3.5 stars. We were walking down the street in Babylon and found Sherry's market. I said to BF "this place looks cool so let's check it out!!" He indulged me so we entered and I felt like I was back in the 80's. Great products and so ultra healthy!! We bought papaya juice and it had a lotta carrots infused which they should include on the packaging label. Thank the lord for Claritin. I'm super allergic to carrot juice. . They had a couple demos going on and they rocked!! I highly recommend if you ever travel out here!! read more

This is a great supermarket in Babylon Village! I love going here. They have a great variety of fresh veggies and fruits. They have a bulk section which is really nice, although they have the bulk items already packaged in plastic bags (not like wholefoods where you bring your own container, fill it, and weigh it). Their selection of organic items and plant-based items is amazing. My 4-year-old son has a bunch of favorite snacks that we can always find here. They also have a small cart that my son LOVED pushing around the store and filling up with groceries. I recommend this grocery store for EVERYONE but especially if you are like me and want more healthy food options. read more

For a small shop, it has a lot to offer, and it's in a great location on Deer Park Avenue. It's nice to stop by after dinner in Babylon or if you're out exploring the town. Cute market. Has a lot of really good fruit and veggies. Very flavorful and taste a whole lot better. Staff is always super friendly and has helped my Mother pick vitamins out for her needs. First visit....VERY helpful staff....couple of 'short dated' items (beans etc.) I use regularly on a separate shelf @ GREATLY reduced prices which was a great thing. Like other 'issues' I have witnessed......many on the South Shore of Long Island in Congressional District # 2, long held by the stalwart sycophant of 'he who must not be named' this business is getting 'bad reviews' from those who are of the same persuasion! I simply want to PRAISE this business for protecting ALL of us following Gov. Cuomo's regulations! Today we are seeing the results of this issue so I hope I see no more of these 'complaints'! Masks & social distancing are making a tough situation worse for so many businesses why the _?_ would anybody make a 'negative issue' of it. PLEASE! I was very happy to find this establishment after losing Fairway in Plainview when it closed and look forward to making regular trips here! Only problem I had was parking at a reasonable distance. I love Sherry's. It's an adorable store with lots and lots of goodies. When you first walk in, they always have samples of products. They have a great selection of vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and many other items to fit a wide variety of dietary needs. The staff here is friendly and helpful and the store is clean and well organized. They always have items on sale, however as some people have stated, there are many things here that you can find for cheaper at a national brand grocery store. That being said, sometimes I don't mind paying an extra dollar or two to support small businesses. Plus, at Sherry's they have many things that you just can't find anywhere else, except maybe Whole Foods, but let's face it - WF is super expensive, and I think Sherry's has that place beat by a mile. They have a check-in for a free reusable bag, and when you use your bag, you save a few cents on your order. Good for your wallet. They also accept coupons and have some out by certain products. I'm obsessed with the Simply 7 chips (jalapeño and bruschetta) and the great little vegetarian meals-to-go they have near the water and iced teas. They also sell a delicious ginger tea with ginger crystals, and have a ton of natural beauty products and vitamins. Walking the isles today, I noticed that they have samples of all the kids vitamins. Did I try the root beer flavored one? You bet your beets I did! Check this place out. You won't be disappointed. read more

Sherry's is a top notch health food store. I walked in to get my husband some almond butter and I wanted to buy the entire store. The store is jam packed wall to wall with all kinds of healthy, natural food selections and products. It seems they have everything you could think of from organic coffee, to fresh produce, and even a soy peanut free chocolate spread that is healthier than my beloved nutella although it doesn't taste as good as nutella, it's still decent and a nice healthy alternative. I plan on trying the coffee after I get through the beans I currently have at home right now. I am giving it 5 stars but just a head's up this store is money. Expect to spend a lot because healthy food options are much more expensive than fast food and processed crap you see in your regular supermarket. read more

The thermometer was below expected msmrs and the items in the BACK are freshest, not expired, check three dates please. Parking was one of the awful experiences ... the shope sits on a main. Thoroughfare and the cars stored through deer park avenue so beware when you open your door it may go in the wind. Meters are not always operating and dirty so an unexpected shopper can risk a ticket bc the unit isn't maintained...if You are lucky to squeeze your car into a spot others bump your bumper to get out of the ill fitting space allocated. I ultimately went west on Montauk and a grocer had well Priced organics and adequate parking. Ill give credit for effort although not for expired products more then 3. read more

Loveeee this place. I've been coming here for years and they always seem to have exactly what I need. They carry everything! I've purchased everything from all natural organic food, oils (essential body cooking etc.), herbs and spices, shampoos, body soaps, vitamins/supplements, body cleansers etc. The woman near the vitamins is very knowledgeable and answers any question I may have. What a great a find!! I LOVE health food stores, and surprisingly, in Boston (where I hail from), you really only have big box places like Whole Foods. This reminded me of a health food store I used to frequent during my childhood. The gluten free selections are awesome. I can tell you this place has saved me a few times! I even bought a gluten free English muffin here to bring to another local restaurant down the street (Nocturne). For gluten free, the prices are pretty much the same you find anywhere else. Yes it's expensive, but it's so nice to have variety. The staff is always friendly - I just wish I had more time to peruse! read more

