I had a contractor buy touch-up paint for my house that was not the right color. We had not waited long enough for the paint from a sample can to dry to confirm we had the right stuff, and the color was actually way off. I approached the store with the gallon the contractor had mixed and a can of another sample paint I had bought that I thought was probably the right color, but the label was totally bleached away. The can had never been opened, and was stored inside my house for the 4.5 years since the painting had been done. The sales person opened the can, mixed it and said it was not good to use anymore, (it had lumps in it and smelled weird) but I could use it to make sure it was a color match. The sample can was a color match for my walls. Based on their records of my purchases, we knew the name of the color of the sample can. I then turned it over to the sales clerk (Stephanie) and her partner (Qiana) to fix the gallon of paint I had to make it into what I needed. They did a lot of studying to figure out how to do it, then made 2 modifications to the gallon I had and bingo!! a perfect match. I was really impressed. They were very professional and pleasant and helped me with my problem. Who could ask for more? Well, I could ask why the sample cans I was buying from Sherwin Williams were not staying usable when stored indoors and unopened. The sample cans were from 2020/2021 (two different ones) and useless in 2025. How does that happen? Alas, I could not give SW a perfect 5 stars, but a 4 is pretty good. I also hired them to restore and repaint my deck. They pressure washed it, replaced more boards than expected, reinforced parts of the structure, and applied a beautiful finish that suits the home.
