Pain gone! No shots, no surgery, no extensive therapy. I came to Dr Sherieff for a second opinion and it was a complete waste of my time and money. After he spent a good 20 minutes fondling my left foot, I concluded he has "Foot Fetish" disease. When I was checking out they told me the co-pay was $50, but all other "specialists" only charged me $30 for a lousy opinion. Now I have to go through my insurance company to get a refund of $20 and I filed a compliant with my Insurance company. There are plenty of Podiatrists in the Santa Barbara area, why waste your time visiting this quack. since I went to him for a second opinion, I now feel better that my first podiatrist was right, and unfortunately I had to waste an afternoon to find that out. skip this one. the office staff is pretty lazy as well. read more

Well, that was a waste of my time and apparently yours too. Another doctor saying, "You should think about losing weight." Gee thanks. That doesn't take a medical degree. I appreciate being worked into the schedule and all, but I came about my feet, not my fat. And, to finish what I started telling you, perhaps if doctors had been hip to diagnosing my thyroid problems 20 years ago when I first presented with symptoms, I probably wouldn't have a weight problem. It's not like I sit around eating bon-bons all day! Oh wait, you're a "blame the fatty" kind of doctor so you just told me you had other patients to see. And then you gave me a copy of a bunch of those home foot remedies I have been using- no medical license or prescription needed for that either. Not only that, I had work comp injuries which were brushed off as needing to heal without giving me a diagnosis on them. Don't worry, I won't be back. And comments about my weight are why I don't want to find a new doctor in this town. I went home and cried. Luckily, I found a good podiatrist who expressed the proper concern for my injuries without blaming me for my weight. read more
