TELDOC is the worst thing to happen to this practice. Since…read morethey became TELDOC, the service has gone downhill. The receptionists are rude and put you down. They give you silly reasons why things can't be done or why something has to be done a certain way. You ask to speak to the practice manager and there is not one available there anymore as they are based at Oakengates. I was reassured before the merge that the only thing to change would be more appointments would be available and at earlier and later times as well. I was promised that I would be able to stay at the Lawley surgery as it was my Local surgery and I didn't want to start driving to a surgery. Now, it can take days to get through on the phone to speak to someone. Even to get an emergency appointment. The app that used to allow you to book an appointment online for the following week and with a DR. of your choosing, now has, One available if you are very very lucky. It is usually for several weeks time and is always with the same Dr. And it will not be a face to face it will be a video call or a phone call. I have on going long term medical conditions. I used to be able to see the same Dr every few months. He knew my history and what we had planned. Now I spend so much time having to explain 30 years of history to a Dr I haven't seen before, for them to want to try a new tablet only for me to have been there done that. They get frustrated. They start treating me like a non Co operative patient and I don't get to try the new regimen I wanted to. All because there is now no continuity of care and treatment. But for now, I would just like to get an appointment at my local surgery without calling and holding for several days, only to be met with rude staff of for the phone to be eventually picked up and hung straight back up again. On a positive note, Dr Pringle still rocks and loves and gives his patients all the care they needs if only we could duplicate him. X

my old doctor he was. this surgery has 5 doctors and a…read morenurse. the staff are very helpful and will do there best to help solve any problems. me i went in 10 yrs ago and said i was not that well, 1 hr later i was in hospital for diabetes i stayed for 5 nights as i did not realize how bad i was. as i was on the heart ward. luck to be here and very grateful to Dr clegg for his help. its based on Burton road next to the cricket pitch there is a car park but it can get quiet full and people park on the grass verge in front of the cricket pitch. as woodville is getting bigger places are getting tight as they are now only taking patients from woodville only now.

A well run, friendly practice which makes visiting the doctor a more pleasant experience…read more The Range Medical Centre is conveniently located on Withington Road, and is easy to access from Chorlton, Hulme or Whalley Range via bus. The reception and admin staff are polite and courteous, making efforts to accommodate your appointment and work around your schedule, often calling you back if a more convenient slot becomes available. They are very professional and maintain patient confidentiality, and speak about patients respectfully when talking to each other (which I have seen reception staff fail to do in so many other practices). The waiting rooms are clean and comfortable, displaying useful information and calling you to the surgery rooms via a large screen. There is even an electronic check-in desk where you can sign in for your appointment when the reception desk is very busy. All of the doctors and practice nurses I have seen have been professional and caring, and I would recommend this surgery to anyone living in the catchment area.

There is a small car park at the rear of the surgery and also a huge car park around the back of the good news centre which is opposite to the surgery. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to support you through issues. they have a very usefull out of hours automated phone service so you can book and cancel appointments at awkward times of the day. They have a small play area for children to play in while waiting for appointments and also their own pharmacy

The new building however is huge and now boasts so many more different services to the community. Inside there is the main recpetion where you check into appointments, and a huge waiting area. They is rooms for doctors nurses, triage nurses, childrens rooms where they do injections and a big play area for children. There is a specific desk for prescriptions to. Upstairs is for the dentist, and midwife/health visitors. The whole place is really clean and spacious, and there is so much more room to cater for draytons ever growing population, right outside is a chemist which makes it easier for people to collect prescriptions as soon as they have been to the doctors. The service is always friendly and the staff do there best to help you.