Honestly, I used to only come here when I could because the prices seemed high. But this was back in the day before too many people actually cared about their health and what they were putting in their bodies. It seems that the prices in these recent years are more reasonable now, or maybe not - maybe its just the new health wave that's hit the east coast causing all grocery stores to carry healthy alternatives like gluten free options at higher prices than Sherry's. Either way, I love Sherry's. The produce is always fresh and here is where you can find more healthy alternatives to everything - they have every kind of flour imaginable, they have a ton of brown rice products for those of us trying to avoid too much wheat, and the selection of supplements and personal care products is great too. Not to mention they promote local businesses! We love everything about this place! The most remarkable Health Food Grocery Market with outstanding fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains and prepared items. I can't get enough of the soups that help me survive winter and organic cold-pressed raw juice blends, veggie, almond milk and whatever else they decide to create and bottle. Sherry is the owner's mom and her cuisine is divine and healthy and I consume their prepared foods weekly and haven't felt this amazing in a very long time. I made a special trip to go to Sherry's because I understood that they sold The Vegg. They do not. And the staff member on duty did not know what The Vegg is. And even after I told her specifically that I wanted the product because it wasn't to replace a scrambled egg for a vegan,that it is for the taste & sensation of an egg yolk, she offered a scrambled-egg-type product because "you can SCRAMBLE this one!" Say what now? The prices weren't any better than anywhere else & she seemed annoyed that I needed a bag. Add to that the awkward street parking in the area & it's really not somewhere I would go again unless I had other things to do in the neighborhood. It IS a cool shopping district if you are interested in that sort of Earth-friendly, new-Agey shopping, but Sherry's is not a destination I would head to again. read more

This store is like a mini-Whole Foods with lots of interesting healthy and organic products. It's a nice local business and everyone is very friendly. Having said that, I have to deduct a star for the high prices. There are many products I have come across at Sherry's where the same product is offered for 25%-50% less at other competing stores. Items like cereals, veggie burgers, soy milk come to mind. It's a shame because I would otherwise do more shopping at Sherry's. Instead, it's a place I go in to buy a few interesting items and then head over to a place like Trader Joes to get the real shopping done. They do have decent sales from time to time. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. read more

I drive 45 minutes to shop here for vitamins and supplements. They have a wonderful selection, the staff who advise on supplements are very knowledgeable and helpful. I always pick up teas and bulk foods as well. Things are kept clean and neat, everything is well lit. Great store. read more

Living in New York half the year I've been going to sherry's over 15 years. Not going back. The cashier Samantha is a tyrant who while not wearing a face cover or mask of her own, demands you the customer wear one. She thinks it's a Law, (which it isn't) but it does not apply to her. Only to the customer. When you ask why you need to cover your face she won't just say that the store requires it, she will proceed to lecture you on her morality and ideas of rightness and wrongness on the issue, again all while NOT wearing a face cover herself. It was the first corrupt and tyrannical experience I've had in a store at the hands of the cashier. Astonishing. I'll not be going back...all I bought from the store I can get elsewhere or order online. read more

Sherrys has been my favorite health food store for my entire life. The most knowledgable employees and the most thoughtful selection of foods,herbs,beauty products. No crazy prices like other health food stores on Long Island. Sherrys is small but it works to their advantage imo. It's not a deli or anything it a market that you certainly can get a nice little selection of pre made Health food if you're in a rush. I'm not a huge fan of health food stores because they tend to be a little out of my price range. But I'm vegan and health food stores usually have all of the specialty items I need. As far as health food stores go this is by far the best I have ever been to. It's always super clean and well-stocked. I go here for the bulk bins...they have a huge range of grains, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, and spices at very reasonable prices. Everything is placed in individual little 1 lb. baggies, which is more sanitary and fresher than traditional bulk bins, but unfortunately most items must be bought in 1lb. increments. Another plus is that ALL produce and bulk bin items are 100% organic and almost all are domestically grown. At the front of the store there are dozens of healthy living magazines and nutritional pamphlets for free. read more

Whenever I am visiting family in Babylon I try to always pop into Sherry's. While I live in the city and have WF and other health markets,, I must say that I prefer shopping at Sherry's, it is very clean, everything is fresh and packaged nicely. The workers are very helpful, a special thank you to the young lady that came to my aid while searching for the coconut bacon - which is a product that is not always available at health food stores. I found the prices the same as other health food stores. Healthy food is not cheap, but then again neither are medical bills, right? Last weekend I was out for the Babylon fall festival for the first time. My sister mentioned that Sherry's gives out a goodie bag out. WOW! was this healthy vegan happy, thank you Sherry's for my amazing goodie bag! It had so many samples inside, quinoa chips, edible redmans CLAY (that I have been thinking of buying), soap; supplements, I was like a kid on Halloween. Just moved to Babylon and I'm very happy to have a health food store in the heart the village. Stopped by this morning and was quite surprised at how large the store was, it is deceiving from the outside. They seemed to have everything you would except, and the shelves seemed very well stocked. Prices were a tad high on some items, specifically frozen items, but I also found some absolutely great bargains/sales. I am looking forward to keeping this local store at the top of my rotation list! read more

Over the past year I have had amazing interactions with the people I have come in contact with at Sherry's including an extremely knowledgable person in the vitamin and supplement area.
