Dr shibley is a great doctor. What most need to understand is, yes he runs a "general" medical office. However, 90%+ of his patients are getting opioid drug treatment rehab meds and counseling from him in an outpatient setting. If you are someone who has several severe issues AND need opioid rehab, then yes, seek another general PRimary care AND see him Just for opioid treatment/management. To those who say he's a "drug pusher" is totally false... he's not A PAIN DR.!! (As in he can't even legally rx high doses of pain meds!) could his offices and p, if some of these patients who call would understand, that he makes himself available 24/7 to anyone (yes he answers his own calls, but you will actually get directly in contact with him, as he tries to be constantly "on call" for his current and future patients... as another healthcare provider and patient of his, yes he's not perfect, but he's ever striving to improve, and please understand... he's NOT some mega chain hospital or treatment center ($$$!!) he's a single dr small practices, and I'm sorry if he charges more than the FREE clinics! How often do opioid addicts/former actually have an MD treat them with respect and demand the same (don't flake on Pay or appointments and be able to pass pee tests!!) if a super high end passages Malibu or The Schlick Shadel and their fake persona of hope and luxury and expense is what makes you feel you need to recover then yes his $500 a month fee and his modest and cosmetic "under construction" offices won't be a good fit. I find it humerous how this doctors new patients give good reviews then later you see their names again with complaints...Dr. Shibley not only yelled at me in front of other patients about money he said I owed him for visits I had missed due to unfortunate events in my life. He claimed I had to pay him monthly instead of each visit, I told him I wasnt even there and he never wrote me a prescription so why do I have to pay for services I never recieved?? Seriously? He said you pay me regardless, you pay by the month. In the beginning he told me he will bill my state insurance and that its cash the first visit but everytime I went back to see him he always asked me for money and made it known he wont give me my prescription unless I have the money, uh okay, then I find out theres plenty of clinics who prescribe suboxone for people who have insurance so why was this doctor taking my cash, so uncool, I see someone else now but still get Bill's in the mail saying I owe for those visits I wasnt there. My name is Gregory Hopkins. I have been a patient of Dr. Shibley's for almost two years and never have I experienced anything less than quality and compassionate care in his charge. I suffer with severe health issues that will follow me to the end of my days and had endured several pain-staking years with symptoms of two chronic illnesses. I have been a loyal patient to Dr. Shibley since August 2015. I have been on a medication called Soboxone two a day for two years. I need to have this medicine prescribed every two weeks by the doctor Shibley. I live on a fixed income and fell very short due to unforseen circumstances, it's hard to come up with so much money twice a month but if I don't then I will be very ill, so he has me. I explained how I didn't have the money for a visit, I asked him if he would still see me and he told me NO, the next day I asked if I could see him and he said no money no meds..."everyone has problems I was told" . I have been violently ill, puking, shaking and I feel like I'm gonna die from this withdrawal, this has been non-stop for a few weeks now and I just now am able to move to write this review. This doctor is the worst, most cruel, and greediest in the world. He charged me and my mom $2,000 in cash a month for 2 week prescriptions. He didn't care about me or my mother at all. All he cared about was getting $1,000 every 2 weeks. I saw him for subutex and klonopin and he just messed with my meds and changed the dose to induce more anxiety to me and every patient. He enjoyed talking about previous patients going back to drugs and ultimately overdosing, which he laughed at hysterically every time. I was a patient of Eric Shibley for almost a year in West Seattle. He is the most unprofessional non compassionate "doctor" I have ever seen. He prays on addicts. I paid him $500 a month which he requested in cash. He also tried to bill my insurance company. He took calls from other patients with me in the room. I heard him berate them for not having enough money and say "no money no prescription". He is praying on people so vulnerable and trying hard to turn their lives around. He would laugh about them telling me they will show up later with just their back pack, then they will pay him. I severed my relationship with him when he called me out of the blue asking me for a $3000 loan to help close some real estate scheme he was involved in. We sought an immigration exam from this quack, who took the cash and provided no medical exam. He took the money and proceeded to kick my wife out of the clinic, telling her to get her test elsewhere. When I called to inquire about the lack of service and see about getting the money back, I was cursed at, called an idiot, and hung up on. Dr. Eric Shibley is the best doctor me and my mother have ever seen. He is fully professional and goes out of his way to keep my chronically ill mother alive and well. He answers my call whenever I call, to keep me well and I suggest this doctor to anyone with any ilnness.
