His name is Eddy and he's a Columbian mammoth. Crazy cool that it's a life sized replica too. At the entrance, you pay for parking and it's $10. PRO-TIP: If you spend $40 at the gift shop, the $10 counts towards it and altogether it's actually only $30, which is great if you're buying a lot of goods there to support OR if you're a fossil and/or gem/mineral enthusiast since they have a LOT of that there, which is pretty neat. There's 2 places you can park. One near the garden nursery where you can purchase plants or near the main parking where the gift shop is. The Critter Corner is in the gift shop where you can see lots of herps and aquatic critters as well. The volunteers are super informative and can answer all your questions about the critters they have there. Love that they have name tags and info about where they're from and information about the species. Love the monkey skink, emerald tree skinks, Argentinian tegu, and of course, the beardies. Gift shop also has a great variety of affordable gifts ranging from toys, to small knick-knacks, decor, gem stones and minerals of all varieties and displays (loose, as earrings or necklaces, carved, etc.), locally sourced honey, actual fossils (there's a section where you're not allowed if you're under 16 without a parent or guardian), books, stickers, and much much more. While we were there, there was also a fun little S.T.E.A.M. corner where you can work on artwork you can take home or on some days I think there's science activities there too. The mural on the walls are also quite impressive too. Great for photos and a nice personal touch. I recommend getting the $1 grab bag! Kids love gacha/blind boxes nowadays and mine had 2 small fossils, a sticker, and 2 mineral stones. Pretty nice and super affordable. There's a trail that goes through a cactus garden with lots of dinosaur sculptures, done by the local boy scouts which is pretty neat. It's $9 if you would like to go rock collecting. You get to meet all the dinos during this expedition as well. It's 12 rocks, minerals, or fossils which isn't bad. They also have guided tours that start at the gift shop, but my boyfriend and I were just there to free roam, which can kill a couple hours too depending on how in depth you are in reading and looking at everything. They also have a separate Museum of Discovery with lots of fossil specimens and models ranging from dinosaurs, prehistoric creatures (aquatic, mammals, reptiles, etc.), indigenous/Native American artifacts and artwork (local artwork too), minerals and other geological structures. There's taxidermy on the wall too. Lots to look at. Will definitely come back in the future. Super affordable way to learn and spend some time.

My kids gave up dance, if COVID didn't happen, they would still be in dance because this studio is amazing!!! You can't measure the worth of an activity for your kids solely due to them continuing on in college or adulthood. You have to realize what values they are learning. My kids left here learning that it takes consistency and hard work to learn a new skill, to be kind and forgiving to themselves and others, to believe in themselves, and so much more because of the trust, respect and dedication the dance owner, dance instructors, dancers and parents put into this studio. All three kids did dance competitions. The instruction here is top notch. Every kid gets dance corrections. Every kid will learn the dance. The instructors really instruct. All the dances are kid appropriate. All the costumes are kid appropriate. Some studios have children in skimpy costumes. Not here. They focus on the kids learning how to actually dance. This studio does produce dancers that go on to college for dance and beyond - while keeping an inviting environment. My kids do not have anything negative to say about this studio. They have very fond memories of Ms Jamie, Mrs. Reese, Ms Debbie, Ms Maria, Ms Danielle and so many more. Thank you guys for creating such positive memories with my kids and allowing us to be part of your dance family.

All the teachers are amazing. They are very patient with the students to really get the best dancer out of every person. I've watched from the littles all the way up to the adults and amazed at what they can bring out of people. Please know that their kids classes are fun but they actually teach technique. While it's great to see little ones in tutus, it's amazing to see that they are actually learning form and not just playing dress up. I've encountered a lot of parents who say how uncomfortable they are at other studios because teachers or parents are unwelcoming but that is not the case here. The environment in the whole studio is very inclusive no matter age or gender and I LOVE THAT! Their shows are top notch. Their professionalism and kindness is unmatched. This was our home away from home. It will be sorely missed.

How privileged we are to be able to learn about Korean culture by highly qualified Korean…read moreinstructors from Korea sponsored by King Sejong Institute and the South Korean government -- and additional sponsor, Nongshim. Today I learned about the history, style, lore, importance of the beoseon. I had no idea! After the lesson (lectured in Korean and English), we had the opportunity to practice writing Korean on our beoseon with our black calligraphy pens and cutting out the shape of the beoseon. We then transitioned to sewing our beoseon pattern pouch. I learned that the pouch is significant because it stores the pattern from which your beoseons are made. For example, in olden days, part of a bride's preparation was to make 100 beoseons and bring them to her new family's home. Typically, she would gift each adult in that household 10 beoseons each. Today's experience made me once again appreciate my Korean heritage and fanned a desire in me to learn more. I look forward to more education and making of memories at this fine institution and program. (Note, I was ambitious today. I took back to back classes. The 2nd class was about the ear-shaped pouch. It is a simple but elegant, traditional, and practical pouch to carry money, ID, tobacco, etc.). Two thumbs way up for both classes today. The lecturer was top notch and passionate about her topic, and the staff on site were all welcoming and helpful. And with my last visit to the 2023 Nutcracker show, it was nothing but splendid! The performance center itself is part of the Riverside Community College, so depending where you will park, you might get to walk around the campus. There also could be a flight of long stairs or just a flat walk towards the main entrance. Staff here are also really helpful and nice, and I'm sure they are the same for all the different shows they have here. Inside the auditorium, it reminds me of a large lecture hall: with those wooden, collapsable chairs...just felt like being in college again! Which was cool. The stage and its lighting system is amazing and the stage will be lit up just perfectly for any show. I really enjoy coming here and who knows, maybe I'll come back for another show!

The Theater is large with 1500 seats and a professional stage that I hear is about to get some major upgrades. It's obvious that a lot of effort has gone into making this storied stage something special. Simple concessions from a local club from campus were nice and just the right price. Tickets for into the woods was just $16.00 with a $5 discount for advanced purchase, an amazing bargain! Into The woods was fantastic, clever, and massively entertaining with a superb cast. The Sets and lighting crossed between professional and campy, just perfect for such a fun show.

The moment you walk into the space you see that is very beautifully architecturally designed. Just near the entrance, they have a very nice spiral staircase that takes you up through the various floors where exhibitions are shown. As you walk farther back into the gallery, there you will find the lower level exhibition rooms. Moving upwards, you can get there via the aforementioned spiral staircase, or they also have a stairwell in the back, if that is your preference. Either way, you'll move through the various galleries and see some great photographs, and some other artistic works. Located right in the heart of downtown Riverside, this gallery space is very easy to find. There's parking all over the area, so that should never be a problem for you. The way admission works as this space is that you walk in, and there will more than likely be a person at the reception desk who will guide you over to the right of the facility There is the reception desk where you'll pay your fee and be given a small little badge to put on your apparel. Then, you're ready to go. Enjoy the showings. Overall, great space. Great place to view some really unique photographs and other artistic works.

The tour guide team was very nice and friendly. They made the tour fun and entertaining :)
