It is $35 plus tax etc for all you can drink (alcohol/wine) boat ride for about an hr and a half. If you don't drink alcohol you can get all you can drink non alcoholic beverages as well. We arrived early and they started boarding on time. There were a few other ppl on our boat but it was not too crowded at all. I was afraid it was going to be a kiddie type with of event with the pirate theme but actually the kids were all on the lower deck being entertained by the workers. Most of the adults were on the top deck doing our own thing. The drinks were good! The bartender was friendly, as well as all of the other staff. Out of all the activities I did that weekend with my family this was by far my favorite. The ride was relaxing. The vibes were chill and they even had some music and had us join in the cha cha slide. We watched the sun go down and took pics. The weather was perfect that time of night and the views were phenomenal. I would definitely go on this exact boat ride again. I'm glad I chose this for my birthday. It is really a great value boat ride for the whole family to enjoy!

Costa Rica surf trip to on the challenge with excitement and care, curating our whirlwind adventure. We were given a variety of choices for tours, stays, and activities to choose from. Every step of the planning process we were able to give feedback, ask questions and have our needs met. We could have never planned everything ourselves to make such an efficient use of time. Plus, as oft happens on vacation, one of our chosen activities was cancelled due to weather. CRST alerted us, gave us a back up option for the evening (beach sunset tour) and secured a replacement activity for the following morning (dolphin tour). While we opted to try surfing, you don't need to. They create your adventure according to your own desires, interests and goals! I'm also really impressed how clearly this company is integrated in the local community, highlighting and supporting Costa Rican owned businesses and contributing to the growth of the Samara Beach area (and Costa Rica as a whole). I was worried about such a short trip being worth it, but I truly can not imagine a better experience. We did ALL the things and had a wonderful experience thanks to CRST's care and expertise. You won't regret working with this company to plan your own Costa Rica visit.

The word "surf trip" is in the company's title, but they are so much more than that. The team customized a perfect itinerary for our group of not-very-adventurous people. From relaxing in the hot springs next to Arenal Volcano, to sitting on the sunny beach in Samara, it was the trip of a lifetime! The highlight for me was seeing all the animals in their natural habitats - baby turtles, sloths, frogs, and much more. So cute! The whole team, including their expert local guides and friendly drivers, made it an incredible vacation for us. I can't recommend CR Surf Trip enough to anyone who wants to visit Costa Rica.

From the moment we arrived, the place had this incredible energy -- the kind of spot that instantly makes you think, I'd camp here in a heartbeat. The grounds were beautiful, the amenities looked top‑notch, and the whole atmosphere felt like a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. And the staff? Absolutely phenomenal. Genuine, warm, and the kind of people who clearly love what they do. I hesitated to wander into the camper store since we weren't staying overnight, but now I wish I had -- the whole place had that welcoming, "come on in" vibe. I wasn't sure if the campground and airboat tours were run separately, but everyone we met felt like part of one big, enthusiastic team. Before the tour, the staff came out and gave us a fascinating crash course on gators -- and then we got to hold Luke the gator. Let me tell you, once you hold Luke, something changes. You walk away feeling like you've bonded with a gator. I'm not kidding -- I still catch myself wondering how Luke is doing. Then came the airboat ride. We loaded up, the engine kicked in, and suddenly we were flying across the lake. Our tour guide Kyle was outstanding -- knowledgeable, funny, confident, and able to answer every question thrown his way. For my first airboat experience, I was genuinely impressed by how smooth and skilled he was behind the controls. We spotted plenty of baby gators and even a mama gator. Sure, I would've loved to see a few more, but for the price, the thrill, and the overall experience, it was absolutely worth it. We were on the 12:45 tour, so the time of day may have played a role -- but honestly, I left feeling thrilled. If I could change one thing, it would be knowing ahead of time that tips for the guides are cash‑only. We weren't carrying American cash, and Kyle definitely earned a tip. Adding that note to the FAQ or confirmation messages would be super helpful for future guests. All in all, this was an unforgettable experience -- exciting, educational, and genuinely fun from start to finish. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something unique, thrilling, and full of heart.

What a good find…read more.. This area was not on my radar at all. We simply wanted to visit a friend in the area that was moving and she recommended staying here over the nearby hotel chains. This is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking to get away for some relaxation without all the heavy tourist activity, etc. It is quiet and has everything you need. There is a pool, beach access and other amenities, plus, there are a few restaurants (with bars) nearby. The rooms are comfy and are supplied with a fridge, microwave, dishes, etc. The hotel offers a great view whether you are on the bay side or not. If you are looking for something to do in the area then Bradenton, Tampa and St. Petersburg are nearby with a plethora of activities and sites to meet everyone's desires. Lastly, there is complimentary parking with your stay in a protected garage area assigned by the building you are staying. The check in/out staff was friendly and informative. Please note: Currently they don't attend to the rooms every day with the pandemic. However, if there is anything you need...just let them know and they will get it to you, handle it, take care of it, etc. A "con" is that one elevator was not working when we were there and the working elevator is slow. Please note, you press the button to "call it", the light may go off and the doors won't open...you need to press the button again to open or else you'll find yourself standing there wondering what is going on. Strange I know, but it is what it is. The broken & slow elevator issue can be frustrating if you are in a hurry, exhausted, etc...so be prepared! Plus, you are supposed to keep your distance from folks with the pandemic, however, some folks ignore that and pile in. With one elevator broken and the other running slow...things like this happen. Oh...and I'm still not sure why there is a "resort fee" when the amenities they have come free with other hotels, but perhaps I missed something spectacular. Personal note: Beds and pillows are ok, but if you are driving in I'd bring my own pillow. It's great the rooms have ceiling fans...woot!
