Headed out I-40 off Dale exit to my dismay…read more2 police cars blocked the exit...So not knowing the back streets I thought I'd drive as close along I-40 as I could and try another exit...by this time it was 1:00 AM and I was tired and had a long drive ahead. Well at the 4th exit I pulled along side the officer, got out, and asked how to get to a route that I could get on I -40...He said I-40 was closed for 7 miles, high speed chase and shooting. He got out of his car and drew me a map...bless him, what a kind man...so kudos to you officer...

Although I know he was only joking and I laughed it off, I was taken by his lack of professionalism given he doesn't know me. Officer we spoke to was very polite and friendly…read more However, they were utterly ineffective at keeping the peace at a local "motel" even after visiting 3 times in a 24 hour window. The people that live there were very loud well after 2am, blasted music with their cars, and generally didn't care about anyone else trying to sleep. Overall, very disappointed. What do you do when the police can't resolve such an issue? You do what we did. Leave and and plan to never return.
