This was an excellent find as we stopped by this Tennessee Welcome Center as we were traveling on I-75 southbound. This stop had plenty of parking for both large trucks and small vehicles. Inside the welcome center you get plenty of information for things do while visiting Tennessee. The facility and restrooms were very clean and maintained to the highest standard. Half of the space is dedicated to displays of brochures and pamphlets and advertising for Tennessee tourist attractions and activities. Rest rooms are clean and cared for. It's a lovely welcome station with a trail to walk, out front there is a memorial and a fatigue marker so that if you are tired, if you walk this spot 6 times, it equals one mile. I think, personally, that's for kids so you tire them out. The bathrooms are clean and fresh, the people inside were quite friendly and the landscaping is neat and tidy. I left a few rocks here for people to find and smile. read more

Very nice welcome center for those heading south out of KY. Located at high elevation and plenty of clean restrooms and information as you head into the Volunteer State. You can get info for many tourist areas and discount coupons for hotels. Lots of history info inside as well. Maybe just take a rest in a rocking chair. read more

The perfect pit stop! Our seventeen month old needed a break from being in the car, messing - we all needed a break. The restrooms were clean and quite large - there were several stalls. The desk was staffed with two helpful ladies who answered all of my mother's questions. There are many pamphlets to give you ideas of things to do, places to visit and food to eat. You can read through them while sitting in one of their rocking chairs. If you need a snack, head over to the vending building. Not only do they have soda, chips, candy bars and gum, they even have ice cream! read more

Such a great place to stop on our way into Tennessee! The cabin-style facility is beautiful and well-maintained. The bathrooms are just fine and there is a lot of information available about local attractions and maps! Apparently, Tennessee really want you to visit them, grab a few hundred pamphlets, and spend some money while you're there. We always stop at this welcome center before we head up the mountain in Tennessee. It is a good location to stop and rest a few and go to the restroom. Usually we are on our way to the Smoky Mountains and always get a few travel brochures. The place is always clean and welcoming as are the staff in the welcome center. read more

Nice, clean, lots of info on all the tourist and historic sites in Tennessee. They have lots of covered picnic tables, a separate covered section with lots of vending machines. Parking for both semi trucks and cars, like most rest stations. There's a walking path that says if you walk around 6 times, I think it's 6, you make one mile of exercise and try to help you stop smoking, I didn't read the total signs as it was dark. We were able to grab a ton of info, maps, books on all the areas of Tenn that we are looking forward to visiting and learning more of where we moved to - Johnson City in the TriCities area (NE TN) What we thought was fun was that there's a small framed plaque that said their goal was to give visitors enough information about Tennessee when they are visiting, that one day those visitors would return to become residents. Tennessee Welcome Station - Taking care of needs on the way to Sevierville - Public Services & Government Near Me - Jellico, Tennessee

I was on road trip with my daughter and grandson heading for Pigeon Forge. It was a warm afternoon just before the first weekend in December 2020. My daughter has a tradition of stopping here at this welcome station just inside the Tennessee border. She planned on taking a special family Christmas photo to send to her husband. My son-in-law could not make this trip due to his six month deployment in Germany. The welcome station was decorated in a festive Christmas style. I took the first photo here for them. The second photo was taken at the the top of the trail behind the welcome station. It was a steep and curving path but my grandson insisted that we run all the way up. At the top is a shelter with a picnic table and behind it our first real view of Tennessee. As welcome stations go this is a nice one. It has large clean bathrooms in front building. Here you also find the promotional materials about all the great places to go, things to see and activities to do in Tennessee. In the second building are the snack, candy and drink vending machines. Here you can find almost anything you need to sustain yourself while on the road. And don't worry there is plenty of parking.
